Rank: B
Player Requirements: Two C rank or one B rank and one C rank minimum. Must be Legal. Each player can only complete this job once.
Job Requirements: 7500 words minimum. Must defeat Boss and rescue the captive civilians.
Job Location: Cursed Lands
Job Description: A couple members of a merchant's guild have been kidnapped by what appeared to be human corpses, leading the said guild to make a request of your guild for a rescue. The corpses seemed to be controlled by a wizard and were dragged in the direction of the Cursed Lands, which the guild was traveling near in the hopes of saving time. Find the wizard, defeat him, and rescue his captives.
Enemies:
Weak: Zombies (x5) - Precisely what you might expect, a group of corpses brought to life using magic. Each takes 60 hp of damage before falling apart. They can swing their arms at you like a club for 30 hp of damage, but can also bite you. The bite will not turn you like in the movies, but the festering nature of their jaws will cause 10 hp of damage every post for 2 posts.
Normal: Skeletal Warrior (x2) - Having fallen in battle long ago, the flesh of these soldiers has long since rotted away, leaving only bones to fight for their twisted master. They may wield a spear, club, axe, or broadsword, all of which will do 40 hp of damage per hit. They take 80 hp each to defeat.
Strong: Abomination - A hulking monster that stands at 10 ft , pieced together from a great many dead bodies, this affront to both nature and the eyes can deal 60 hp of damage with each swing of its grotesque limbs and can charge at it's opponents, dealing 30 hp of damage in a 6 ft wide column stretching 15 ft long. It takes 100 hp to bring down, but moves slowly and isn't all that hard to keep a distance from when not charging.
Boss:
MORTALIS:
A powerful Necromancer, this cruel wizard kidnapped the members of the merchant guild that requested your aid simply to lure out wizards for his experiments. The creatures you faced up to this point were mere tests to establish whether you had a great deal of power at your disposal, choosing the cursed lands for their high quantity of tainted corpses. He can fire orbs of pure death energy at his targets, dealing 60 hp of damage each. The villain can also unleash a 30 ft long, 10 foot wide blast of the same such energy that deals 40 hp. Should these fail, he can call forth more of the undead mentioned earlier, forcing another monster roll. Even if one get's close enough to attack, he can call forth a wall of bones that takes 80 hp of damage to destroy. However, behind all of that, the necromancer is weak and takes only 40 hp of damage to defeat. Upon being beaten, whether the victor opted to kill him or not, Mortalis begin to rapidly disintegrate into black particles that will fade away soon after. Before he is completely gone, he will speak of the chosen ones and the Azure dragon that will save the world.
Reward: 12,000 Jewel and access to the mission Seiryu Arc: Search for the Red Devil.
Within the Kingdom of Fiore, there is a dark, wretched place. A place of death and decay, where the land lay barren and life is a pleasant memory. Every cruelty and sin against nature and man dwells within this place, forever preserved by whatever dark power keeps it. There was nothing in this place that any living thing should reasonably desire, no resources to claim and no prize to plunder. And yet, some souls found themselves making their way into this prison of every horror known to man, such as a certain gray haired wizard and his peculiar companion.
Dmitry Kazakov gazed into the abyss that was the cursed lands, a place he was always loathe to visit. While that was a fairly common sentiment to be sure, in his case, the cause was incredibly rare. Due to a unique ability to sense entities and beings of less physical nature, things that couldn't see or hear or touch. While some would consider such a thing a gift and it had certainly benefited the young wizard on many an occasion, it was a sick joke in such a place as this where he could feel the malevolence crawling up his back. 'Steel yourself, boy.' Came the voice of the wolf spirit, Hati. 'There is worse yet to come, I'm afraid.' Dmitry scoffed despite his own cold sweat. 'Don't need you worryin' over me, old man.' He had begun to regret agreeing to come along for this mission, but it made sense for him to tag along for any job involving this place, considering his unique experience in such phenomena. He also seemed to recall something about a request made by a large breasted woman, something to do with corpses and hostages and such. In all honesty, thinking on the subject seemed to only confuse him more, perhaps due to his own inability to understand other people.
All the same, he lamented that he had to be here yet again, albeit with trusted company. On that note, he turned his head to the companion at his side.
"So why are we here again?"
