Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Sabertooth 18th May 2017, 8:43 pm

Upon the Sabertooth guild, their allies and Nicklaus Flamel all entered the portal that was underneath the ace of spades. Upon entering their world Flamel would explain that there are a total of five Elders located through this massive shadow realm.  The god of war Mars Ultor, Father of time Chronos, Creator of life and fire Prometheus, Lord of earth Geb and Ruler of the underworld, Hel. Thanks to the Information provided by Flamel, the Earthland mages knew that the four huge energies that could be felt in the distance belonged to four out of the five with Hel being the only one unknown. How he knew was another matter entirely but the only way they could proceed was to split up their forces and take the fight to the four elders that were physically present in the world, the only downside is that Flamel had no clue which Elder was located specifically so they wouldn’t know what they were facing until they entered the battlefield.  Team Kite consisting of Roy, Luna and Zar would be heading East to combat the God of War Mars Ultor. Team Ryo Consisting of Mashyuu and Kenna would head south to deal with the Prometheus and his primal flames. Team Cirven consisting of Kiersa Bec, Imai and Kanrya would be on their way west to face Geb and his dominance of earth. Team Ardere consisting of Itori and Rai Chu would be heading up north to face the lord of time Chronos. Flamel would stay behind for he was merely a spectator for now.

Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Despair was a luxury that he could not afford to show at that moment. Sabertooth was gone,
and while no one was physically hurt which was all that really mattered,
he couldn't help but feel the hurt of losing the only real home that he had known but that wasn't all that was bothering him. The lingering thoughts of being a failure crept up on him since it happened. As far as he knew, this was the only time that the fortress had ever fallen and it happened on his watch as a Guild Master so it was a natural feeling ”What a day..“ he said to himself as he and his team headed off towards one of the power signature that belonged to one of these supposed Elders, The god of War Mars Ultor. He was one of the five in fact that were responsible for all of the destruction of his home, the home of all of his guild members and as far as Kite was concerned this God of war was going to experience the other emotions that drove Kite towards this fight anger and rage. He quickly looked back at those who he chose to go with him. The shadow magic user and ace Zar Valarblood adorned in his black armor, the Smoke magic user Roy The Chanter and Luna Jaeger the Sky God Slayer who recently joined the guild not that long ago. He would be willing to bet that upon joining this would be on the list of things to do. While he had no problem with his team by no means did he like the idea of his guild splitting up, especially after the tragedy that had just taken place and idealy he would like the guild to stay together but he knew that in order to stop the elders as well as get justice for this they would have to be divided. He put Ryo in charge of Mashyuu, Kenna and Celeste the newest member as they attempt to take out Prometheus the fire user, Ard in charge of Itori, Rai Chu and his own ace Wolfe with Master of time Chronos as their targets and Cirven was in charge of Kiersa, Imai and Kanrya who look to over take Geb lord of all earth. Knowing that his members were in capable hands allowed him to worry less and to focus more on this fight and if Flamel's information was correct this was a god of war and he wasn't exactly sure what this war god would have in store for them but it wouldn't be hard to guess.

Kite would continue to talk silent going up a hill and would only stop walking as soon as the location of Mars was revealed and sure enough it was. Up on the top of he hill they could see that lying before the team of sabertooth members was a shore line that raised up to a cliff and it was on this cliff that the Fortress of Mars was perched. It's eastern wall was near the cliff over looking the sea making it the safest point in the fortress at the moment. Without a navy assaulting it wouldn't be possible to launch an attack from that location. The rest of the fortress was surrounded by high walls that wrapped around the entire city inside. ”Well that doesn't look like it's going to be easy." he said to his team not referring to breaking the walls down but being that is their only option and assuming Mars is prepared for an attack from either wall it would be proven difficult to win like that. Also without knowing the extent of his forces becoming outnumbered wouldn't be hard.”We have to think of a way to attack where we don't get killed. We need to scout ahead. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can do this?“

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Roy the Chanter 24th May 2017, 8:04 pm

As Roy traveled with his group towards their destination he looked around at his companions. Zar Valorblood his friend, Luna a new member of their guild whom Roy barely knew, and Kite their guild's leader. He had seen Zar and Luna in action and he knew they could hold their own against normal opponents, while he had yet to see Kite in a fight he knew that he was a flame demon slayer and as the leader of this guild he was sure that he had more than enough power to spare. But how would they fare against a creature that some people compared to gods? There was no way to know until they actually fought him. But he doubted that there chances were good.

They made their way to the base where this Mars Ultor stayed and as it came into sight Kite commented on how difficult it would be to assault this fortress directly. Roy gave it a look and took stock of the situation. There opponent possessed vast amounts of power and influence, probably possessed a veritable army, and was sealed away inside of a fortress that he was sure would be magically enhanced.

His foot tapped as he looked over the castle, he was going through nicotine withdrawals, but he wouldn't risk lighting his pipe. The smoke could give away their position and if he had to sneak around personally then he didn't want to reek of smoke. Right now he was as mad as he had ever been, he wanted nothing more than to storm in their and tear his enemies to shreds with his bare hands but he knew that wouldn't work out well. He would have to do what he did best, and put a knife into the back of his enemies. One at a time, as slowly as he must go. That wouldn't work on Mars he was certain so he would have plenty of time for an all out fight. But it was important that they disabled everyone else before that fight.

He turned towards Kite to speak to him before acting. "I'll scout the area, infiltration and espionage is my specialty."

Roy extended his hands outwards as he concentrated on working his magic, four clouds of smoke shimmered in to existence around him, and took the form of himself. Alike to the very last detail, but they were only able to be seen for a moment before they disappeared from view altogether as Roy used his magic to camouflage them, he sent them out towards the castle, they were all as silent and nimble as himself and he doubted that they would be seen or encounter trouble infiltrating the fortress. Roy closed his eyes concentrating on what his clones saw and relaying that to his companions.

"There are archers, about a dzoen per wall, and five ballista on the walls as well. As my clones go deeper into the castle I see...spearmen, not sure how many but it's a good guess that there is quite a few. I can produce a distraction if you wish guildmaster, and have my clones attack from one side of the wall while we infiltrate the other. I can keep us hidden until we find Mars, well maybe. I can't make us silent so it really depends on our performance. But I'm not sure we have enough power to fight the army and it's leader all at once, so I vote we distract the armies and go after this so called god while they are busy."

Post by Luna Jaeger 26th May 2017, 8:46 am

From the onset of the excursion, Luna senses that her two companions were not exactly in the best mental state - what with Kite's feeling of inferiority to past Sabertooth Guildmasters, and Roy's absolute dread at facing whatever encounters lay ahead of the four of them. It was quite obvious to Luna why she had been brought on this outing rather than one of the others - God Slayers were well known for abilities to kill gods and so that would certainly be useful when coming against Mars Ultor. She was also a ray of sunshine in the melancholy, placing her hand on Kite's left shoulder with a wide-brimmed smile as the group carried forth.

