This ability allows him to learn more about those people who fall under those categories with ease, such as discovering their names, magics, and heritage. Personality: There are many things you can compare Achim to. Perhaps a solitary animal due to his aloof spirit, or maybe a child for his silly and foolish behavior. Though those are just a couple, we must first understand the mentality of Achim before we can understand him fully. - To start, he is a very "take it easy" kind of person, and takes most everything with a grain of salt. This redeems him to be a very carefree person, and doesn't pay enough respect where it is normally due. He comes off as silly, foolish, and irresponsible, but it only compliments his carefree nature, and acknowledges his childish spirit as a way to keep him interested in others and himself. Because of the idea that he must never be bored, Achim finds himself putting himself in situations where no one would allow themselves to be placed into. But it can be said that it is because of his curiosity that he finds himself in those kind of conditions, which, he argues is much more pleasant than it seems. Not something you'd often associate with those who'd feel superior, Achim is quite the loyal and obedient person, to the right people. Though he doesn't feel obligated to listen to others who are either weaker than him or people he doesn't like, more than likely you will find him cooperating more than never. The idea of him choosing to cooperate, and never obeying fits him perfectly. This doesn't make him a good teammate nor a respectful person, but it does help make better conditions for himself. Achim can be further described as someone he lacks empathy, but can come across as sympathetic. Because of him lacking empathy and him being aware of that, Achim sees no issue with him and his twisted mentality and the initiative he takes to perform actions that are often looked down upon, such as murder, acts of violence, and finding thrill in putting people in psychotic situations. To a degree, you can label him a 'low key sadist', though he is very subtle about it. This expresses itself the most when you see Achim placing people in psychotic situations to bring the worst of them out into view, and also reveals how manipulative Achim can be, going out of his way to create scenarios that he can enjoy as entertainment. This then ties back into his feeling of superiority, and how easygoing he feels when playing with the strings that tie into someone's soul and fears, making him a mild sadist, finding pleasure in psychotic situations, but not so much the sight of one's suffering. To be blunt, whether they suffer or not in the process does not phase Achim. He just doesn't have the empathetic capacity to really pay it mind. Besides that, he comes across acting childish for his age. Although he says he's eighteen (despite that being a lie), and he acts much younger than he really is. He is mature, to an extent, he just chooses not to be. He is quite interested in children and how they behave, how very foolish they can be. When in groups, Achim can easily lighten the mood or befriend others with his facade of his immaturity and silliness. Though he primarily from silly and childish to distant and aloof because he cannot define his own self. If one were to ask 'Who are you?' to this man, he would not be able to answer in truth, for he does not know himself. And so, he forces himself to develop characteristics that he would not normally have. Such has his silliness and childishness. Though one could argue that it is because he was able to develop these character traits that he always had the capacity to have them, thus defining his character, or his potential. On the other hand, this immature and foolish 'adult kid' can easily switch from silly to twisted, or crude. The transition can be so quick and unpredictable that it shocks even himself, how when one can push the write buttons to have him regress back to a cold nature he had always had. Such as his sympathy being replaced with false pity, and his enjoyment for psychotic situations being formed into true sadism. It is at this state that his aloofness and other traits express themselves the best. Achim, on a lighter note, is very informal. He has the lack of honorifics enough to address parents by their first names, which is uncommon in most societies. And although he does feel mildly superior to most others, he is not very open about it. Not so much where he boasts about power, or picks fights with others he finds himself confident that he'd win. In fact, he behaves in the complete opposite direction. He claims to be weaker than he really is and is very open on about how inferior can be to others. Which is odd. Under a command, Achim falls back into the mentality of 'he chooses to cooperate, not obey', which can be him either very disobedient or obedient. It simply depends on who's commanding. A strong, powerful leader is the man he would listen to. A man who's all bark and no bite? Not in a million years. - - Updates To Personality #1 - - Would you expect an incubus to be anything but... lustful? Of course not! It is the nature of an incubus to be seductive, but not for Achim. Despite his heritage, Achim is shown to be exceptionally friendly, generous, considerate, and playful. He tends to get along with most people, of all age groups (but ironically, not his own!), and is told that he has a very approachable demeanor. In fact, he doesn't show any interest in erotic activities at all. If anything, he is more family oriented and focused on his relationships. However, although not as erotic as incubi tend to be, he certainly knows how to mask his true intentions. It is not that Achim lies, per say, in fact, he's quite an honest person, he just withholds information. Deceiving others is what he is good at, misleading them is what he specializes in. Even his very appearance was chosen to mislead his victims. A sweet and kind boy who seeks nothing but a day of play, now a boy who seeks discord and deconstructing his victims. Quite the catalyst. But not all of his actions hide an ulterior motive, he is a strange demon. He does not consider himself a villain, he just acts on what he thinks will suppress his boredom. Truthfully, his friendliness and generosity were not born from the desire to deceive, he was always a nice man, but he uses his kindness to exploit others. Whether it be to get that discount on an ice cream cone or to potentially make the worst, now the inevitable. Generally, his sense of superiority is not for all things. In fact, it's very subtle. He simply just feels above a man (human being), and instead of being mean spirited towards them, he doesn't treat them much differently than he would someone beyond humanity, he simply just has different feelings towards them. Achim generally is easily overwhelmed by strong emotions, such as anger or sadness, but never fear. Ironic for an incubus to have such little control over emotions, isn't it? Regardless, Achim is both personable and easy to talk to, but defiant and rebellious. When it comes to the questionable ideals and fetishes of Achim, they are no different, but ultimately makes him a quirky character. In combat, Achim is enthusiastic and careful, and finds himself in situations where he cooperates, just never obeys. - - Update To Personality #2 (Proper pronouns) - - Achim follows her own code of great honor and valor. In fact, she lives by it. She is a daring character that takes challenges if it holds a potential for victory or success. Though she is mischievous and quirky, she can be very stern and solemn. If anything, she becomes a coldblooded woman when in the heat of combat. Achim, when in commonplace, may come off as rude or sarcastic, but genuinely just likes to tease people. Not only is Achim deathly loyal, but obedient. Along with that traditional sense of honor and valor, Achim harbors quite the attitude. She's quick to snap at people, and often times finds herself resorting to anger to solve commonplace problems. She is what could be considered a tsundere, perhaps? Likes:
