Appearance: Oras Auro is not by any means bulky and muscular, though his training in survival has given him suitable strength and agility. During this training his body was kept from a slim and fragile shape. While rarely ever going without his travel and combat gear, if one does catch him without it, he is typically wearing a simple crimson shirt and black pants. His travel and combat gear is made up of defenses and disguises. For the head he wears a simple hood, a large scarf that covers most of his face as well as his neck, and a simple mask with nothing but a black visor. For his torso he wears a rather short cape that only reaches the midriff region, a leather chestpiece for the upper torso, and a chainmail shirt underneath. Over the cape that covers his shoulders as well, he has a single shoulder piece on the left side that is kept together by latching onto the cape, and a medallion on his left shoulder with one of the two magic circle tattoos. His arms are covered with long sleeved cloth kept together with leather binding. His right hand is covered by a metal glove with claws on the fingers while his left hand is covered with a fingerless glove. He wears a waist cape with chainmail pants and leather boots that are designed for agility. These boots when powered by lacrima, increase his agility, running speed and stability. The color of the cloth is dark blue, black and deep purple. (Image soon to come)
Guild Affiliation: Has never joined a guild
Tattoo Location: No tattoo (would be on back of right shoulder)
Wizard Rank: D
Magic Type: Illusion Magic
Magic Used: Fictitious Actuality (Awaiting Approval)
Likes: Self Control - Oras used to be ruled by his enthusiastic nature and his belief that everything was fine and dandy. This allowed him to fool around with the twins and act however way he wished so long as nobody was seriously injured. After the massacre, his perspective changed and he believes every second of your life counts so don’t waste it. Seeing someone lose control and let their emotions control their life saddens and annoys him. Seeing someone who is able to control themselves leaves a good impression on him.
Observant/Aware - Beforehand, Oras never understood how dangerous the world was and ignored everything around him save for magic, his obsession, and his friends. After the event, he had learned that evil intent existed everywhere. Therefore he prefers to keep his eyes and ears open at all times, staying silent to focus on his surroundings. To see someone ignoring their surroundings or analyzing another’s gear or appearance leaves the impression that they tend not to care.
Considerate - Oras was taught mainly to keep himself alive, and while he hasn’t mastered protecting someone else, he does aid where needed. His master, although never vocally, had taught him to value life and help others who need assistance. If he feels they are strong enough to get out of a situation on their own, then he will leave them be. To see someone ignore a life about to be extinguished, or be the one to kill or maim, causes him to dislike said person.
Dislikes: Giddy People - Oras tries to stay focused on his current tasks or overall goals. He does his best to keep himself calm and collect in order to more easily keep his mind sharply focused on his surroundings and opponents. This is why he very much dislikes spending time with people who are giddy, or hyperactive. Especially if they end up talking most of the time. Oras rarely loses his patience outside combat, and when he does it’s usually around someone like this.
Cruelty - Oras as stated above, learned to appreciate life. Whether it’s a human who’s life is threatened or a small animal, he does his best to keep them from the void. There are of course, those out there who snuff life out without a second’s hesitation. Oras despises said people and will do what he can to prevent them from doing so again should they cross his path. However he is cautious and intelligent, so if it’s clear he cannot win he will not press forward, but find a way around.
‘Distractions’ - When in combat, Oras dislikes distractions. Or, more so than outside combat. Therefore he tends to work alone as he dislikes it when others distract him. If he does work with someone else, it will be someone he trusts completely, whom he can plan and work with. So far however he has found no one and thus remains alone.
Fears: Death - Oras ultimately fears death. Not to the point where he becomes frantic, but he is afraid to die. This fear only kicks in if his foe is intent on killing him, and only if he’s at a disadvantage and close to death. This fear can be a benefit or a weakness depending on the situation, and how he handles it. Depending on what’s going on in his life during this time he might have more control over his fear, or it might have more control over him.