"Don't be looking so down Kite! You've done a wonderful job as Guild Master insofar from where I'm looking and thats a compliment considering I've seen more than my fair share of Guild Masters. We'll get through this, you'll see."

She said in a cheerful tune, her words rolling off her tongue in an italian accent. Luna didn't have much time to approach Roy, as he used his own individual talents to scout ahead, and with her own sixth sense, she had already started scouting the immediate ramparts as Roy returned. He was correct in his report, from what Luna herself could tell, though she added something in the end of her own - a personal observation.

"Roy is correct in his report, with one difference. Only the keep has wards on it, the ramparts and crenelations are free of wards and magical enchants. I should be able to cause a diversion if we want to slip past the standard rank and file. Well, how do you want to proceed boss?"

Post by Zar Valarblood 27th May 2017, 3:19 pm

Zar remained silent for most of the initial scouting of the castle, taking in the site of the imposing obstacle that loomed before them and the dangers within. This was no mere rogue mage or rival guild they were dealing with, but a God of warfare and stratagem on a level unmatched by those of mortal minds. If they were to succeed, their plans would have to forego practical approaches and embrace situational tactics as well as improvisation, which Zar felt relatively confident in his abilities to do so. With Roy's scouting already underway, his ability to scout and remain hidden were unnecessary in that regards. What he was able to do, was allow them behind the enemy and continuously harass their positions while remaining undetected. He brought his thoughts to Kite's ear as we awaited more intel from Roy's scouting to pour in.

"If we're going along with the diversions proposed by our other comrades, then I offer my abilities to slip us back and forth from one position to another as a harassment technique to keep his forces occupied. It will take up a considerable amount of energy on my part and whoever assists, but it will be well worth it in the end."

Post by Kite Wilhelm 3rd June 2017, 6:03 pm

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

The journey to the base where Mars was hiding his own army was more or less silent and in that silence is where Kite found a majority of his doubts however Luna in her distinctive accent spoke to the Demon Slayer and gave him some positive words of encouragements which he felt was rather uplifting and so he gave the raven haired woman a kind smile, ”Thanks for that.“ He said to her and then faced forward as he focused on his walking and the battle ahead, ”I won’t let those feelings drag me down.“ Luckily for the group Mars’ fortress wasn’t that far of a hike and upon discovering it’s location they were up a hill and had enough distance between them and the fortress that the archers to spot them. While this was to their advantage due to the element of surprise there was no way they could attack and upon asking a question about how they could get close enough to scout their primary defenses. It didn’t take long for Roy to speak up mentioning that espionage is his bread and butter. He watched as Roy stretched out his hands and released four clouds of smoke that took molded until they were perfect replica and went off in the direction of the fortress. None of them could see the clones but Roy could see everything they saw and told them in detail was there at the walls of the base. According to Roy there were about a dozen archers per wall with large siege style ballista five per wall. Kite heard the rest of the information regarding the spearman as well as the other forces present just on the other side of the wall. Roy proposed he could have them attack and produce a distraction for them to infiltrate. Luna added that the keep has wards on it while the rest of the base is completely free of any and all magical enchantments and Zar saying he could use his magic to make them slip back and forth between positions to create confusion among the ranks of Mars’ army.

Kite had the tip of his thumb in his mouth as he processed the information that was given to him and looked back at the wall where he could make out the archers moving back and forth in their designated routes. ”Unfortunately even if your clones were sent to the opposite sides of the fortress it wouldn’t be enough.“ he said nodding at the wall with his head, ”I’m not sure of the power of his infantry but there are only four of you clones. Once they go on the offensive they will not only overwhelm the troops there are enough archers to rain down arrows inside the fortress while the others are on alert for possible intruders.“ he would look now at Roy specifically. ”That doesn’t account for the skill of the archers as well as their firepower on the wall.” he would smirk ”However thanks to Luna’s own insight we know that only the Keep where we can only assume Mars is the only located that is protected by magic meaning the walls have no real defense outside their structural integrity which we could exploit.“ He would look at Luna and then at Zar as an idea popped into his head on how they could proceed. ”Roy, Luna. Between your magics could create a dense fog? If you can cover our approach we could use Zar’s magic to slip us closer without running the risk being shot full of arrows.“ he had to put into account several things such as which wall they would attack. Also there was the prospect of the side of the fortress that was facing the sea. ”Zar do you think you could destabilize the cliff side that overlooks the sea? If we drop that entire section into the ocean from under them we take out their forces on that side.“ He was on fire now, ”Mean while Roy once the wall falls into the sea on the eastern side you cause havoc with your clones on the western wall. That should thin out their forces on the north and south walls. Roy and Luna attack the South wall and I’ll go around to the north wall and once the panic starts we blow through their walls and infiltrate.“ Kite’s eyes grew sharp as he looked over to the left of the group and he casually walked over to the formation of rocks that were planted there and continued to talk to his guild, ”and if we do that then we can try to shave their forces while they are dealing with the chaos and figure what sort of ward is on the... “ he let his words die as he reached over the rocks and grabbed a man in armor by his neck and pulled him out of his cover and slammed him to the ground in front of him.Kite lifted his hand and slammed a hammer fist into the helmet covered head of the scout crushing the side of the helmet that was struck by Kite’s fist rendering the scout unconscious. ”and apparently there are scouts lurking about. We need to deal with them too it seems. We could even see patrols out and about so be careful.“ He would look at his team, ”From here on out mission is a go. If you have anything to say before we get this started?“

    ”“

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Roy the Chanter 6th June 2017, 3:32 am

Roy nodded his head as the guild master asked him if he could create fog, he wasn't sure about Luna but he definitely had that ability. He wasn't sure that his power alone would be sufficient to conceal them the entire way but if she wasn't able to create fog then he could put his glamour on his allies and help them to stay hidden that way.

"Aye Guild Master, I can create fog, and if that isn't enough for our needs I can put my glamour over over us and we can remain hidden that way, though as I said you can still be heard so be careful. At your word Guild Master I will spill their blood and my own. I have only one request, allow me to search for the god of War with you. My clones will be more than sufficient for any of his subordinates. I understand that this may interfere with your strategy, but if I don't get the opportunity to land at least one strike I don't know if I could ever live with myself."

It wasn't that Roy didn't trust Kite to handle this, in fact he was sure that he could. But every moment he grew more and more pissed off, his anger was starting to consume him and he didn't think he would be able to rest unless he managed to deal some kind of damage to the person responsible for this. No...he wouldn't settle for his minions, he must have the blood of their leader. The one responsible for the pain and suffering that his beloved guild has suffered.

