Now, Leila here wasn't exactly someone you should consider a passionate motorist. In fact, she was rather reluctant about this... after all, whenever she had to travel anywhere, she would do so on a horseback or by her own powers such as growing wings with magic. So naturally, there should be no reason for her to have a driving license, yes? Well, she was still quite fascinated by certain vehicles, especially motorbikes. They always looked so shiny and moved so fast! And as strange as it sounded, her father was also a Machias, a sentient machine. So by Leila's logic, she should get to know these engine-powered vehicles as much as she could? There was probably no backing away now, as she had already knocked on the doors of the building. Being let in by a young lad, she proceeded to fill out all the necessary forms while constantly trying to calm herself with that inner voice everyone listens to all day long.
I've got Rising Star position twice, took control over the Gardens of Eden when the need arose and already freed a number of villages and cities from monsters and bandits... how difficult could this be?That was the thought anyway. The entire process was quite fast, much faster than the silver-haired maiden expected in fact. And so, in no time at all, she found herself standing in front of an elderly lady who was standing only thanks to the cane working as her support. Long gray hair tied in a bun, wrinkled skin, seemingly closed eyes behind thick glasses... was she actually her instructed? This person seemed like someone who shouldn't really be driving anymore, especially with a faulty eyesight. Or closed eyes...
"Greetings! My name is Leila Vergious and I'm here to get my driving license! You are... my instructor, yes?""Yes, that would be me, dear. Aha, you don't need to be nervous or scared at all! Driving is nothing hard at all and it will be a second nature to you soon enough. Now, let's get in the car and start, shall we?"Her voice was gentle and almost like a lullaby. Well, at least she was no soldier-like person who would constantly shout for no real reason, so that was something. The car she was to drive certainly seen better days just like the instructor, but it seemed operational enough. Although... the moment Leila got inside, all of the different lights, buttons, and numbers quickly took her by surprise, an indication of what was to come. Honestly, she probably should have stayed with her horses... and most likely will stay with them afterward. Only while trying to get out of the garage, she managed to break just about every single rule there was about safe driving, even forgetting the seat belt in the moment. All in all, she was luckier than anything this time, as the old lady had the patience of a Saint, as well as one's forgiveness. So after several hours of something that could barely be called driving, the vehicle returned along with the two passengers inside, the Eden's witch leaving with shaky legs while the old lady seemed delighted from the ride. At the end of the day, Leila received her driving license and was free to leave this place forever. Or at least she hoped she would never have to return. She was also gladder than ever that humanity knew how to tame animals and use them to their advantage, what a perk of evolution!
