    job info:

The sun beat down on the desert as hard as it always did during the day. Zenshin sat calmly on a short clay wall which marked the outer edge of a small village which was situated adjacent to a river - the last village through which the lacrima shipment passed before its magical signature was lost. Nearby, a small fort of thieves, ruffians, and scoundrels waited patiently for the next attempt to retrieve the lacrima by woefully unprepared wannabe heroes, though they had a surprise coming. They're reckless and unjust activity had actually gotten the Magic Council to put out a job for them, a job Zenshin was more than happy to accept despite the current state of his magical ability.

Although, because he was so magically crippled, Zenshin also decided it would be best to have a partner along from a guild which was recently formed: Infinity Hydra. He was excited to see what kind of mages would join it, or what the guild itself even valued in its members. All he really knew about the guild was that it was formed by members from Sabertooth and had an alliance with his guild: the Ouroboros Alliance. As Sabertooth's sister guild, they surely had some semblance of integrity and justice which was mostly the reason Zenshin was so excited to see what the guild was all about.

He held his metallic right hand out and thought the reaper, prompting energy to form in his palm and begin to take shape but, ultimately, just shatter like glass and dissipate into the air around him. His abilities still had not returned to him, though that wouldn't stop the mage from doing what he had to and helping those around him.

Advent had been wandering around as he so often did when he got bored, he was supposed to be meeting up with Rhyolo or Aiyana, he realised he would be in trouble if it was his teacher and his shadow would likely just be frustrated but he didn't care all that much at the moment as something had taken the white haired boys attention and had followed it but now it had growing boring and thus he had stopped doing so. Moving his head he scratched his cheek having no idea where he had ended up this time. Looking down almost as if he could see through his black blindfold he had realised the ground shifted as he moved his feet and that it was warm and blinked in confusion about the strange substance "Where have I found myself this time?" he asked almost to an invisible force "And what is this stuff? It keeps moving and shifting under my weight" he asked picking up a handful allowing the grains of sand to slip from his fingertips "So this is a desert? and that is sand?" he almost questioned sitting down playing with it a little more "Fun." he giggled happily before standing up and dusting himself off.

"It's kinda hot though is there water nearby or and I using Ayu to make water?" he flinched almost as if he had been swatted rubbing his head he turned his head to the side "Well I can't tell, the vibrations are all weird here" he huffed heading towards where the river and almost diving in as he felt the cooling water on his toes. "This is nice" he exclaimed currently unaware of the others presence nearby he tilted his head "So I wasn't meant to meet up with my shadow or my tutor?" he sat up scratching his head wondering what on earth it was that he forgot "Sabertooth member asked for help and I was sent to help because of an alliance between the two guilds?" he almost seemed confused though his eyes couldn't be seen, but shrugged after a few seconds as he didn't want to argue that kinda ended up with him with a sore head. "I can help" he said with a grin wondering where he should be going.

"The wall? What wall?" he asked heading towards the other only to fall over the wall and land flat on the other side "OUCH!" he exclaimed loudly turning over and rubbing his knees "Eighteen eyes between you all and you couldn't tell me to stop because I was about to fall over a wall!" he huffed and pouted his head turning towards Zenshin "Hi! Umm... Just a question... Are we meant to be meeting by any chance?" the periwinkle and white Infinity Hydra symbol openly displayed on his left cheek a grin on his face as he seeminly had completely forgotten that he had just falling over a wall just a few seconds before. "By the way what are we meant to be doing? I can't exactly remember" he confessed to the other

Oh, so I guess this is the day that I finally die Zenshin thought half sarcastically  before standing from the wall to help up who he suspected to be his partner on this job because of the guild mark located on the boy's cheek. "You're a young one! Nice to meet you, I'm Zenshin Hitsumo of Sabertooth. And as for your question- I would say it depends on whether or not you believe in destiny. I don't, but I can say that we are suppose to meet if you're here to help a mage out with a job" he informed the blindfolded boy. "We're going to secure a shipment of lacrima from a group of thieves who took something that didn't belong to them, surprisingly. Also, I'm almost afraid to ask, but what did you mean by 'eighteen eyes?'" he asked, doing a gesture which resembled air quotes to no one in particular seeing as how this mage couldn't see.

I'm sure it has something to do with his magic, though eighteen eyes? I've never heard of anything even remotely relating to such a feat. "I must also confess that I will more likely than not be able to perform any magic before we begin, to keep the surprises between us to a minimum. You see, I was once a pretty strong wizard, though now I might as well be a magic-less human. Please keep that in mind" he said, remembering that he might as well be as transparent as possible with his new partner, especially one that seemed to be a bit inexperienced as evidenced by the fact that he had just fallen over a wall.