But should his Guild Master deny his request he would swallow this anger. He had sworn his loyalty to obey the master of Sabertooth and even if this kept him up every night for the rest of his life then he would still do it. Still he wasn't sure if he could live with himself without giving his absolute all to hurt the man that had hurt his guild.

While Roy talked he moved his clones to the position that Kite had desired, and he had them summon their own smoke hands, he would not summon his yet, he was already starting to feel the mental strain of keeping up so many magics at once. It was not yet however visible, soon enough though he would begin to perspire and breath heavier. But for the moment he was in perfect control. He would have to maintain these spells for a long time it seemed, and he if he failed he might endanger his allies. For them he would be as strong as he needed. Whatever he needed to do however he would do it, as soon as the guild master gave the word he would act.

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Luna Jaeger 6th June 2017, 6:40 am

As the other comrade Zar spoke on his own capabilities, Luna would drink in the words and add them to memory so that she wouldn't forget later. She could memorize each and every word he had said and never forget - a useful trait for her lifestyle. From what was discerned Zar used a form of darkness within his magic, a useful asset to be sure, but Luna also used a form of darkness - yet less profound. Luna was sure that there was a reason why Kite had formed this team and she had began to see exactly why with how they all worked well in some form.

”Thanks for that.“ Luna heard Kite, a bright smile forming on her lips, "No problem, Kite. I'm here to help, whether in the capacity as a wizard or in the capacity as a friend.", responding in her usual accent before hearing Kite say he wouldn't allow himself to be dragged down by dark feelings. He then prepared and launched his plan in an elaborate speech to the others, Luna taking mental notes on this and the other. She had noticed an unease in the way Roy looked through part of the strategy session. Finally, as the strategy was wrapped up, Roy had something to say. Hearing him out, Luna responded in kind before Kite had a chance, hoping to deal with this now. "Don't worry about it Roy, I'm sure the boss doesn't plan to leave his God Slayer out of a fight with a God. You'll most likely get to do what you want, if we are together."

With that concluded, Luna began to weave the most basic of her magical abilities, coinciding with a thirty-meter area of air with her darkness attribute which would adhere to the smoke that had been created by Roy to create the dense dark-spot with which could be used to cover their approach as sought by Kite. By spending extra mana into the casting of the spell, it had even been attached to the same location as Roy's fog so should the fog move her spell would move. With this task finished, she only had to deal with the southern wall now and prepared the card up her sleeve.

After the full assessment of the plan was given to Zar, he was glad that Kite had recommended an alternative approach. His first bet would have been to go the direct route, but he had imagined it would have been better to divert the armies attention with himself rather than charge headlong into battle. Bringing down the cliffside upon the enemies ranks would be child's play with his abilities and get them closer without being disturbed. Kite had picked his team well with all the utilities powers everyone possessed at a moment's notice and their raw damage behind it. There were plenty of others to choose from within the guild, but his decision was law now as Guild Master and he was proud to be among them.

"Well, now that we have all our thoughts in order, what's say we get this show on the road, Guild Master? This is your operation after all, so it's only fair that you direct us to our duties. If it ends today, I'll rest well knowing it was while fighting under your command sir." He spoke to Kite with all the affordances due to a Guild Master who'd been thrust into this position by sheer circumstance alone. For the few months that he'd known him, he has never failed to impress him with quick thinking and the ferocity of the fire he wielded within his palm. This would be his defining moment as the leader of Sabertooth; defending the honor of the guild, and avenging our fallen home that was ripped from the sky along with us.

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite was in good company with his team, each one was ready to do what they had to in order to avenge the fall of Sabertooth’s guild hall and they supported one another Luna with here kind words, Roy with his clear need for vengeance even going as far to asking for a chance to be part of the battle against Mars Ultor. He would smile at this request ”I can’t promise you will or won’t, but in the end we will avenge our Guild by the end of this.“ It wasn’t exactly a yes but at the same time he wasn’t telling him no either. ”but to get to Mars we need to get in. Focus on that and we will go from there.“ The mission was a go and now just like any other time the guild would turn to him for their directions just as Zar had pointed out and it was all given out. Zar attacking the cliffs, Luna and Roy attacking the south wall while Roy’s clones cause havoc at the west wall and Kite with the north for himself. Kite watched as Roy began breath heavily and strained in concentration but it was starting to work and the entire area began to grow harder to see and soon enough the entire area surrounding the fortress became cloaked in fog. ”alright everyone watch your backs, watch for scouts and let’s all comeback alive. Those are the only orders I have to give.“ he looked at each of them and then nodded before lowering his stance and headed around the perimeter of the fortress near the edge of the fog. He could have gone straight into the heart of the fog but he knew better, he was aware that in order to get to the north side of the wall he would actually know how to get there and with the fortress insight he was able to gauge his own distance and location from it. ”Yeah I can see it clearly from here. Just gotta go around and then dive in.“ he was referring to the dense sea of smoke that Roy was making.

He hoped that Roy could set aside his anger and focus on the task at hand considering that the success of this attack hung in the balance with his ability to maintain a smoke screen as well as control his clones to attack the western wall. He wasn’t worried about the others either, they were all rather clear headed on the situation. He kept these thoughts to himself and managed his breathing as he ran towards the fortress but suddenly stopped when he heard the sound of voices nearby in the general area. ”more scouts?“ he whispered to himself as he slowed his run down to a slow walk and then he dropped down onto his stomach and army crawled his way to what looked like a large rock but the closer he got he noticed it was a carriage of sorts. He found a convoy of some sort that must have been stopped due to the smoke screen and so Kite did the smart thing and started to listened closely so he could hear what was being said among those in charge of the caravan. “ I don’t know what is up with this fog but we can’t go anywhere so long as we can’t see.” That is when another one responded, “We have a flare. We can shoot it up and get some from the fortress to lend us aid. Kite heard this and smirked seeing an interesting opportunity arise right before him. Kite continued to crawl closer to the carriage until he was right next to it. He slowly slid his body up the side and shimmied his way towards the back where the men were located trying to find their flares in the back with the rest of their equipment. Kite peered around the corner to see one of the men leaning into the back of the open doors of the caravan while the other peered out into the distance facing the other direction. Kite read the situation and played how this could go down, if he used any magic here he would be found out and that could be bad. No matter how well the fog is made the arrows would rain down and most likely skewer him and if he hid the bastilla would pierce the hiding spots, if he attacked the man in the caravan first the other man could possibly shout for help, but he knew better and had a much more fun idea. Kite pushed the door of the caravan hard forcing the man bent over to go fully into the caravan. Kite lunged at the man facing away and wrapped his arm tightly around his neck catching him in a rear naked choke hold and pulled back towards the doors of the carriage and pressed his weight against it while using his core and legs to force the man in a seated position in front of and squeezed his bicep and his forearm to cut off the carotid arteries and within ten seconds the man was out cold and as the man in the back pounded on the door but ten more seconds passed and the man who was in the chokehold would never wake up again. Putting distance between himself and the door he waited for it to swing open and once it did the man inside would receive an unexpected surprise. The door flew open and Kite reached back with his left hand and drew his broadsword and with a fluid motion the blade extended and the edge of the blade was arching upward at the caravan crewman who was in the air jumping out of the door. The blade bit into the man cutting a deep gash into through his torso leaving him a lump on the ground. ”That’s the first of many.“  he would say to himself as he looked over at the new carriage he found in his possession. He smirked ”Let’s see what sort of chaos I can cause with this.“ he took a look inside the back of the caravan and saw the food and supplies they had gotten procured. Kite went over to the body and picked up a helmet and put it on his head and went to the front of the carriage and started to pull it towards the fortress going in the direction they had started to go in. He had a new plan, he was going to infiltrate the base through the front door.

