Leila Vergious • Golden Phoenix • C Rank
An unexplainable feeling of being drawn towards something, as if an invisible force was pulling your hand or pushing into your back. One step at a time, you would feel yourself getting closer to that elusive goal of yours, yet not knowing what it was that you were actually feeling. Leila was like that right now, as she slowly walked along the edge of Serene cliff, location that she had visited couple of times already in the past. The gentle wind was once more blowing relentlessly, forcing her silver and gray hair to dance in it’s grasp, along with the straws of green grass all around her. All it took was one look over the edge, allowing the girl to peer over landscape below, forests and rivers stretching as far as her eyes could see. This was the nature of Earthland that she came to love over the years. Truly, this world was all to her despite everything bad that had happened. To not look back and only move ahead, that was what she had to do. And so far, she was doing a pretty fine job of it, even if it meant somewhat avoiding the person she loved most. Though there was no doubt that she would have her moments with the black haired canine goddess in the future. It was only one of the many differences, another being the state of her own world named Gardens of Eden.
Even after everything she tried, it was still filled with emptiness. Or rather, the world appeared that way because she was the only truly living being that belonged there anymore. All the spirits that used to answer her call were gone now, result of the goddess’ long absence. Looking back at it, sacrificing her everything for someone else was truly foolish. It caused so many problems, there was no way she could forgive herself for that so easily. And yet, all she wished for was the warm embrace of her spirits right now. Her loyal servants that she adored so dearly, those that she could trust without a spec of worry in her mind, thoughts of possible betrayal never even present. Did she really have to accept the fact that they were gone for good? She wished that she could, for she would at least be able to move forward in her life then. And yet, there was this mysterious force still pushing her forward, calling her name in the sweetest of voices, like a forbidden fruit hanging on a tree of death and life. And the closer she got to tearing this fruit from it’s branch, the more she was filled with warm and familiar sensation. Yes, she absolutely had to see where this would lead her, even if it was nothing more than her own subconsciousness playing tricks at her or even enemy trying to lure her away from the civilization and possible help. She was willing to take any risk just so that she could calm this feeling of hers, so that she could say that she did indeed do everything she could, even if it were to fail. That way, her mind would be clear of any doubt and what ifs.