"Before we begin, I would also like to drink some water, I'm parched from having waited in this overbearing dry heat. While we walk, I'd like to know about the kind of mage that will most likely be fighting alongside me. I'd like to know about your magic" he said as he walked towards the river, the grains of burning sand pushing their way through his toes. When he got to the river, he knelt down beside it and dunked his head into the water - cooling off and getting a refreshing drink at the same time. He lifted his head from the river and focused now on the words that would come out of the young wizard's mouth, ready to listen carefully as this knowledge would most likely be the most valuable asset in what Zenshin felt as though would be a coming fight.

"Age is irrelevant" he stated bluntly tilting his head to the side the grin seemingly vanishing "Age falls under time, life and dead care nothing for it as we are born and die at their whims not times." he explained in a matter of fact way. He shrugged after a moment standing up with the others help "Sand is hard to navigate for me, vibrations are harder to feel in shifting sand so this shall be a learning experience." He sighed digging his feet into the sand wiggling his bare feet giggling happily at the feeling of the sand moving between his toes as he enjoyed the warmth it gave. Though turned to look behind him "You know your right, black clothing is going to trap heat not good for warm environments" as he spoke his words his black clothing changed white while all the purple bar the one on the chest of his top changed to be an ice blue. "Oh wow, much better!" he exclaimed jumping out of the sand.

"HI ZENNI!" he exclaimed loudly and happily much like a child would a wide grin on his face "I'm Advent from Infinity Hydra." he said back after what the other had said to him, he guessed it was only right he should tell him his name and where he was from given that Zenshin had been nice enough to start with the formalities of introductions. "Destiny? What's that then?" his head turned to the right as he spoke "Oh right..." his head turned back to Zenshin and shook his head, his long white hair dancing around his body like falling snow. "I don't believe in destiny, fools do and those fools end up meeting death sooner rather than later... I do however believe in fate" it would likely be seen as strange with what he had said but he had his reasons.

"Yes, I'm here because someone from Sabertooth... I'm guessing that's you, requested help from Infinity Hydra and thus I am here" he explained scratching his cheek "What is it with people taking things that don't belong to them?" he huffed sitting back down on the sand and flopping back "The world has enough resources to share everything... I hate people, they're greedy headaches" he stated to the sky before yawning and humming a little "Okay, that make sense." he finally said sitting back up again finally realising what the last question was "I'm not allowed to say" his tone though still quite happy showed that this question wasn't up for debate because he hand no intention of answering it no matter how many times he was asked.

He listened a little more to what Zenshin had said "Can you hit things really hard?" he asked almost childlike "Because well I can't" he explained "so if you can hit hard, then I can take care of other things" he explained with a smile returning to his face. "I tend to keep nothing in mind half the time its easier that way you see" he giggled happily standing and dusting himself off "Does sand stain white?" he asked almost innocently out of the blue, it had been the first time had came across the substance and thought it might be the same as dirt or mud. "I'm sorry, I got side tracked I chased a butterfly, a feather, a moth, a bird and I think some sort of lizard along the way" he said honestly as he walked with the other to the water "So sand doesn't stain good to know" he said almost like he was answering his own question that he had previously asked just a few moments before, it would be like he was unable to focus on anything.

"I am not allowed" he said calmly as before when the the topic of magic came up "Never mention your magic, nothing good will ever come of it" he said almost as if he was repeating another's words from memory. It was one of the few things that he could remember vividly but that was due to having it drilled into his head day to day over the years and more so now that he was outside the safety of home "Keep all your information close to you, tell no one. Your magic, your name, where you are from, they will use this... nothing good will come of it, we say this because we love you and want to keep you safe" he said his head lowering "Forgive me, I won't go against their wants not on this" his voice was sincerely apologetic "We should get going, I get sick if in sunlight to long" he explained.

Completed Re: Desert Justice [job; Private]

Post by King Zenshin 23rd June 2017, 4:00 pm

Zenshin blinked at what he could only describe as 'eccentricity' of the young man before him. While he listened to every word that came out his Advent's mouth, he could hardly believe them, as they were self contradictory and mostly not even directed at him but rather the air around him. So he navigates by feeling the vibrations in the ground and has some kind of power to change clothing he thought, trying to piece together the limited knowledge he had on the mage to improve their chances at succeeding in their job despite only just meeting. Before he could continue to think, though, his train of thought was interrupted by an exclamation that he would've been convinced came from somebody else entirely had he not known better.

Advent, what a strange choice of name. And he doesn't believe in destiny... but believes in fate? How can one person be so inconsistent in their thoughts? He wasn't about to openly get into a discussion about this topic, for that is not why they were in this village and Magic Council probably wasn't the only group of people who were affected by these thieves. Zenshin felt sorry for those that lived in this small area who he believed were most likely terrorized by the thieves, but probably didn't have enough money to pay for a mage to come and displace the thugs who set up their camp not far from their home.