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Roy the Chanter 16th June 2017, 5:00 pm

By the time Kite finished speaking Roy's clones had already moved to the locations they needed to go, with his fog setting in he could afford to loosen the grip that his enchantment held over his clones and his smoke hands. Normally they would blend in with whatever background the were apart of becoming effectively invisible. However the less he concentrated on it the more opaque it become. Right now it would normally have appeared as if a faint shimmer in the air, but with this dense fog it was as good as it could possibly manage to be.

Roy did not pay attention to Luna or to Zar. At this point nothing they said mattered to him, only the faintest glimpse of his sanity remained, and he was using all of it to dedicate himself to one thing. His loyalty to Sabertooth. So the guildmaster's words rang through his ears. Fine then, he thought to himself. If those are my orders then I shall fullfill them to the best of my ability. Roy knew that he could see through his own fog, Luna probably had something that allowed her to do so as well but he wasn't sure. And he was sure that Zar would figure something out. But right before they all went their seperate ways Roy looked towards Luna and gave her one warning, a warning that she would be wise to heed. "Luna, I have a plan. You would do wise to not enter the keep until after I go in. Trust me you'll know when I do. If you decide to ignore this i'm not in the state of mind enough to care. And you will get hurt."

But with that Kite was off and he was left with to the task appointed to him. As soon as possibly he flew away on his cloud through the fog to the south side of the wall where he was assigned. His clone's already positioned where they needed to go on the west side. He would hold nothing back here. Perhaps this would be the first day that he took a life, he hoped not. He couldn't imagine that he would be the same after such a thing but he supposed that he would do what needs to be done. For the good of Sabertooth, even if it costs him his character, his life, or his limbs.

Racing off on his cloud he looked below him. As soon as he was in position he would strike. As Roy reached his destination only moments after racing off towards it. He began filling the area below him with methane gas. While they had been talking Roy took notice of the keeps cannons, and he sent his clones to search for their armory. Where likely they would keep an ample supply of gun powder.

Roy pulled out a cigarette from the first pack that he had ever bought. Lit it with a small flame that he generated. He inhaled a few times, the nicotine was high, that was nice, he felt a buzz go throughout his body. But it was course and smelled foul compared to his sweet pipe tobacco. He would stick with pipes, but for the time being this would serve him better. He dropped the lit cigarette down onto the castle.

It ignited the gas that Roy had been building up since he got here, as well as four or five barrels of gunpowder. The explosion on the south wall was massive. Flames erupted everywhere, the ground shook and the men nearest to it that survived dove for cover and tried to cover their ears. Blood splattered everywhere and body parts rained down on the ground. He had picked his spot well it seemed. There was no way to know how many people were affected, killed or wounded. But the number of people crying for help were surprisingly few. Must have been more effective than he imagined.

Roy knew the people would be coming to check out the area and perhaps save their wounded comrades so he set himself down near the rubble and the bodies. While his smoke hands snaked their way up the wall grabbing the arhcers by their legs and pulling them down. If the fall didn't kill them then his hands would continue to beat them or stab them with their own weapons until they died.

Roy noticed a pair of blades lying on the ground and picked them up. His family had trained him to kill, his refusal to do so was what made him leave home. He smirked. Guess he had become like his father after all. When the nearest surviving troops managed to make their over to Roy he shouted at the top of his lungs and dove in to battle. Hacking and slashing stabbing and dodging and whirling to cut every exposed piece of flesh, put a hole through every weak spot in the armor he saw. He was here to claim their lives now, loosing all control Roy fell into a homicidal rampage and held nothing back. He had forgotten how good of a swordsman he actually was, but now his old skill came back to him, and for the first time he was able to fight at his absolute best.

For the west wall his clones did much the same thing, only they had gathered every remaining barrel of gunpowder that they could find, a total of fifteen in all. Roy's clones had already conjured their smoke hands used these to light every barrel at once at a point of their choosing. The hands could only be destroyed with magic so they would be fine. However the men they were fighting not at all. This explosion without a doubt killed even more men, maimed even more, and shook the castle itself. Soon after Roy's clones fell into Roy's own madness and they all picked up what swords or blades they could find in the castle and began fighting as fiercely as Roy, turning their enemies into mincemeat for the time being. Only this force was far more terrible than Roy, with a total of 40 ethereal hands taking up arms against them, and four fighters just as skilled as Roy.

The last thing Roy remembered hearing before he blacked out to his anger completely was a man shouting to anyone that could hear him. "Where is MARS!? Tell me where he is! His life belongs to ME!" Over and over gain until he lost himself to his rage.

They all went their own separate ways after the end of their pow-wow, continuing under the guise of fog to accomplish whatever purpose had been meted out to them by Kite himself. Lun was only happy to fulfill the wishes of the guild master in this endeavor, though she could already see some problems cropping up when it came to the team - primarily from Roy himself. Roy had ignored her words, which of itself wasn't a good sign, but he seemed hell-bent on doing a mission they had been told to cooperate on, by himself. Roy might just end up getting himself killed if he continued on with his intentions as Luna understood them. He had told her to stay back and miss a fight if she wanted to live. Well, Luna wasn't the sort to miss out a fight, but in this one situation, she would let him forward. As Roy left, however, she touched him and instilled him with healing regeneration (4% HP Regen per Turn). What he did from here was his own.

