Adalia smiled, a rare moment. Here she was, in an entirely new country, all in her lonesome, doing just fine. She wasn't entirely sure about what she should be doing first, truth be told; even though she is fairly proficient in many things, she never really dealt with the outside world all too much, so she didn't really understand much. She did, however, got wind of this thing called a "passport", something that would allow her to travel through many countries legally, because, apparently, her entering this country was illegal... but no one knew that, so it was alright. She felt like that would be a good thing to start off getting, because while she had her own goals and how she'd achieve them, Adalia didn't want to become a criminal. Well, not yet, anyways.
So, the first thing that should be done is to gain this passport; if only it were that easy. She was in one of the designated areas, the one closer to her at the time, Hargeon Town. It would seem that wherever she was had quite a large population, because the large line she was in was barely moving. The various smells of the people, the voices in the air and all these different shapes and appearances were bothering Adalia. To make manners even worse, Hargeon Town didn't particularly look to be in a great state; much building was taking place, so you had all of these people working on the streets and various buildings.
She had no desire to stay much longer, and, fortunately enough for her, Adalia's desires were coming true, kind of; the line she wasn't slow, and it was speeding up quite a bit. It took her almost no time at all to reach the front of the line, and she breathed a sigh of relief. It was just one more person, and... "Next." was called out, and she went up. The man behind the counter looked at Adalia oddly, in which, she simply gave a false, bright smile in return, though, he wouldn't know what a real smile of hers would look like. He smiled back, seemingly ignoring any suspicions he might've had about the young girl. "Alright, sweety, you sit on that chair over there as we take your picture. We'll give you the forum to take to your parents or guardian to fill out and then submit it back to us, alright?" Adalia nodded, not saying anything, and in a few moments, her picture was taken.
She was handed a forum to fill out, to which Adalia slipped into the crowd briefly to fill it out herself; she had no parents as far as she was concerned, and the ones that were biologically her parents she had condemned many years ago. When she was finished, she returned to the man on the counter and gave him the forum. He took the forum and the picture and cast some sort of spell, causing them both to float, flash in a light for a moment, and from it came a small book-like figure. "Here is your passport, sweety." Adalia took it gladly, with another fake smile on her face, to show some sort of... appreciation. She went out of the building and onto the streets.
The first step has been successful.