Opening Up - There has always been one thing that he fears. And that is being an open book. He fears giving others complete knowledge on his true appearance, his emotional state, thoughts, thought patterns, even what he likes to eat. His survival instinct insists that he keep all information hidden. This as well as other reasons, such as a minor fear of betrayal, also add to his reasons to keep a mysterious appearance.
Memory Loss - As strange as it sounds, Oras is afraid that he might one day obtain memory loss, whether naturally or through means of magic. He gathers much information on magic itself as well as info on many different people over time and thus it’s much information that he could lose at random. He seeks to find somewhere he can store journals and other entries of information so that on the off chance he does loose his memory, he will be able to obtain it in other means. At the same time he seeks to find some form of magic or device that restores memory.
Motivations: Survivalist - Oras thinks about a great many things throughout each hour of the day, but survival is never far from his thoughts. He’s reached the point where he need not worry about hunger or thirst, as he has learned how to live off of the land, regardless of what terrain he is in. Oras seeks to become indestructible. Not invincible or unstoppable, but unable to be taken out. He seeks to live as long as possible.
Friendship - Despite his untrusting nature, his shadowed appearance and aura, as well as his dull speech, Oras truly does in fact, wish to find people he can put his faith, trust, and friendship in. It is his goal and consistent wish that he find at least two: One he can share his life with and another whom he can go to for help. He consistently keeps an eye out for anyone, but he doubts he’ll find anyone for the longest time.
Supportive - While mainly focusing on survival, Oras also cares for the survival of others. If he sees someone in need of his assistance, then he will do what he can to aid them. He does in fact, care about other people’s needs, hopes and dreams, as well as their lives in whole. However if their, ‘need’, does not actually require anyone’s assistance, he will ignore them entirely. Another one of his morals is you’ll end up nowhere if you live off of other’s strengths.
Personality: First impressions are important, to that every human being can agree on. Oras Auro seeks to hold over himself an aura of mystery and secrets. Oras never goes anywhere without wearing his travel and combat gear and only talks when necessary and only about something important. He doesn't very much care for idle chitchat and likes to be somewhere quiet where he can be alone with his thoughts. With his wearing a mask that blocks the view of his eyes, without any particular magic that allows one to see through it is impossible to tell who or what he's looking at, as well as any emotional expressions he gives. Upon interacting around him more, one will find that he enjoys staying informed. Should a name arise that he has not yet heard about, or if he learns of someone or something that holds great importance he will investigate this information any way he can. His investigations are primarily focused on caution and intelligence only, however the more important it is to gain this information, the more likely he will take risks as needed.
While wearing his outfit, every portion of his body is completely and absolutely covered, leaving no trace of skin and nothing exposed. While wearing this, he calls himself by his alias: Verus. The name was the flip side of what his magic was about. The latin word for truth. This was not to say that he was truth, or that he knew what truth was, although he himself believed that what others believed was solid truth and reality was nothing more than an illusion. While wearing this outfit he tends to be in a more alert, silent, and calculative. He doesn't really care about gossip, fashion, flirting, or any other form of pleasantries. He stays focused only on his goals and whatever job he has accepted, pushing forward through the mission until completion. If any attempt to enter a conversation with him in this state, unless the topic includes info on achieving his goals or assignment, or if they wish to have a philosophical discussion, he will typically ignore or move on.
However he isn't always wearing this outfit. There are two ways to see him without it: The off chance that he is relaxing is the first of the two ways. However to catch him in this manner is very rare as the only time he chooses to do so is typically done somewhere private or secure. The second way is by becoming a friend of his, and to do this is an incredible achievement. Due to his extreme caution he tends to only befriend those he believes are truly trustworthy. This process is usually a combination of rumor filtering, investigating background, speaking with others who know of said person, and finally being around them enough to the point where he's able to tell who they really are. If he believes you are trustworthy and a good person, then and only then will he consider one as a friend. When he's not wearing his outfit he is usually a little more lax, gentle, considerate, and talkative, though only by a little bit. He is still rather quiet, and topics that revolve around gossip, fashion and such bore him swiftly, causing him to fall silent. When he's content and enjoying himself however, there is a small chance to see him smile.