After the massive explosion caused by Roy, Luna took the opportunity to bypass most of the soldier via teleportation - appearing within the gaping hole created by the explosives, and releasing another spell of hers to capture some of the soldiers and one of the scouting parties who had come to reinforce after the explosive's tumultous explosion. Luna gave one simple order to her troops captured via Thorn Bind Hostage, to protect Roy as he flew into a rage and blacked out. Luna now stepped through the hole in the southern end of the keep and pushed forwards towards Mars Ultor. There was a small guard of twelve soldiers - four o them with crossbows - between her and the giant set of double-doors which surely lead to the war god himself. Well, Luna didn't mind some clean-up, she thought as she shot forwards and brought her elbow into the sternum of the first soldier and knocked him aside to the left. She pushed on, knocking down one of the crossbowmen and then whirled around to kick two more crossbowmen into the right-hand wall, as the other soldiers returned to form and tried to surround Luna.

Luna allowed the soldiers to surround her, before releasing her wind into a fifteen meter area burst which served to knock over the rest of the soldiers. They didn't get up, which was good for her, but Luna had wasted some time on them and wasn't about to waste more time and mana. Pushing on, Luna pushed the door open to reveal the final chamber where her quarry lied...

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Zar Valarblood 22nd June 2017, 5:35 pm

Once the briefing was over, Zar slipped off into the shadows and made his way to the cliffside. The patrols were heavy in this region of the castle, but they wouldn't be a problem being as they couldn't see him. Most mages worth their weight in jewels could sense the disturbances he made while walking through the shadows, but if there were any among these soldiers, they were oblivious to him. The wind howled near the edge of the cliff accompanied by the waves crashing against the cliffside below. It was an old and well-developed structure but through careful observation, he noticed a moderately sized crack that ran up the underside of it. Zar melded himself in the shadows, sliding across the side of the cliff till he was where he needed to be. In order to get maximum fracturing, he would need to place his shadow bombs all throughout the crack. It was about two times the size of himself so he would be able to effectively place 6 within it and bring the cliffside down before anyone knew what was happening.

The shadows around Zar and the crack began forming into pulsating blobs of shadow on the fracture. It only took seconds before it was finished and gave Zar plenty of time to reposition himself for the show to begin. He sat within the shadow of one of the towers overlooking the cliff, and multiple explosions followed shortly after. The sound waves echoed across the fortress, and just as they subsided the ground began shaking violently. The fracture steadily spread upward from the cliff and onto the ground beneath the soldier's feet. The panicked infantrymen scrambled for steadier ground, but many were too late to find shelter as the cliff began to separate from the rest of the fortress. Building and man tumbled together down into the crashing waves below. These forces would no longer be a looming threat for Kite and the others as the battle pressed further into to fortress. All that was left now was to rejoin them.

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite’s newly revised plan kept evolving as each second passed. Kite placed the helmet onto his head and instantly felt uncomfortable with the way it fit or the lack of fit. Where the helmet sat on his head was fine however where the helmet came down to his cheeks to frame his eyes pressed into his face. He didn't bother strapping it under his chin, he wasn't interested in the protection it could offer the helmet was nothing more than to be used as a disguise to get him into the gates. Kite looked at his clothes next and then looked over at uniform the drivers of the convoy were wearing. ”If this is going to work I’ gonna havta look the part.“ He walked over out the man he choked out and pulled his top over his limp arms and held it out in front of him. ”damn. This is not quite my size.“ he grumbled and looked over at the second driver who had a gaping stab wound in his mid section with the entire uniform stained with blood, ”great. And that one would have fit me too. “ he crouched down and looked at it more closely and shook his head forcing the idea that had popped up in his head to the back of his mind and forgot about it. While it would fit there was no way he would get away with wearing in it’s current state, the guards especially the archers would spot the blood and create an undesirable situation where he would have to explain the blood. ”The less talking the better. If i speak too much I could let something slip and my big plan is out the window. how to proceed.  “ he would sift through the cargo looking for anything he could wear that could help him pass as someone from within their organization.

Luck would be on his side as he found a rain cloak laying in the back and it had a good attached to it. Throwing it over his shoulders he wrapped the cloak around him and pulled up the hood and started to climb up into the driver's seat but before taking his newly acquired seat he walked over to the bodies of the men and placed a hand on both of them and lit them ablaze cremating them just in case a scout manages to find the remains before his grand entrance. with that done he hoped in his seat and drove the convoy up to the large fortress gates. The guards on top shouted down asking what his business was and Kite shouted, ”Convoy. Returning with supplies.“ he said plainly not looking up. “Thought there were two of you, where's your partner?” Kite hadn't thought about that so now he was on a timer figuring what he could use as an excuse, ”He is in the back. He complained about stomach pain and went to sleep.“ There was a long pause before the guard shouted back, “alright bring him in we will get the medics.” ”Perfect. I'll check on him while you open the gate.“ he stepped down and opened the back taking his weapons that he stored there and placed them on his back. He then pulled out a pack of three explosive lacrima keeping one in his pocket and set the rest  in the carriage with the explosive charge on the bottom of the carriage. The gate opened and Kite gave it a push and once it was just at the threshold Kite lobbed in his into the back causing it to crack and explode with the other two as well with the charge at the bottom the entire wall to crack and crumble from the force. The force of the blast sent most of the meant flying off the wall while collapsing the sections with Bastilla on it. One of the archers landed in front of Kite hurt but still able to stand. ”Nasty fall. Must be pretty tough.“ he landed an open palm strike on the archer knocking him to the ground. Kite’s hand would latch onto the face of the archer as would drag him through the broken walls opening. He would hold him up by his face. On cue the rest of his team were successful in their objectives with the east and west walls falling and the south wall collapsing into the sea.  ”Mars you have made grave mistake on this day. Now Sabertooth will have our vengeance. Kite’s hands headed up, and a purple tinted black flame would engulf the hostage he brought with him, ”Netherflame away.“ the man cloaked in the black flames of death and faded away.

In his keep Mars sat at a large table with the lay out of his base spread across it. He taped his finger and despite having been invaded a smile was on his face. He could see it all happening and heard everyone's words, “they want to play with the god of War so be it. Let's reward them for coming this far.”..

For Luna and Roy Mars unleashes his “Air Force”. Military with 10 gliders and 10vimana. They drop bombs and have standard fire power and are not above kamikaze if things go south. For Zar Mars sends his Berserker squad consisting of soldiers with huge war hammers  that transform into werebeasts such as bears strength, wolves that are agile and boars with heavy defensive capabilities 10 of any kind.total.

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Roy the Chanter 8th July 2017, 11:15 pm

Roy's last opponent had fallen before him. His blades were stained with blood as was his person. He breathed deeply, and began to feel aware once more. He had blacked out it seemed from his anger. He had let it take control of him and he had slaughtered all of these men like animals. Who knew why they were here, maybe they were slaves, maybe they were desperate to eat, maybe they had no idea what Mars had done to them, maybe they opposed it but were to afraid to leave him.

