Many know the tales of the great bird of fire with a song that could tame dragons. Not many know that these same birds come in elemental variants, just like Dragons. Journey to the the planet Shinku in the Wakusei Portals and scour the dark land. When you come to what appears to be a shrine with a fist sized sphere colored crimson and shining like a gem, you'll know you've arrived.
From under the ground, a 15 yard long (tip to tail) bird will rise on the other side of the shrine, spreading its' 30 yard windspan to cast a shadow that shimmers brilliantly. Your battle begins here. The Phoenix is Blood and Fire Element, therefore is naturally weak to Earth and Water attacks. It's abilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform a breath attack of its' own element
• Absorb its' own element of magic through their feathers
• Use a wind attack that's partially its' own element
• Summon smaller elemental versions of itself
• Making it rain its' own element
• Become immune to magic completely regardless of rank for 1 post (once)
The Phoenix takes 25 hits of B Rank damage to take down. It's magic cannot be consumed by first, or second generation, or hybrid slayers but can be consumed by third generation slayers. When defeated, the bird won't actually die but rather bow to you before erupting into a cloud of crimson dust. You may now approach the gem on the pedestal and take it. Upon touching the gem, you're given a vision of a pedestal with four orbs; Ice Blue, Crimson, Grey, and Black. You're also given a vision of the location of all four orbs, even though you already got one.

Crimson: A world where the sky bleeds.

Normal B Rank EXP

After speaking with William Carter, Zenshin's insight as to his mysterious book greatly increased. What he had learned was more than enough to not only retrieve some of his lost magical power but, additionally, to read just a bit of his book. Inside, he learned bits and pieces of magic which had close ties to the creators of his tome: blood magic. While reading and attempting to decipher the cryptic diagrams contained within his text, an image flashed in his mind - the Wakusei portals and a red orb. He knew that they were trying to communicate with him. They wanted him to seek out this red orb and all he knew was that it had some kind of magical affinity relating to blood. The Sabertooth mage now knew better than to ascribe the visions and whispers he saw and heard in his mind to insanity. It was the beings which created his book speaking to him and they hadn't steered him wrong yet.
Currently, Zenshin only knew two things: how to get to the blood orb and that it was going to be quite dangerous. He needed a powerful Sabertooth mage to accompany him, preferably one which he had not met before since he wanted to get acquainted with as many guild members as he possibly could. They were his family, after all. Mashyuu he thought, thinking of the perfect mage to ask to accompany him in his madness driven quest for an orb whose origin and purpose were unknown to him. I haven't heard much but I do know that he's made quite a name for himself in the guild, leaving the jobs board barren at times he continued to think, sitting just outside the Wakusei portal which would lead him to Shinku. This was the first time he had shown any trust towards the beings which spoke to to him - for all he knew, there was no orb and they were leading him to a dark world which is notorious for mages not returning.
Still, he had to see. He had to know if they had knowledge that stretched even beyond his home realm. He had to see if they could be trusted and if they could and he benefited, perhaps it wasn't such a bad thing that they were constantly watching him, guiding him. There are worse fates than serving powerful entities. That idea is what led him to leave Mashyuu a note requesting his assistance in a personal matter, detailing the location and the time they would meet up, though not much more. Zenshin wanted to tell Mashyuu in person, if he really wanted to know, why exactly his fellow Sabertooth mage was dragging him into what was probably the most dangerous and darkest realm that the Wakusei portals could lead.
