Your Character's Worst Trait... BUT

So, I was wondering this because we often (or at least, in my experience) give our characters traits that will have negative consequences for them, or have the potential to.

For example, being super naive, easily manipulated, being prideful, falling a lot, arrogance, etc.
All of these could lead to other people getting hurt, but first and foremost usually the character who possesses the trait is affected in a bad way.

My question is, what is your character's worst trait... for other people?
An example would be greed. Aside from social consequences, it usually doesn't detract from a character's situation to be selfish, but it can cause a lot of problems for other people.

Or say, apathetic. It can mean that your character ignores the needs of other people.

I'm just curious about this : D it's purely conversational. At the moment Leah, I think, suffers from a severe case of being a big fat liar. And this can be troublesome for other people; her dishonesty can lead allies and enemies into sticky situations that they were unaware of. At the same time, it can also beget her a bunch of people who heavily dislike her.

Summer always wants attention, and sometimes if she doesn't get it, then she will sometimes go out of her way to get it. She is also very hyperactive at times.

Cirv can be pretty prideful and arrogant at times. He can tone it down but if he is fighting an opponent he thinks he can hold back with he might toy with them leading to unnecessary scenarios.

He has a tendency to fall into a mindset where he feels like he will lose more than he will win due to how his past is riddled with the losses he has had to deal with.

He also has an issue with getting really close with anyone because anyone who has gotten too close has ended up dying because of his past catching up to him and them becoming a target to exploit him.

Last thing is, he has a darker side to himself where he loses himself in his bloodlust due to his demonic side and his past where he forced himself to kill in order to protect his sister from being killed by his mother which caused him to develop a mindset where he cares little for others lives as long as he is able to achieve a goal(like killing members of a guild that hurt anyone close to him, etc).

Yup, got a chunk of negatives over the years here lol

Obsession. My character gets overly obsessed with anything she deems necessary. She will literally break into her obsessed object's house, clean their house, repair anything they need, do anything to clean that seems off, then leave, repairing the way they entered. As for Aera Tylidae, she's bloodthirsty, and overly curious. Bloodthirsty for obvious reasons, but Overly curious for reasons that may seem a bit odd. She literally cannot and will not observe any notice of propriety, and will stop at nothing for her answers.

My character is a panda and they're very lazy.

I got a few.

To start, Evi is a scientific NEET. He spends all day in either his lab or in the woods and avoids as much human conversation as possible. So he's anti-social. He also doesn't give a rats ass about peoples feelings.

He's also a gynophobe and doesn't know how to associate with females. Especially the robust and attractive kind.

Ard is a bit of a zealot when it comes to justice, and it gets him into trouble a lot

Also he can be too trusting

Mura is afraid of ghosts, but he's a shaman

That's a bit hard. Hmm. I'd say.. Aioai is careless. Careless in both good and bad. Example could be.. It shows in those she trusts. The way she allows herself to be hurt. In the opposite. Her carelessness could be for others. Getting hurt to protect, getting hurt because she can't find death, being hurt because she is alone. Being ripped apart because she doesn't attempt to try.. Killing everything because she forgets she is a monster made from the darkness of other's hearts. This carelessness goes deeper, the core is her honor and vows, these promises that intertwine. The result being not just honor, code or vow; not even contract. Either good nor evil, her opinion of her value is based on those whom interact with her. Her lack of control, a fear and aspects of carelessness. An endless loop that I guess I can say "Carelessness".

Alright soooo I'm going to compile a list of people's negative qualities based on what's been said in this thread *that's so amazing of you Leah, thanks so much for pointing out the flaws I worked so hard to put into my character!* No problem random dude! lowkey assumed the gender of my NPC

Alex's worst flaw is their need to calculate every single part of everything, stemming from their natural desire to be a great tactician. However that has no real effect on others...

Sure, that can count :P and I'm glad you got the gist of this thread, how it's the worst one that affects others.

I've got some.
Ursala has a bad case of kleptomania. She steals without considering if someone else worked hard for the stolen object. She may eat, and not pay for her meal not considering the tip the waitresses live off of. Stuff like that
She also almost never shows her emotions in a easy to tell way causing other people to never really know how to react to her. Makes her seem unpredictable in a way.
Lastly she can be a bit to friendly, and trusting sometimes. Her friendliness could potentially have harmful consequences. Like how she saved two enemies in a job once, and it could've easily back fired on her.

Haku'na is too trusting, and believes in the good will in all. He believes even the most ruthless mate could be convert d back to the light side, and can be gullible. Very trusting and tolerant.

I'm curious as to whether Haku'na's trusting nature is really worse for the people he trusts than him. I'm interested to see that in roleplay.

Thats a really good point, and it will be interesting to see how it unfolds during his magical carerr. Im sure we can find some way to have Haku'na and Leah join in on a job.