Who knew, and now that he had killed them all, they would never know. Roy looked up into the sky and saw a swarm of flying opponents approaching. He quickly used his glamour to turn invisible and made his clones invisible as well. He had used so much magic already, and he was panting so heavily. He almost felt as if he couldn't walk. But he would have to. He had taken many lives needlessly today. He would not forgive himself if he did not take the life of the one person here who had to die.

Roy and his clones filed in to the castle, Roy noticed that he was bleeding from several wounds, he wasn't sure when he had taken them but they were slowly healing. He thought that this must have been Luna's work. It was good that she had stayed behind for the explosion, Roy wasn't sure that she would but he wouldn't have stopped it if she hadn't. That thought scared him.

Walking down the hallway dripping in his own blood and that of all the others he let his illusion disappear from himself, and created another one outside. This one would distract the flying enemies if they managed to even see through that fog. If they did then his clone would simply run away from the castle, dodging attacks and appearing to injured to attack back. They wouldn't be able to fit through the door he imagined.

Limping through the hallway he noticed that Luna had already entered in. The blood from his exposed swords dripped loudly to the ground and his hoarse breathing could be heard from a long ways away too. He wasn't sure she would honestly recognize him like this so he spoke.

"Thanks for the spell Luna. Probably saved my ass, some of these cuts are deep. Don't think anyone's left out there, they're all..." Roy couldn't finish that sentence, he just let it be. "There's just some men in planes or something now...I don't think they can follow us in here. "

XIt seemed that Mars Ultor had launched his aerial forces, though Luna was already within the keep and thus was useless against her. It seemed Roy had come to his senses and had come to within the keep as well, meaning it wasn't effective againt them. Aerial soldiers, left to range down-field, could still attack Zar or Kite and Luna simply could not allow that. She began to gather a morose black energy within one hand, forming a mote that began to gather from the air itself into an orb. The orb was released, coming to the center of the aerial formatio and releasing into the vortex spell 'Wail of the Banshee', unfolding out into a black sphere which drew all within it's epicenter to literally tear them apart.

"Well hello, Roy. I'm glad that you've come to your senses, though I must correct you, I used three spells in particular that drained my magic power to protect you. I've already taken care of the Air Force, now all that's left is to open these doors and fight Ultor himself." Luna smiled, speaking in her usual accent as she moved her hands in a revealing manner to the double doors in front of her.

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite’s hand remained in the air, his fingers positioned as if he were holding an invisible ball. However it wasn’t a ball that he was holding, moments ago he was holding an archer by his face that had fallen from the wall he had just destroyed. Kite walked through the middle of the open yard of the fortress where legions of soldiers scurried about trying to make sense of the chaos that he and his guild members had just caused for the god of war Ultor. Kite’s eyes were directed to the skies when he heard the sound of swooshing and other strange noises. He couldn’t help but grin at the sudden situation change, ”Of course the god of war had an air force.“  he was a little miffed that he didn’t suspect that Mars would have such an armada at his beck and call. His attention was suddenly force from the sky back down to ground level by the sound of loud ironclad footsteps and standing before him were men in bronze and leather armor with shields larger than their bodies. “Don’t you worry about the virmana, they will bomb the hell out of your friends while we deal with you for our proud lord Mars Ultor!!” and shortly after the thirteen men with him did a shout “AROOO” Kite put his fits on his hips and smirked, ”Who are you guys? The welcoming committee? “ he let his fire light up and his red eyes shimmered blue, ”I am not sure what is more funny though, you saying you will be the one to deal with me for your soon to be fallen lord or your proclamation that those toys will be enough to take down my guild.“ he would use his chin to point up in the sky behind them and the loud mouth would be the one to turn around to see the black orb break out into a vortex that sucked everything tearing each glider and air craft to pieces effectively making the soldier eat his words. The blue flames surround him causing the heat in the area to increase, ”I guess that answers that but allow me to clear the air about the other thing you said.“ The flames intensified as did the glow in his from the flames. ”When I am finished with you lot you can say hi to Mars when I send you to burn in hell together.“ they all put up their shields setting up a phalanx formation akin to what spartans would do but it was too late for them. ”Flame Demon’s Inferno destroyer.“ he quickly gathered and then threw a sphere comprised of his flames which hit the row of shields exploding on contact. The soldiers were safe from the force of the explosion thanks to their combined defensive formation however their bronze shields were not safe, they all began to melt and were much more fragile now. Kite had used his attack to jump over the phalanx and was now behind their melting defenses, ”Flame Demon’s Eruption!“ from his body acting as the epicenter another large explosion flared out catching the soldiers from behind incinerating them in the process.

With that taken care of Kite would move on to his next objective, the keep of Mars himself and thanks to the attack on the air fleet by who he assumed to be Luna, he knew where about they were. It didn’t take long for Kite to come across the hall way that would lead to into the heart of Mars’ hideout. He had arrived just in time to over hear Luna’s words to Roy about once through these doors all that was left was for them to fight Mars. ”So you were planning on facing him already?“ he had his arms crossed over his chest looking at Luna and then at Roy who was not in the best of shape, blood stains over his clothes. ”Roy don’t over do it.This is pointless if we all don’t make it out of this in one piece.“ he was serious, he wanted to avenge his guild, their town but it wouldn’t be worth it if they all didn’t come back alive, ”We go after Mars together and we go home together.“ he looked at the doors and narrowed his eyes. ”The doors to Mars huh.“ he recalled the words of Flamel before departing on this campaign that Mars was a master strategist and tactician so there was no way he would leave his door unguarded and not have a plan for unwelcomed guests. ”Roy, can you use your smoke clones to seep through the cracks of the door?“ he asked and looked at the smoker mage, ”I have a feeling Mars prepared this door with a trap.“

If Roy’s clone managed to seep through the door or opened the door an explosion occur as a result of setting off a trap and on the other side of the trap was a set of steps that would lead into the war room of Mars Ultor and two generals who are around the war table where strategies are formed. The first general wields a large claymore that explodes on contact of an object or person. This general is  eight feet tall and massively bulky but moves like a smaller person so his speed will catch someone unsuspecting off guard. The second general was much smaller compared to her comrade. She was a short red haired woman with an ornate bow, she is able to make arrows of any and all variety from nothing and shoot as quick as a firearm. Lastly was Mars himself standing at a height of six foot eleven and solidly built. He has his own version of requip magic that allows him to call the full might of his arsenal that he has collected over the lifetime of battles. He has 500 hp.

