[Fairy Tail] The Blade of the Hunter Empty [Fairy Tail] The Blade of the Hunter

Post by Guest 3rd November 2016, 9:51 am

Job Title: The Blade of the Hunter
    Rank: D
Player Requirements: D-rank magi; must be a part of Fairy Tail. Max three (3) magi. 500 words solo, 1000 words group.
Job Requirements: You must journey for two (2) weeks to a small cavern located off the shore of a tiny island miles into Tetsukazu. It is your job to bring back an item that is hidden inside of the cave and give it to your guild master, who will assess your mission in the end. A maximum of two other guild members of your choice can journey with you to the cavern, but they must bring back their own items as proof of the journey. Failure to bring back an item as proof of the journey will be considered a failed mission and no rewards will be given. You will also have the humiliation of not being able to live up to your guild master's expectations for a while.
    Job Location: Tetsukazu
    Job Description:
You have been tasked by your guild master to travel the lands of Tetsukazu to a small cavern located off the shore of a small island. This island is far into the depths of Tetsukazu, enough that you have to pass through winter wastelands, deserts, and even forests unknown to you. Despite how daunting the task sounds, you take it up as a means of proving your worth to your guild master and retrieving an item within the cave. Your guild master has given you two (2) weeks in order to get to the cave and bring back something from inside the cave. If you do not return within two (2) weeks' time, your guild master will consider it a failed mission and you dead. Should two (2) weeks' time pass and you have safely returned from the journey back to the guild, your guild master will assess your mission and let you keep the item you brought back as proof. Because of how daunting the task is, your guild master is willing to let you take two (2) other magi with you on the journey.
    Enemies:
Weak: Ephait x5: These are scraggly, unfed-looking canines that roam the arctic lands of Tetsukazu, both in packs and on their own. They are near impossible to see across the white wasteland as their fur easily blends into the snow-covered grounds. Ephait will do anything that it takes in order to assure that they have a meal by the end of the night or die trying. Known for attacking on sight, it is best that you avoid confrontations of such savage beasts on your journey to find the Blade of the Hunter. Notable for their long, sharp claws and piercing teeth, Ephait are capable of dealing D-rank melee damage. While known for their claws and teeth, Ephait can let off a high-pitched howl that can easily pierce the eardrums of unsuspecting victims, dealing both D-rank spell damage and causing temporary or permanent deafness (dependent on the player). It, essentially, takes two (2) D-rank hits to bring them down each, and they often come in packs of five (5).
Normal: Drux x3: Looking similar to deer, Drux are seemingly docile creatures from a distance, but are able to be easily spooked. The moment they are spooked, Drux will take off at double the running speed of a D-rank magus, and move in a herd. Their large claws can easily deal D-rank melee damage + 50% and the shield-like palettes on their heads can be used as weak weapons. While a great source of meat for your journey, it's best not to startle them and if you do, avoid them at all costs. If a stampede of Drux is to occur, it's most noteworthy to assume that Drux can easily be taken down in four (4) D-rank hits. Mothers will often stay by their babies, but don't underestimate the temper of a mother Drux protecting its young. Provoking Drux will cause the docile creatures to attack, so it's best to not provoke the Drux while passing through.
Strong: Phains x2: Terrifyingly giant lizards, but don't worry, Phains are actually blind creatures so they aren't able to see what you're doing. However, due to their lack of sight, they have adept hearing and can sense your movement through the vibrations in the ground. Phains are chameleon-like creatures well-over eight [8] meters in length and three (3) meters in height. They have long, sharp tongues that can reach up to double their length and can cut for C-rank melee damage. These creatures are even able to use their tails as a means of sweeping your feet out from under you and slamming them down on you for C-rank spell damage. Aggressive creatures, which are slow in speed, but will still give chase if you try to run away from them. It takes six (6) D-rank hits to bring them down and they come in pairs, which makes it much more difficult to deal with them.
Boss: Vo: Upon arriving at the entrance to the cave, in which the Blade of the Hunter resides in, you will be stopped by a fifteen (15) foot lion. This lion is rather grotesque in appearance, having cordyceps covering all of its face and splitting it in half; its eyes unseen and nose gone. Other cordyceps speckle the body of the lion, oozing out blood as if the fungus is hurting the lion as it grows on it. Vo is a sentient being and is capable of understanding and speaking the human language, going as far as to inquire why you have come to the cave and how you manage to get there. After you answer it, it will then demand that you battle it in order to pass the final test and get into the cave to retrieve the blade. It has triple the amount of HP that a D-rank has (300HP) and is capable of dealing 1.5x C-rank spell damage with its claws and teeth. Taking Vo down typically requires five (5) C-rank hits, or ten (10) D-rank hits before it will consider itself defeated and let you pass.
Reward: 5,000J and a weak weapon your choice.