Advent's next comment, specifically on what he perceived humans to be was uncharacteristically cynical when compared to his upbeat, almost childish method of greeting the Sabertooth mage. "You seem to have had an unfortunate experience with humans, but I don't think most of us are too bad. Well, assuming you're human of course." he said with a tinge of sadness in his voice. It's depressing to see someone who should want to save the world think so negatively of his own species. I wonder the kind of traumatic passed he has had to make him to prematurely cynical he thought, listening to the rest of what he had to say.

While his curiosity was not satisfied about Advent's comments, he was asked a question which he proudly answered, "Hitting things very hard is something I can do. Some would say that I excel at this, even." Then another answer to another question, "Sand can certainly stain white. It's a grainy substance made out of rock and minerals, so while wearing white will certainly help with the heat, the clothing will more than likely be damaged." he said, almost confused at the priorities his partner seemingly had. However, his answer fell on deaf ears as Advent soon answered his own question, though not exactly with the answer that Zenshin would have expected.

Can he focus on anything? he thought before listening to the answer he was given for his question. While it was... disappointing, it gave him some insight into Advent. So he won't tell me his magic and the name he gave me is bizzare, most likely because it's not his real name. He's cynical, blind, and can't focus on one thing for more than a few minutes. His reticence with information seems to be heavily influenced if not a direct result from what he just referred to as "they" he thought, coming to the conclusion that he actually knew nothing of the person he was entrusting with his safety.

"Well, it's not far, let's go" he said as he stepped hard into the sand in an attempt to make navigation for his partner just a bit easier. "Their camp very near this village, hence it made a good meeting point" he continued, gazing upon the camp that got ever closer before they had finally arrived to see some thieves who were, at the very least, unwelcoming.

Advent looked to Zenshin a smile on his face once again as if the last few minutes never actually happened, his hand going to the back of his head as he walked though it was slower than normal as there was slim to no vibrations as he was use to, the only saving grace was that the elder man was heavy on his feet so gave him some direction at least "Oh, I should explain about my clothing..." he just remembered that he had changed his clothing colour "My clothing is made of a special material, it changes colour and shape depending on my want" he explained not wanting to freak him out over something that was easily explained away. "My clothing was a present" he finished happily, though he was finding it hard as he tried to climb up a sand mound. "And earlier it was rude to do those air quotation marks you know" he pouted he had been told about them before but forgot to mention but right now seemed as good a time as any to bring it up.

"Hay, Zenni why are we doing this and not you know soldiers?" he said though stopped scratching his head "I guess you have a point, they would quite literally cook inside their tin can armour" he stated then chuckled "Would be interesting to hear them dancing as they jump from one foot to the other." he giggled a little but flinched shortly afterwards as the laughing came to an abrupt end and he would be seen rubbing his head "Ouch, that wasn't needed." he complained pouting like a child being told off "I'm sorry, I know I was raised better than that." he said his voice truly apologetic as he spoke "Are these people that strong?" he enquired finally getting to the top of the sand mound finally.

"Since I arrived here, most people have been rude and greedy.." he admitted sitting down once more "There have been a few exceptions but everyone seems to not realise there is more than enough for everyone." he explained himself better seeming as the other was kind of concerned about his words "I'm not allowed to say what I am, sorry" he ended up he knew there was a lot about himself he had to keep secret and it wasn't because he was trying to be difficult he was just doing as he was told and been taught growing up. "Please don't be sad, one day they might trust you enough and I can tell you but right now they don't so I can't" he smiled weakly he held his hands in front of him a saddened and distressed look on his blindfolded face. It wasn't exactly that he was cynical he knew there was good people on Fiore he had met some of them but at the same point he knew darkness and that it seemed there was more if it in the world than there should be.

"Oh that's good because I can't really hit things at all" he said just as proudly as the other on the fact he could hit things "I am actually really happy about that fact, an expert in it" he was almost bouncy once more "Oh they said that it could stain but it won't stain my clothing because of the special material." he said with a happy tone getting up, he was content that the other had enforced what he had already been told "Thank you for helping me further my knowledge" he said bowing a little to the other a the cheerful grin still on his face. Where the other most likely thought him insane at this point Advent paid it no mind he was use to it and he used it to his own advantage when it was needed. "Fear the insane, Zenni." he said in a cold almost stoic voice, like his personality done a complete shift from one extreme to the other but it was short lived as his happy smile appeared once more.

"Don't worry Zenni, I'll be helpful promise!" he almost jumped up and down in his excitement, it had been only the second time that he had been on a job where he would have to deal with combat and though he hated the thought of harming people, he hated thieves and people who would hurt others for profit and other reasons even more "So we should continue going forward right?" he sighed his head turning to his feet he knew the sand would make things problematic for him, and as much as he hated it he knew he may have to use another method if they didn't get somewhere with solid ground so he could see things in his own unique way. "I also promise that you won't die and your safe with me... we have an alliance after all" he said remembering that important piece of information he had been told strangely.