Rise of Sabertooth: War Empty Re: Rise of Sabertooth: War

Post by Roy the Chanter 28th August 2017, 12:53 am

Roy walked past Luna as she spoke. He smirked as she described just how many spells she had placed on him to prevent his death. He responded to her. "Well, in that case you must be exhausted. Better leave Mars to me then." He was almost joking, but he actually very much wanted to fight Mars himself.

Then Roy saw Kite come up to them, that was good. They would probably need him for this. He asked Roy to slow down, but that wasn't really an option now. The hardest part had just begun. Kite asked Roy if he could use a smoke clone of his to seep through the door. That was actually an interesting question. He hadn't tried using a clone for something like that before. But they were made of smoke so...

Roy revealed one of his clones, and took the dweamor that hid him away from it. If he lost this clone he would be down to three, and left with only forty smoke hands. But that would be fine, if it meant safe entry into the throne room.

Roy's clone moved forward and pressed itself into the crack of the door, turning into smoke, and then on the other side shifting back in to Roy's shape. Guess there was a new application for that. He sent his smoke clone up ahead, up the stairs. His smoke hands seeping into the door in front of them and manipulating the tumblers so that the gate would open. Had he been just an ordinary thief he wouldn't have gotten through. The door was extraordinarily complex, and actually probably required a system of keys to open. However it wasn't magically held so that made him think that there might be a trap of some kind...

Just as Roy thought that an explosion resounded throughout the keep, much like the ones he had been causing. The vision that he was seeing from his clones eyes disappeared, and Roy screamed in pain, falling to his knees. There went about a fifth of his life, and quite a bit of magic. The ten hands his clone created going with it. Still though, that was a little less magic that he had to keep going for the moment, and that meant that he would be a better fighter when the time came to fight mars.

Roy's eyes grew dark as the moment finally came, his blood lust now almost overtook him. He said in a voice unlike his own. "I can't promise you that I'll come out of this in piece Kite. Or even alive. But whatever I do in there don't try and stop me. You'll just be making it more dangerous for yourself."

Roy kept his invisible clones eyes glued to Kite, and Luna. If they tried to stop him they would intervene. Roy would not be stopped, he would not be deterred. He would see Mars bleed tonight one way or another. He took his first steps into the room ahead of them. Heading up the stairs, to do whatever he needed to do.

"Well, in that case you must be exhausted. Better leave Mars to me then." Roy remarked playfully, yet with a hint of seriousness behind it. The enchanter may wish to fight Ultor on his own, however Luna wouldn't have any of it for even a sparing moment, responding to him in a measured tone of ire and seriousness. "Not going to happen, and no I don't need a rest, I just want you to know how much effort was put towards you. I don't allow my friends to die. I understand how you feel about Mars, but Kite and I have just about as much reason to want to send him to hell too, and don't forget that." she retorted, just before their guild-master joined them at the door leading within the antechamber. Luna had already prepared for this fight that was to happen, in more ways than one, and would be ready to join the fray as soon as the battle was joined.

”So you were planning on facing him already?“, Kite asked to which Luna retorted, "We were going to wait for you, well, I was at the very least - can't speak for Roy." Of course, Kite had a plan to infiltrate the entrance without having to deal with whatever form of traps would be found on it. Luna could have come up with such plans her own however it wasn't her place to do so as Kite was the leader of their team and of the guild. She listened to Roy telling kite that he couldn't guarantee that he would be alive or take it careful in the fight. Well, if Luna had anything to say about it none of their team would be hurt too harshly even if she had to take the damage herself. Finally, as they prepared to enter and face Mars, Luna reached down and tossed a pill into her mouth to replenish magic power and stamina previously exerted.

"Do as you wish, Roy. Just don't expect me to stand back and do nothing while you fight Mars Ultor alone. I've been preparing for this moment, and I will not allow it to slip past without taking part."

Finally, the three entered, it was time to fight Mars Ultor...

    Kite Wilhelm
Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite came across them both Luna and Roy speaking with one another. He over heard Roy suggesting that Luna must be tired and thus he would deal with Mars on his own. Luna responded by not only denying her exhausting but explained that while she understood Roy’s anger for wanting to take down Mars but wanted him to understand that Kite and herself had every reason to want to take Mars down. ”More than you think.“ would respond. He knew that every single member of the guild had reason to want to seek vengeance for what Mars and the rest of the Elders had done to them however not one of the others had to do what he did. In order to protect Ace of Spades from total destruction he had to use the magic he grew and nurtured in that guild hall and destroy it with it. The argument of which of them would be dealing with Mars was something that wasn’t a debate. Together they would deal with him or together they would fall however Kite himself wanted to take the head of Mars. Kite watched as Roy created another clone made out of his smoke and made its way through the door. He wasn’t sure what sort of trap might be waiting, it could be some sort of explosive or something to ensnare them upon entry. However the sound of an explosion resounded throughout the keep as the door clicked open however that wasn’t the only sound. Roy writhed in pain upon the clones destruction clearly showing that they were linked to each other even so they travelled up the stairs with Roy giving a warning on how it would be dangerous for him to try to stop him. Kite responded in kind, ”You are a mage of Sabertooth, I have no intention of stopping you. However.“ he stated looking at him with a glare, ”You gave a warning so I will give you one as both GuildMaster and Demon of Sabertooth. Make yourself a danger to this mission and yourself in the process I’ll show you just how dangerous I can be.“ Kite had no interest in fighting anyone from his guild but such recklessness would be met with equal and greater force. With that out of the way the three of them entered the chamber of Mars.

Mars looked as the three entered the room following the explosion from his trap and would simply smile at them however his smile was hidden behind bronze helmet with a narrow slit from the nose down and forming a “Y” at the top so he may be able to see. The helmet was designed with several spikes and on the top and on the top of the helmet was a feathered tube like you’d see on roman centurion helmets however his was certainly designed to suggest his rank. His torso was covered by a bronze colored armor with matching bronze shin guard and sported a red leather battle skirt akin to ancient greeks. His shield was enough to cover his body and his spear was all bronze. He stood from his war table standing at a whopping eight feet and some odd inches tall and was nothing but muscle. “I had a feeling that our attack on you wouldn’t go unanswered.” He would stab his spear into the floor and his glowing red eyes would glare at the three of them. “But to think only three of you would make it this far was something I had not planned for. I’m impressed but not only by that but by how you strategically infiltrated my stronghold with such small numbers but such impressiveness won’t save you from me. Now you must deal with the embodiment of war itself.”