During combat, Oras relies on illusion magic. On a basic sense, his strategy involves keeping the target from knowing exactly where he is, where he's going, what he's planning to do, and keeping them from hitting him in the first place. After establishing this, he'll attack at random, keeping from developing a pattern or other means for his opponent to discern where and how to attack him. He can strike up close when an opportunity arises, and from afar when there is none. He uses daggers up close and throwing knives from afar. He typically collects many knives and stores them in void bags, which he attaches to the inside of his sleeves, allowing him to supposedly pull knives out of nowhere, making it seem as if he has an infinite amount of weaponry. In detail, he summons up false images of himself that move the way he does. A few are able to deal physical damage as well, while most of them are just distractions and nothing more. Using these images, he and his illusions keep a random and swift movement around his opponents, consistently changing directions or switching places, keeping the opponent from being able to focus on one figure alone. With his boots, his agility and stability is increased, allowing him to avoid attacks more easily.
Primary Magic: Fictitious Reality
Secondary Magic: N/A
Castor/Holder: Castor
Description: Truth. All have used the word, but a great many of them don’t understand the the actual concept of the word. Some have learned the concept while studying Philosophy. And yet even they don’t understand what actual reality is. The general concept for truth is ‘in accordance with fact or reality’, but then that leaves the question: What is fact? What is reality? Reality is ‘the world or state of things as they actually exist’ but even that definition, is wrong. One of the main laws of nature is that everything changes over time. Nothing remains the same. Change may be slowed, delayed, but never stopped. The truth about reality is: there is no reality. Everything you think is the truth is in fact nothing more than an illusion. Oras discovered this not only through years of study and debating, but through harsh lessons of life as well. Upon discovering this, he sought to embrace the concept. Understanding that nothing was real, he would take his opponent’s whole world and shatter their reality. Using his mind as well as his body’s magical energy, he is able to not only project illusions, but (upon reaching higher ranks) warp reality itself, destroying everything a person has believed to be true… And leaving them vulnerable.
The purpose of this magic is to question anything and everything the castor’s opponents have ever known, as well as forcing them to question the same. One’s mind can only do so much, and it’s difficult to engage in combat when the world around you suddenly becomes warped, the world changing from a solid and stable space into an ever shifting universe where it is impossible to determine what you once thought was real, is anymore. However it’s not just the world itself that can be warped. The senses of the body and emotions can also be fooled and warped. When opponents face this magic, they leave behind anything they knew or believed to be true, and enter a world where nothing is real. Senses and emotions betray them entirely. The only limits with this magic are the castor’s imagination.
Strengths: The ability to manipulate one’s senses and emotions is the basics of this magic. As one advances in this magic, it also grants the ability to alter the world itself.
This magic projects, alters the world, and warps the senses and emotions, and thus it is able to effect any and all being in the area. There are many ways to alter, warp and fool people, whether it’s just one person or a multitude of enemies.
Weaknesses: Even though Fictitious Actuality offers a few offensive spells, that is not where it’s strength is and thus the damage isn’t very powerful.
Over time as the castor uses Fictitious Actuality, a strain will build on their mind. The process itself is slowly, the castor noticing no change for a good while. However the effects grow slowly over time and do not withdraw until the castor ends the magic and rests.
Illusion magic is limited to one's imagination and creativity. If one's imagination is weak and limited, so is this magic.