"Oh look... idiots!" he proclaimed pointing at them he knew this was going to be difficult he had never tried using his magic with a shifting floor so this would be a learning experience, he just hoped it wouldn't be one that would backfire on them both because that could be a horrible way to start a friendship and he didn't want to disappoint anyone. Advent moved one foot back and moved his hands one was flat and covered his blindfold while the other was reached out with palm up and straight towards the enemies his movements where gentle but seemed to move almost disjointed an eerie dark mist starting to flow from him as the calm yet sporadic motions hand movements continued a warm but haunting tune following it, his hand, finger, leg and foot motions all precise and perfectly placed it was easy to see that he was fully concentrating on what he was doing. Soon Zenshin would be able to see a solid illusion of a desert temple sitting in ruins eventually he stopped "Use the scenery to our advantage" he said quietly.

There were so many guards. Too many to count. At least 50 thieves wielding hammers and swords littered the camp which contained the lacrima. Zenshin sighed before seeing an eerie black mist emanating from his companion. While intimidating, he felt fine knowing that this young man was on his side and a legal mage. I suppose he's an illusionist then? No, illusionists don't emanate black mist. It's a bit... darker than illusion magic. Hmm... he thought, still trying to piece together exactly what kind of magic his partner used. While it was an interesting mystery, he could very well ask him about it again after the job was over. He crouched down and focused on the surroundings which appeared to be the ruins of a temple. Of course, they weren't real but the large rocks felt real enough.

The bandits thought so too as they started yelling profanities relating to the sudden appearance of a labyrinth of ancient rocks which wasn't there before. In the ensuing chaos, Zenshin jumped on one of the smaller rocks and spotted a small group of four swordsmen. They were all facing away from each other in a plus formation as if they could cover all their blind spots. From the top of the rock, he grabbed a smaller rock and threw it at one of the heads, causing them to turn around and angrily blame one of his bandit partners for the injury. While they argued, Zenshin leapt as high as he could towards them and landed on the face of the one he had hit with the rock. Before the others could respond, he grabbed the scimitar which was still sheathed and drew it while facing the three others.

After their initial confusion, they laughed. They knew that Zenshin was outnumbered and seemingly outmatched, for they couldn't even feel his magical signature. While they laughed, Zenshin kicked the middle one in his solar plexus as hard as he could and when he bent over he smashed the back of his skull with the hilt of the weapon. "Would you like to continue laughing, or would you like to run away?" he asked, a look of utter seriousness in his eyes. They chose an option he did not offer and both attacked him at the same time. He blocked them both with a horizontal swing of his weapon followed by a quick stab into the right bandit's thigh. The final bandit tried another desperate swing, but Zenshin brought his weapon up with his knuckle pointing towards the sky to block the overhead attack and sent a hard palm strike into the man's jaw.

Before he could get his bearings, another bandit appeared. This one was armed with a staff and seemed to be a bit stronger than the others. Zenshin ran towards him but felt a gust of wind carry him up high into the air before slamming him down into the sand. Oh. He's a mage. "You're hardly worth my magic. You idiots get over here and give this fool a sharp death" he said, calling over twenty swordsmen. "Advent, if you hear the sound of my voice, stay away! I will not be safe for you to be around! Find and take care of the mages! Try to direct the swordsmen my way!" he yelled before slowly getting up.

His eyes began to glow a dark red as he was, in all respects, possessed by a being whose power would help him to defeat these bandits. A red aura surrounded his weapon and Zenshin rushed forward at speeds which surprised even the most experienced of the bandits. The first one he arrived at had their throat slit before he could even raise a sword. The second and third suffered similar fates as Zenshin picked up another sword. He was no longer himself and thus had no control over weather or not to kill them. Right now, the only thing that concerned him was the death of those around him as he searched for the strongest.

Advent smiled happily almost dancing through the ruins that he himself had made, he was content because the temple ruins had a floor as short as this would be at least it helped him for now as he followed the other towards the camp. He found himself unable to prevent himself from chuckling hearing how they seemed to be in a state of complete confusion about the ruins and where they had come from. "This is only the beginning, death will take you all by the end." his voice cold as his dancing seemed to come to an end and a more stoic version of himself seemed to be standing his face more serious than it had been before. Moving quickly and efficiently through the ruins he found his ideal spot to stop "Not me you have to be worried about Zenni" he called back his voice stern and cold.

"There are forty here... or at least there were, thirty-three left" he called back before taking a breath trying to decide the best way to deal with so many enemies "Truly up to you if you think we need one alive, personally I don't" he said his voice almost as if it was like a blizzard, it was clear to see this was not the same boy that he had spoken to before. Advent's arms began to move in a fluid motion the harsh tone that was around from the last spell changing to be neutral the hand motions moving in perfect harmony with the steps being made. A glowing light starting to form over them both and he continued the shield started to take shape shimmering lightly "If spells are cast return lightning with their spells" he whispered as the shield took effect hoping it would protect Zenshin more than himself since he could deal with things from afar.

