    Lucius Foss Golden Phoenix B-Rank
    I   c r e a t e d   a   m o n s t e r   a   h e l l   w i t h i n   m y   h e a d

Mages, mostly legal, had been requested to help dispose of a beast that had been spotted near the border that Seven and Bosco shared. Since he was in a legal guild, Lucius was considered to be a legal mage, which made sense at the same time it didn't. Because he would usually not try to help people, but is usually forced to do so by his sister. So here he was, or at least was arriving there, he wasn't quite there yet. He sat upon the train, though there was other people on the train, they stayed quite a distance away from the brooding teenager. Which made sense, being seven feet tall, dressed fully in black with a large pullover sweater hood shading the majority of his face. He was fine with this, and was amused by their current uncomfortable state. Due to him being there and so being intimidating and creepy, well at least to most people. Though he was the center of attention, which is something he usually doesn't like in the slightest, but fed off of others fear (not literally but metaphorically speaking if you get what I mean). It actually made him feel good, or at least what he thought was a good feeling, at least for the boy with a brain screwed to hell and back.
He didn't have that a lot genuine happiness these past few months, usually flooded with constant misery or apathetic depression. Only finding light in small things, which is usually something like this or casual sibling banter with his sister. Something he doesn't have that much anymore due to him rarely leaving his room, and her being really busy with work as a legal guildmaster and a Wizard Saint. So the two of them hasn't spent much time together, usually only on jobs, even those were with other people. It was a rare and cherished occasion when it was just the two of them, since he hated and barely tolerated everybody besides his elder adoptive sister. Though she has a personality he usually despises, he actually likes her, maybe it is purely because of the amount of time spent together or something else. It's impossible to tell really.
The train stopped, the conductor said the name of the stop and the boy released a sigh from his pale lips. He heaved himself onto his feet, standing tall at his impossible height, at least he actually fit on the train car standing. People, as expected and as always, avoided him as he left. Some left the cabin after he did, but at this point, they were out of sight so they were out of mind. Lucius didn't care for everyday bystanders, he never thought what life they might be living, where they're going, that they're their own person and they are humans, not just some side character of some important person's story or that they even matter to somebody. Because to him, they didn't matter in the slightest, he might only remember some face just because his photographic memory usually remembered the stupidest and the most unimportant things. It was useful, but sometimes it was just really annoying. Such are the curses of being a mental genius, or at least being what society thinks a genius it.
The assassin headed to his destination, waving his cane in front of him to prevent him from tripping or hurting himself in some other way shape or form. Now his annoyance rested upon him, he couldn't do this job on his own, he was doing it with another person. He was actually the second person requested to help with this, so he knew it from the start, but here he was. He regretted leaving his room this morning, he should've just stayed asleep, then maybe he wouldn't have been sent to go on this job. It's all he seems to do, sleep or attempt to sleep, maybe eat, and just forced to go on jobs. It's what his life has been reduced to, not that it was ever that good to begin with. He should not have taken his childhood with his adoptive sister for granted, he really misses those easier times. When neither of them had anything to be busy with, well besides them with their own instruments, but really that isn't anything compared to what they do now. He couldn't, and wouldn't, have dreamed that is what his life would become. At most that he wished as a child probably would be to have peace and quiet, at least that's what he wants now. Should be easy to guess, it's not like his mental state has changed much since he was a child. Probably got better for a little while, then ten times worse, maybe worse then that.
He shoved his thoughts to the side, this wasn't going to help him on this mission, nor was it going to help him deal with whoever he was working with. It would put him in a bad mood, like it was already doing, and make him not be able to be productive with his work, a.k.a. fighting and/or killing whatever beast roamed this area that he was just arriving at. He hoped that this person, whoever they were, wouldn't be any more tiresome then any normal person. And that they would carry their own weight, and maybe do most of the work so he wouldn't have to do much. All this would be nice, but he knew how his luck was, nonexistent and all. So he figured that he would have everything he didn't want and hated. The dark mage stopped in his tracks once he sense the magical presence of another mage. Placing the cane firmly on the ground and both his hands on the head of it, he set his crimson gaze in his job companion's general direction "And I'm assuming I'm working with you?"

    Leila Vergious Golden Phoenix B-Rank

Not every adventure was safe. In fact, Earthland was fairly unforgiving as far as the worlds come. But perhaps that was one of the things that Leila adored about this world. The world that she always considered her own, one in which she was 'born'. After all that time she spent in Fiore, she wanted to see the beauty of this world again. First was the Seven, nation right next to Fiore. And right after that was meant to be Bosco, a technological superpower of this world, or so they claimed themselves to be. Surprisingly, the entire party wanted to come with her into this almost otherworldly nation. And by a party, she mostly just meant Megumi, the slime witch, and scientist who she had helped in the past in this very land. Ever since that day, the young witch decided that the Eden's caretaker was a very good bodyguard to have by her side. And so, they journey together had begun. Leila Vergious, Megumi Tireheart, the Nameless Golem and a lovely mascot of the team, Ori. Those four were moving together in a lovely purple caravan on the dirt road toward their destination. And while one would easily assume that this destination was the border to Bosco, they would be wrong. Along the way, they passed by a notice. One that was not only present here in the magical land of Seven but all over Earthland for its importance. A beast was on the prowl, blocking the south-east passage to Bosco. A number of merchant convoys were already attacked by this monster. And no survivors were ever left behind. Horrid news that terrified common folk and mages alike.