Kite put his right hand on reaper and looked at the Elder unsure what to make of him. ”Before we start this mind if I ask a question.“ He was not pleading for it nor would he. If he didn’t get an answer he would simply let the battle rage on and one way or the other the answer would be lost on him. Mars however wasn’t a savage warmonger and surprised Kite with his answer, “Yes. Just because we are adversaries on the field of battle doesn’t mean we can’t be civil.” Kite was taken back by this answer. ”Why did you attack Sabertooth?“ Mar’s expression couldn’t be seen but his bright red eyes narrowed at the question. “Simple. It was in the way. For us to escape the power being supplied to the guild to keep it afloat as well as the town that is placed right above the gate way had to go as well, so two birds one stone.” Kite nodded, ”So our guild and town was just an inconvenience for you? Enough talk now. “ his flames lit ablaze, ”In the name of Sabertooth, You will die here.“ he inhaled and with a thrust forward he fired the first attack of the battle. ”Flame Demon’s Rage!“ he released a stream of flames from his mouth and engulfed in the azure flames. When the flames subsided it was revealed that Mars had placed his shield up between himself and the attack. Parts of his body were scorched but he only took half the damage. With his mighty spear he aimed it at Roy and sent it flying at him, Should it hit it will deal B rank damage to him.

Nothing more needed be inquired from Ultor that hadn't already been said or asked previously between Kite and Mars Ultor himself, all that remained was for justice to be meted out with utmost prejudice - the war god wouldn't stand a chance against the onslaught which the two of them could provide. The woman silently remained idle as she focused her eyes intently on the form of Ultor himself, pondering how she would expedite his demise as Kite revealed an angry Flame Demon's Rage directly into the path of Ultor, who unexpectedly utilized some form of defensive magic. The spear of Ultor was then raised and mightily hefted - then thrust towards the form of Roy. The only problem was that Luna was in the perfect position to interpose. Pushing her body to it's limits with magical enhancement, Luna quickly pushed her body smooth as an arrow as she sailed over towards the spear and with with he right mechanical arm Susanoo, took the impact on the side of the spear and absorbed all of the kinetic impact as she heaved all her force into the snap punch to throw the spear's trajectory off kilter enough to completely miss Roy even if it righted itself due to the air current following her punch and blowing it away.

Luna took no delay in activating the Susanoo by uttering the word '
    Gespanntheit'
and chanting a small spell which covered her ina  translucent layer that was nearly fully invisible. Shifting a half-step so that she now fully faced the god of war, Luna released a momentous cry that began to shake the ground around her and stir the sky for miles on end - any cloud-cover drawing to one particular spot, to surround the chamber high high in the sky. Luna's form newly infused with the power of God Force. Her hair, once curly and silky in form, almost seemed as if it was a flame of pure midnight hue. At the same time, wings of pure might hue were formed from the back of Luna with similar little winglets at her wrists and ankles. Wasting no time, the black wings surrounded Luna as she moved, forming the outline of a black dragon as bits of light connected and filled the illusion. As she reached up high into the sky and crashed down on Ultor, it seemed as if a massive weight had just slammed into him as the ground underneath him cratered in a convex.

"SKY GOD CHARIOT!" roared the voice of Luna, the 'dragon that had been surrounding her now rending into the god of war. She was already quick on her feet, but this speed had only further been enhanced and now she was a blaze of movement on the battlefield, moving to the side of Kite in no more than a few seconds.

Faith won’t always save you. My flames will do that instead.

Kite stared across at the elder as blue flames licked across the shield that protected Mars from the spell. Luna made her move and became unseeable during the attack and went to go do what she would usually do but either way Mars was more focused on Kite who he perceived as more of a threat which is understandable. Amongst those who were there to oppose the Elder of war his magic aura was much stronger than that of Luna, Roy and Zar but Kite knew that would prove to be a mistake. “Your flames are indeed hot but you will need more than that to beat war itself!” Mars stated as he lifted his foot and slammed it on the ground causing a ripple of energy stemming from the red hued aura that flowed from his body. Erupting from the ground was a sudden explosion that engulfed Kite in flames.

While Mars focused on Kite and released his ancient recipe of elder fire which was very similar to Greek Fire, he was unaware of Luna’s presence until she revealed herself and unleashed her god force and launched a ferocious spell that she called Sky God’s chariot. The black air that formed the head and body of a dragon descended down onto the Elder of war. “Oh looks like you had some hidden power after all woman.” He said calmly as he closed his hand but left his index finger and middle finger on his right hand extended and by his elbow lifted his arm up. The smell of burnt meat filled the air as his red aura circled around him and morphed into various swords, spears, axes and pikes and shot up to meet the Chariot spell. “But you’re 1000 years too young to catch Mar’s by surprise.” The Elder boasted to the god slayer and in his hubris he left himself wide open for the attack that would come next.

As the Elder fire bathed the Demon slayer in it’s heat, Kite was relaxed entirely despite the flames licking at him.

During the encounter with Mars and Luna, Kite bathed in the flames and sucked them down his throat like it was pasta until the flames were all safely inside his belly and he smirked at the god of war. ”Demon Slayer secret art. Demon king hellraiser.“ flames swirled around his body and he took off like a rocket on approach to Mars. The swirling flames connected to a point in front of his head and continued to spin like a drill slamming into the god like a train. This hurt mars and made him look down at the shorter man ”Flame demon’s Raging inferno“ the flames shot from his mouth and cloaked the god in a larger amount of his flames. He cleared the way by leaping backwards and looked up at his ace in the hole, the goddess slayer. ”Luna now!“

The fact that Mar was more focus on Kite as he saw the other as more of a threat between the two was something that would only serve to play in the favor of the team - it was a weakness or a chink in the armor that would serve to aid Luna in the end. even if he seemed to put enough attention on her quick enough to stop what she was doing, to bring his barrier of burning blades upon him but this was exactly the purpose of Luna's attack as it gave a momentary lapse for Kite himself to take advantage of. she would have thought that he would have finished Mars right then and there. She knew he could, but he didn't. Instead, Kite set her up to land the finishing blow. There was no way the Sky God Slayer could let this opportunity slip by and would pour her everything into the last attack. Even if it caused her pain and suffering, if they could destroy Ultor then it was all worth it to her. Finally, it would all be over with and Sabertooth could rebuild.

Luna raised her hands skywards, black winds surrounding her fully, which would envelope her and eventually formed a 'hardened' suit of metal armor with a pair of black angelic wings and finally a blackened halo behind her head. Finally, at speeds that not even Mars could see (because she was literally disappearing and teleporting, not moving) he burst forth towards him as she shout from the top of her lungs; "Sky God Secret Art: Sema Cracker!" As soon as she teleports into point-blank range with Ultor, a gargantuan lance of black winds thrusted forwards and pierced into the elder being. Additonally, as his body was being ripped through, miniature explosions of pure magical force ripped through him and exploded out back behind him.