As he continued the dance the droning neutral tone seemed to start having a softer undertone as the soothing undertone took effect any enemy within thirty meters of him would appear to become slower, their movements less precise and even slightly weaker if they where to hit. If someone was to see Advent's movements would still to be doing their own movements landing in awkward and unusual movements though somehow still seemed to fit into the rest of what he was doing, it would also be seen that Advent's mouth remained closed so it wouldn't exactly be clear as to where these melodies where coming from. For the moment this is all he would do as he knew he had to be careful doing to much to soon would cause him to drain his mana quickly and likely make him become sick since the sun was beating down. He knew the other was a capable warrior but still he wanted to be near by in case he needed aid in one way or another.

He had heard everything that was said to him but he paid little attention to it, because to get to the people he wanted to take out it would mean going right passed Zenshin something he told him not to do. 'Take out the mages you say? Sure, let me get right passed you and I'll get right on that...' he rolled his eyes under his blindfold as he continued to the dance wanting to sigh but knew he couldn't make a single tone or he would break the harmony he had created. Taking a silent sigh eventually a third melody started to be heard, it was not gentle like the undertone nor was it neutral like the main tune but it was calm and blended well. Advent's movements became slower as this melody changed the dark mist once again appearing from his body but this time it would seem different as the enemy started talking about hearing whispers and attacking one another seemingly randomly.

This was in fact not the case, advent had used a delusional illusion that made any within twenty meters of him see what he wished, in this case he made them see each other as himself or Zenshin. A smirk on his face, he knew he could only effect three at a time but it still affected six at this point as the people being attacked would have to defend and attack for survival but it was for nothing as six would be regardless; allowing him to do the same to others as soon as they where claimed by death which suited him fine since he managed to do as was requested of him. 'Six mages down.' he thought continuing to dance knowing even now the whispers would continue as he himself heard them but had learned to ignore them at least at the moment.

Frenzy was not a strong enough word to describe the sort of bloodthirsty trance that befell Zenshin. Never, not even in his days as an Eclipse Soul member, had he ever had such a lust for destruction. Indiscriminate and ultimate carnage was the only thought that went through his mind as the seventeen remaining swordsmen looked upon the ex-saint with fear in their eyes. The first move that was made was by one of the younger bandits who turned tail and ran. Only cowards ran and in his army, or at least the army he thought he had, this was tantamount to high treason. He raised the sword in his left hand and threw it at high speeds into the back of the fleeing bandit. It pierced the man's spine and he went down, paralyzed.

"Now that you know what happens to those who run. Come! Fight me with all of your spirit! At least then you can die an honorable death!" he roared. And fight they did, until their very last breath. Zenshin stabbed, sliced, and hit gleefully, taking great pleasure in the carnage he was causing. One by one, they failed to block his blows and fell. After he eliminated six more, a smoke bomb was used and so he could no longer see them. It mattered not, as this only made the hunt more exciting. One found him and tried stabbing him in the back, though he received quite a shock as a B-Ranked lightning spell coursed right through him followed by a sword in the chest. He picked up the fallen man's weapon and leapt from the smoke onto a larger stone. There, he saw that they had not fled from the smoke. Perfect... hahaha! he dove back in and immediately found one.

It didn't take a long time for him to find all of them, though occasionally they found him and inflicted grave wounds into his body - though this only excited him even more. A gash on his chest, a wound in his back, and even a cut across his thigh were the more severe injuries he sustained, though they were paper cuts in relation to what he did to those who inflicted the aforementioned injuries. More.... more... more! "More! Show yourselves to me!" he thought and then roared. The recruits had heard him and some even took a peek at the carnage he left in his wake and had long since fled. "There are still so many left to take" he thought before setting his eyes on a mage. "Excellent. You will be by next opponent!" he said to the mage who immediately looked at him.

Zenshin wasted no time in bursting forward, dodging the fire spells which were being slung at him as if they were arrows. Before the mage knew it, Zenshin had already made it to his position and managed to land a horizontal cut along the woman's stomach. Before he could continue his assault though, he was pushed. Hard. This was by a gale of a force that even in his frenzied state he could not overcome. While being kept in place, the woman he had just cut was beginning to chant a spell. With a smile, he managed to break his hand free from the force of the wind for long enough to throw the blade at the apparently immobile mage, though it was knocked out of the air by yet another wind spell. Before he knew it, the rock Zenshin was stuck to violently exploded, sending him flying forward barely clinging to consciousness. This state of mind made him reckless, and while he was a force to be reckoned with in melee combat, he was still without his magic and needed the help of his partner if he was to survive.

Advent kept a figurative eye on the other continuing the complex dance he was doing, he could already feel it taking it's toll on him but then he had little choice to continue or the back lash would be far worse than what completing it would be. He wanted to know if the other was feeling alright but given that he was up close and personal with these people he doubted it. He tried to think of a way to keep the spell going at the same time as healing the other, eventually he figured it out as the song took on a slight echoed tone to it almost making it seem as if the whole thing was happening around the area. As this happened Advent's movements became ore like a willow tree captured within the wind though his other movements seemed uninterrupted by the swaying that he was now doing however the hand gestures seem to be getting faster and more complex as he did so.

