Personality: Most people would describe Tovner as a cheerful and carefree individual who can often be see smiling. Unlike most mages, he doesn't want either fame or riches, instead he'd prefer to live an simple and peaceful life. He respects people who have achieved fame and riches through hard work and sacrifices and have a strong dislike for people who got everything handed to them on a silver platter. He has a habit of saying what he thinks people want to hear rather than what they need to, even if it would be better to simply tell the truth. He's very proud of being an exceed, even though he knows next to nothing about their culture or where they came from. So naturally, he doesn't like it when people treat him as if he were nothing more than a normal house cat. He feels uneasy around dragon slayers as most treats exceeds like him as nothing more than pets and therefore he tends to avoid them as best as he can. While he enjoys the company of humans, he prefers being around other exceeds as he thinks they have more in common. While he enjoys a good party from time to time, he prefers peace and quiet. He enjoys reading, and has even written a few novels but he's too embarrassed about it to tell people about them, so they remain unpublished. Tovnir also enjoys cooking, even though he's not very good at it, and dreams about opening up a restaurant someday. Despite his cooking skills being very good (to put it mildly), he views himself as an excellent chef and tends to get very upset if someone doesn't like his food. He can Tovner also tends to hold a grudge, and can stay angry at people for a long time. He doesn't like to talk about his problems and prefers to solve them himself without getting his friends involved. He's convinced that you only have one life, so he wants to experience as much as he possible can before he settles down. He's very loyal to those he considers to be his friends and would rather die than betray them. He also thinks very highly of the magic council, and views them as the sole reason the world hasn't fallen into chaos yet.
When in battle, Tovner tends to fight rather dirty, using whatever tricks necessary to win a fight. He refuses to kill his enemies unless it's absolutely necessary. He also tends to be the last one to get to the battlefield and the first one to tuck his tail behind his legs and flee. He also prefers to fight with other people, but he has no problem with doing it on his own. He doesn't like to be the leader when he's in a team, and prefers it when somebody else take that role. He tries his best to follow orders given to him, unless he thinks that there is a better way to do things or the orders goes against his morals.

Appearance: Since he's an Exceed, Tovner's appearance is that of a small, mildly anthropomorphous cat standing on his rear legs, with his two front legs acting as hands of sort. Most of his body is covered in red fur but the fur on his face, belly, paws and the end of his long tail is pink. He has large, pointed ears, and prominent tufts of dark fur jutting outwards in correspondence to his cheekbones, where his whiskers are.