"You sure about this, Lei-Lei? They say that the beast already killed a dozen of guards that tried to capture it. At this right, I don't think we would stand a chance even if I utilized my most amazing slime powers! The world sure is big and scary~"

Those were the words of a fancy dressed Megumi, sitting by her alchemy table and fiddling with various slime-filled vials as always. The lack of paved road made it so that her entire set-up would jump in the air every now and then, but that didn't really seem to bother her all that much. On the very opposite side of the caravan's interior was seated a Machias. A sentient machine with an unknown origin, a golem without a name and father to Leila.

"Someone of your power would not stand a chance indeed. However, I have analyzed all the reports that came in. If we are careful and prepare accordingly, we shall be victorious. Not to mention, ridding Seven of this monster is our duty, as we have the means to do so and are nearby."

Voices of both of them were quite loud in order to escape through the open door and windows. After all, they were meant to reach the person who was lying atop the moving makeshift home, basking in the sun as a small white shining creature cuddled to her. That was the leader of this expedition, the Eden's caretaker herself. But something was quite unusual about her this time. She was not in her disguise. It has been few days since Megumi caught her without the black butterfly necklace and the secret was out. Not that it really mattered, they all had to trust each other if they were to travel together like this. But there was another reason she did not put on the jewel which would completely mask her appearance and her identity. For she knew that there would be an ally waiting for them. Someone she knew, in fact.

"Lucius Foss. I never had a chance to work with him, makes me wonder how he will be. Well, if he's a sibling to the new guild master, then there probably won't be any trouble. With him at our side, I'm sure we'll be able to catch that monster easily."

At one point, the girl was an Ace of the Golden Phoenix guild. Unfortunately, she had lost this position after her incident. It was no surprise, she was proclaimed dead after all. And now that she was back, she had to work harder than ever if she ever wanted that position back. But from back then, she still remembered all of the old guild members and their names, if nothing more. And so far, they yet had to escape her memory. Slowly, the caravan would arrive at a train station in the vast green fields of grass. There was nothing but meadows and small hill as far as the eye could see. The station itself was connected to a smaller village where the mages of Golden Phoenix were meant to meet. From here, they would go little further to a place where someone was attacked by the beast and track it down. But first things first, the careless witch jumped from the caravan's roof and started swiftly moving toward a man in black who was rather standing out from the crowd. The rest of her gang tried to park in the meantime.

"Yup, I'm the one you'll be stuck with for a little bit. Leila Vergious, a wandering mage and member of Golden Phoenix. It is a pleasure to meet you~"

A sight of a girl in midnight blue armor and a top hat, a strange yet adorable creature on her left shoulder and fairly strong magical aura to it all. Perhaps the sight of this girl would bring some comfort to this boy? Or perhaps it would have the very opposite effect. Whatever the case would be, they had to make sure that no more innocent people would get hurt because of this powerful beast. Not only because they accepted this job together, but Leila also had to stand up to her title as the first Rising Star and make sure to be the hero that would save people from harm's way. It was her duty and passion. Her very own desire and conviction.

The boy realized the presence of others that were with the wandering mage, something that he disliked of course, being the antisocial person that he is. The more people the more annoying it was for the boy. That meant that more people would be talking to either each other with conversations he didn't care about, or talk to him in conversations he still didn't care about, but had to participate in because it wouldn't be very good to ignore. Doing so would probably just drag the mission on even more then needed and more then he could handle, and it would be a hassle, but sometimes talking to them would drag it on anyways. So really this was a lose lose scenario for the assassin, no matter where he looked. His tolerance would certainly be worn down after all this socialization that he has to do with these people he didn't know. He might've known them if he even bothered to meet anybody else in the guild, but he didn't. So he knew next to no one, the only people he knew, even if he didn't want to know them were: his elder sister, Astrid (probably the only person he wants to know and talk to), and a young girl that was the adopted daughter of probably the most annoying guy on the planet, due to his naive and pushy nature to try and force everybody else to be good by being rude to them and shouting at them (at least he did that to Lucius, he wasn't sure about others), Shizuka.
The boy had met the other guildmaster besides, the one that wasn't his adoptive sister, but he didn't remember her name. He'd also seen others that were in Golden Phoenix, but he didn't bother to know or remembered their names. Leila Vergious, as she introduced herself, might've been one of them. He hoped that after this he wouldn't have to bother with her or any of her entourage ever again, though he knew how his luck was and assumed otherwise. He wasn't much a person for having a positive outlook on things, probably because if he ever tried to, it never turned out good in the slightest. Not that he wasn't always a pessimist, because he was, just not always as much of one. Now he had no reason to believe all the hopes he creates within his mind, because he knows them to false, naivety and optimism was a thing his sister specialized in, not him. They were opposites, so that included there outlook on most things. Though the shadow mage wasn't sure how his sibling looked at life now, she'd been through so many things that he wasn't told, but he was aware that they happened.
Lucius released a sigh from his pale lips, readjusting his standing position to make himself more comfortable, well as comfortable as he can be about unfamiliar people. "Pleasure, sure" the boy muttered under his breath sarcastically, though he barely moved his lips when he whispered it, only to be heard by people with hearing better then that of a humans. Then he actually spoke towards the girl instead of silent words to himself "Name's Lucius, guess we should get going now, so we can dispose of this monster whatever it is" he said, his voice showed how he was withdrawn and uncaring, but it still seemed like he wanted to go, just purely by the fact that he introduced himself and suggested moving on instead of continuing to converse. He continued speaking "Guess you should lead the way because..." the boy paused and gestured at his crimson eyes that looked slightly glazed over and paler due to his blindness, and he tapped his cane on the ground to give her a hint without voicing it, then he continued "...I cannot" he looked in her direction with an aloof expression.