Coming from Advent's own shadow seemed to be eight more versions of himself instantly falling into the exact movements that Advent himself was doing. The strange music seemingly becoming stronger and louder than what it had been in the beginning the illusion starting pitting the last four mages against each other their magic countering and taking out the others given their flame and wind capabilities 'mages are taken care of' he thought to himself as he chuckled inwardly hearing the clank of swords knowing some of the swordsmen where being affected by the delusional infection he was casting. Now he stopped knowing that the clones would continue dancing keeping the spells going so he didn't have to worry about being hit by the failing consequences.

Advent slowly slid his left foot forward the purple symbols on the inside of it began to glow gently. The runes themselves started to pale to white but the glow remained purple giving it an almost lavender look as he takes a knee almost if bowing to a noble or a royal, the left hand raising to his chest as his head lowered as if he was stating that he was a humble servant to some unseen force. For a moment the whole area would seem to fall into complete silence until a white seal seemed to form under advent and reach out thirty meters. Now he moved to his knees his hands going onto sit in front of his chest in a closed lotus position his body taking on an ethereal glow his hair and clothing looking almost opalescent as he began to allow the closed lotus to open, voices of joy and hope entwined with the other harmony that was now heard once more his hand lotus opened more a pale green orb would be seen inside it. He knew this would heal his ally easily (50% for first turn, 25% for the four turns after) He knew if the other needed more support he could give it to him but the other would have to let him know so he could give the help as he was stuck in this position for now.

As he was knocked over, Advent had apparently done... something and his wounds began to close. His bones mended themselves at an incredible rate and the burns on his back healed without any scarring. Zenshin's smile was, at the very least, maniacal. Blood covered his clothes and his blade, though he was only just beginning his rampage. There were no longer any mages left to keep him from quenching his blood lust- and the other swordsmen knew it. These thieves, while dishonorable, knew enough to understand the implications of having no magical protection against a possessed foe. One spoke up: "What do you want from us!" Another answered the scared bandit's question: "He's with a freaky mage, they're obviously here from a guild! They want the lacrima we stole! I told the boss that the shipment was too risky!" A third mage, more afraid of Zenshin than of his own boss cried out "The lacrima shipment is buried in the sand two miles north of here! Please don't kill us!"

He was probably hysterical enough that even Advent could've heard him, though Zenshin was too crazed to care. Even so, he responded calmly - "I don't care about the lacrima. I care about finding a warrior who can match my strength." With those simple phrases, he launched into the crowd of remaining swordsmen, cutting down at least ten more while suffering superficial injuries on account of the fact that most of them tried running instead of fighting. They had already seen that his wounds mysteriously healed on account of his partner, so the bandits figured that trying to fight the demon was futile. Well, until a large hammer wielding banding appeared. The others looked upon him as their savior and Zenshin believed that perhaps he had met his match.

Knowing that he had to take the offensive or risk being overwhelmed by the two swords of the blood thirsty warrior, the hammer man swung his long hammer out horizontally as hard as he could, attempting to keep Zenshin at a safe distance or, if it landed, hit his foe with his full power. Zenshin, though, was unconcerned with safety and danger. What he wanted was to win at all costs, and in this way he had won the fight before even clashing with the hammer. The man with the hammer was afraid and angry. His fear made him rigid and his anger made him reckless. The corpses of those he once called allies and friends littered the ground around him, their blood nothing more than an accessory to his current opponent.

As he ran towards the hammer giant, he threw his sword into the man's chest and when he was within the arc of the hammer, he simply caught it with his left hand. His hand took the full force of the giant's mass and, as a result, broke in several places. Instead of recoiling in pain, however, he simply laughed while sending the sword in his right hand straight into the giant's diaphragm. With that, the short scuffle was over. The hammer man collapsed to his knees and tried desperately to fill his lungs. When he couldn't, he went into shock and simply fell onto his face. "You might've been strong, but I'm not afraid of a little pain" he said to the dying man.  Zenshin, while reckless and insanely obsessive about killing and finding a warrior to match him in battle, knew at the very least that Advent was somewhere supporting him with some kind of healing spell and thus his recklessness only increased exponentially. "Now, come, the rest of you! You know what will happen if you try to run!" he yelled, already feeling the effects of Advent's magic giving within his left hand.

Advent felt the solid ground beneath him now becoming soft like the sand it previously had been before he started casting his fairy illusion, it meant that their was no longer the temple ruins for coverage which worried him a great deal given the situation that he found himself in. He knew he could end the life's grace requiem at any point but between the other needing healed and the punishment for breaking requiem's early it didn't seem overly appealing to the white haired youth. The green orb almost gently cradled within the open lotus hand gesture that Advent still held seemingly got slightly darker, he knew it would continue to heal but took note as he knew what would happen if he over done it by even one. 'second tick' he thought to himself (heals for 25% c-rank damage)

He wished there was some nature around but it was a desert and from what he had noticed and been told trying to find any nature here was a miracle due to how sparse water was. 'This will be harder due to that' he thought due to the connection he had with his spells the controlled the movements of the shade's, three instantly moved to their knees the fingers moving like the limbs of a willow tree. Advent knew that the life's blessing would grant the other some more of his health (20hp). He chuckled inwardly as he heard that three more pairs of so called allies fight one another, he knew that these six unfortunate people would be the last that would fall victim for the moment to his delusional infection; he knew that the peaceful harmony was going on so the enemy would still be weakened and that the shield that he put up would have come to an end also.

Bodies littered the blood soaked sand. Zenshin was beginning to regain control of his senses and actions, though he still had a thirst for blood. He and Advent had the information they needed but he still craved battle. A desire to fight the remaining swordsmen to the death overwhelmed him despite his body wanting to give out beneath him. His recklessness would certainly catch up with him when this trance he was in subsided, though for now he could still easily move around. In fact, his movement was amplified by his frenzy. Advent's illusion had now finally worn off, leaving the two mages with no place to hide from the remaining twenty seven bandits. The Sabertooth mage didn't see it like this, instead he saw his situation a little differently. Now they have no place to hide. The two mages were surrounded by the twenty seven swordsmen in a circle. They figured that if they all attacked there was no way that the mages could stop them all. They, of course, would find themselves to be sourly mistaken.

Most, seeing the wake left by the two scimitars wielded by the crazed Sabertooth mage decided to go after the blind mage which created illusions. Zenshin decided, in that moment, he would slay Advent last as he seemed the most worthy opponent and needed to dispatch of these weaklings quickly. He ran as quickly as he could towards towards his job partner and jumped over him, sticking his leg out and nailing one of the swordsmen in the forehead, incapacitating him. "To ignore your fears is to ignore a problem. I won't let you ignore me" he thought as he witnessed some of the swordsmen fighting and killing each other. No doubt it was the work of the illusion mage and at any other time, Zenshin would be curious to know how it worked. This time, his mind was a bit preoccupied by the thrill of battle.

Swing after swing, metal clashed, attacks were blocked, and mortal wounds were inflicted. One, then two, then four, and then eight. Swordsmen fell to his blade. Madness had taken over and it had a vice grip on his actions. His fighting style was not calculated. It was not graceful nor was it defensive. His current fighting style was reckless aggression. Blocking strikes was an afterthought which is perhaps why new gashes appeared on his back, chest, and legs. In striking down ten more opponents in such an aggressive manner, he had allowed openings in his defense which his enemies did not hesitate to exploit right before he struck a final blow. At this point his movements became sluggish and even more inaccurate. He was losing a lot of blood, though he felt no pain. All he knew was that his motor functions were not cooperating with his mind. His health was quickly deteriorating and soon it would be up to Advent to complete the mission and perhaps even carry his body to safety, if he even lived through the experience.

Advent kept his concentration listening to his guardians and how they were speaking of the Zenshin's life force, he himself could take hits and be fine but he knew that the person he was partnered with was in bad shape and soon his cycle for this life would come to an end if something wasn't done and he wouldn't have such a thing happening when he knew he could stop it. His hands were tied but at the same time that would be exactly the solution that he would choose take care of this problem 'Ayu, I need assistance... bind them in ice also tell Zenni to close his eyes.' he thought, he knew that Ayu though powerful in his own right could only bind three of them so that would still leave seven to contend with. At the moment he thought such words a tall male with an athletic tone standing six foot, six inches with ice blue hair a white hanfu with ice blue hems and cuffs appeared his hair tied back neatly his pale blue eyes looking between Advent and Zenshin.

"Esaeu qlae yabbiqoirja raph qae chonr qae trael s'ar iq's qiza qae nur" he said shaking his head knowing that Zenshin most likely didn't understand what was said but that Advent would and given his current action could say nothing to back talk. With a single quick movement chains of ice appeared in his hand his eyes closing he opened his hand starting to seemingly to chant the chains floating while emitting a white glow before wrapping around three of the closest opponents; as it was done he looked to Zenshin "Don't think on it... oh and close eyes, not good what soon happen" he said his tone icy as if he knew the boys intentions after the enemies were dealt with; soon afterwards he seemed to fade almost making him seem like a trick of the sun if it wasn't for the three bound enemies.

Maintaining his concentration he knew he would likely have some explaining to do later about what just transpired and what well what had happened here in general. This was something he wasn't looking forward to considering he wasn't allowed to go into anything about himself which he knew would keep him at arms length with people but also understood this was for his own good. Using the link to the shades he continued what they were doing but one broke off making a single quick movement a shriek instantly heard coming from inside the now seemingly tare in reality. He would have prayed to the higher powers that the other closed his eyes and that he still had the ability to fight while blind but then he didn't believe in such beings given how cruel a fate he himself had been given.

The shade would then move its hands into the tare bringing out black ethereal chains, wisps seen coming from them as it launched forward binding four others 'if you're eyes are open don't look inside the rift' his thoughts seemed to beg, he knew that the other would not be able to hear but he still done it anyway. Due to the goings on he knew that the enemies would be bound for three turns and that for right now he could heal Zenshin a bit more (75% heal at c rank). Advent realised that his shades would vanish soon and that would make things more difficult for the two. He was starting to feel faint he had been exerting himself to much and it would mean that soon he would fall sick and if that happened it wouldn't be good.

A new enemy, hahaha. I'll kill him now. Looks strong he thought, looking at the tall man who seemingly came out of nowhere with his crazy eyes. He charged, leapt, and was about to take a swing before hearing it speak and then speak again. The white haired mage didn't strike Ayu, he simply landed on the ground with his eyes closed. Somehow, hearing that creature speak that strange language snapped him out of his blood crazed trance. What is going on? he thought, taking a look around and seeing the pile of bodies and the red sand around him and his partner. Oh. Looks like I may have made a mistake in giving into the voices in my head, though they did make pretty good work of the bandits. Well, I guess I did he thought, regaining control of his own body before instinctively collapsing on his knee. His wounds were healing thanks to Advent's magic, though he still felt the burning pain shoot through his screaming nerves.

With his eyes closed, he spoke to his partner: "Hey Advent, I think I might've over exerted my body over here. I can hardly move" he said, shakily standing up. Zenshin opened his eyes and seven of the remaining ten opponents had been bound by some kind of magic performed by Advent. His blind eye saw that the leylines around where the chains had come out of were... damaged and quickly returning to their original state. "Quite a nasty power if it does that kind of damage to the leylines. I wouldn't want to see you angry, Advent" he said, remarking on what he had seen. Very few mages he knew could damage space in such a particular way. His mentor, Aegis Bright, he himself, and now Advent were the only three he knew of who could do such a thing.

His body was not cooperating with him, though that didn't stop the white haired Sabertooth mage from raising a bloody scimitar up and staring at the three thieves who had stopped dead in their tracks. Their eyes were wide like that of an animal which had just seen a hunter. Whatever they had seen Advent and Zenshin do to their friends was seemingly too much and with the other seven incapacitated, they were free to go and get what they had come for. "Well Advent, it seems as though our work here is done. I hope that I didn't do anything to you nor make you witness whatever I did to those bandits" he said, pointing to the bodies littering the wet sand. "It's time to go get what we came here for, and I have a feeling it's not too far north." While he was barely conscious throughout the fighting, his subconscious remembered what those earlier bandits had told him.

Advent remained quiet continuing to the life's grace requiem he listened to what Zenshin was saying, he wasn't overly surprised given the blood rage he went into and the only reason he knew that was because of the new voices he now heard in the area and they seemed none to happy with how they met their demise. Right now he couldn't exactly say anything as his birth requiem where less forgiving if he broke them after they had begun he knew eventually he would have to break it before the orb turned greeny black colour since they where down to the last ten enemies. He was surprised to feel that three had begun to flee leaving their seven companions at the mercy of Advent and Zenshin 'No honour among thieves then hu' he thought to himself knowing that the ice chains would slowly freeze the three locked within while the four locked within the black chains would slowly lose their vitality.

He was doing the right thing in his mind, they had stolen, likely killed and harmed innocent people and this was their punishment being served. His eyes instantly opened as all sound ceased in the area "No, I'm not like that Zen-Ze... never... never..." he shook a little the bindings instantly shattering as he ended the magic the green orb instantly vanishing as he put his hand to his chest his face showing how he was in pain the tare vanishing after a moment making a sigh of relief pass Advent's lips. He tilted his head feeling the faint vibrations in the sand "They're leaving, we should retrieve the lacrima now." he said slowly standing, he felt winded and took note of the corrupting marks on his body "Later, it's not to bad at the moment" he whispered slowly moving towards Zenshin "I think I've been angry only once" he finally commented in a small voice helping his ally to his feet.

propping him up with his own body they slowly made their way towards were the lacrima had been said to be held "You realise I'm blind I can't see anything" he explained moving his hand to pat the older males head "Silly.." he stated with a child like grin, he knew what was done but as he knew this would lead to more questions he decided to remain silent on the subject. He brought them both in to a tent in the centre of it stood a crate of Lacrima "Guess that's it... we need a bit of help would you mind pretty please...." he grinned hearing the crate being lifted and walked back out of the tent moving over dead bodies towards the location the crate was meant to be delivered, however Zenni would see nothing but a floating crate.