- Abilities:
- Unique Ability 1:
Ability Name: Injurious Duplicates
Description: Oras is skilled in the art of illusions in more ways than simple spells. He is able to summon special illusions within maximum user range that can either appear in the form of inanimate objects or copies of himself. These illusions have no intelligence on their own and must be controlled by Oras himself. If summoning illusionary copies, he can only conjure up two. If summoning inanimate objects, he can summon between three to seven, depending on how big the objects are. Items that are an inch to two feet equals to seven total. Items from two feet to seven feet equals to five total. Items over the size of seven feet equals to three total.
These illusions are different than his other ones as they can deal physical damage. Physical illusion damage to be precise. The claw, daggers and throwing knives are what deal the damage. Any other attack such as kicks, punches, or other means of combat are impossible. Any attack done towards one of these illusions will not shatter or disperse it, but instead simply phase right through the illusions. They can last for a very long time but if the castor’s mental abilities are somehow restrained by extreme stress or fatigue, or if his mind is plagued with stress of personal issues, unconsciousness, or other drastic effects, the illusions will immediately disperse. If the opponent being struck by the illusion’s attacks has some form of resistance against illusions, the physical damage is nullified.
Effect: Summoned illusions can deal melee damage. Can exist within thirty meters of castor.
Unique Ability 2:
Ability Name: Diverting Replicas
Description: Moving forward in his goal to keep his exact location, pattern and movements a secret, as well as keeping his opponent from locking in on him, he is able to summon more than one special type of illusions. These illusions take the appearance of Oras as well but they operate in a much different fashion than the first ability. These illusions look exactly like Oras, move like Oras and wield daggers and throw knives just like Oras, but unlike the first specialty illusions they don’t deal damage in any form. They can however, speak. Their voice is identical to Oras’ own and thus giving the illusion that they are Oras, if used properly.
Oras can summon up two of these illusions without the cost of magic energy, an additional five if he consumes ten points of magic points. Like his other specialty illusions, any attack on them will simply phase through, not effecting the illusions in any way, and can last as long as the first specialty type. These are designed for evasive defenses. By having multiple targets that have the ability to speak, he can either make it appear as though he’s everywhere at once, or simply make it far more difficult to identify and lock onto the original.
Effect: Summoned illusions can exist within thirty meters of castor that can't be destroyed, can speak, but cannot deal damage of any form.
Unique Ability 3:
Ability Name: Trepidation
Description: The Aura seeps the feeling of fear and terror into those around the castor over time. What the target sees, feels or otherwise senses depends on what castor decides to display to them, meaning that castor has control over what his target or targets will see while under the effects of this aura. If target leaves the area of effect, the stages and effects of the stages will end, but whether their fear from the experience ends is up to the victim.
Stage 1: Stage one of this Aura alters the appearance of the castor as well as the world around but only on a slight scale. The castor appears slightly nightmarish. The world grows darker. Everything seems to appear far less friendly and pleasant than before. Victims of this stage will have a strong feeling of being watched from every direction.
Stage 2: Stage two of this Aura amplifies the effects and causes the target to feel a far stronger and more acknowledgeable sense of fear. Castor appears far darker and terrifying, aspects gained according to the opponent’s version of horrifying, whether it be horns, tentacles, blood, or other such aspects all depends on what the castor decides. The world around them appears cruel and unfriendly, anything alive suddenly seeming to decay and die. Light slowly leaving the air. Victim feels as though the very earth is seeking to swallow them up.
Stage 3: Stage three is by far the most potent stage of this aura. The target is overwhelmed by raw terror. The world around them appears demonic, cruel and destructive, seeming to lash out raw dark energy wildly into the air, fissures opening up at random, fiery geysers erupting, demonic tentacles sprouting from nowhere and lashing out at the figure but always ‘just’ missing. There are many other versions this nightmare can take, and all are under the control and decision of the castor. Castor Appears to be made of shadows, dark energies, and with a cruel, more demonic appearance than before. Outfit appears to be made of a black, indestructible metal with cruel shape and deep purple designs that pulse an eerie glow. Castor appears to have cruelly shaped horns, red glowing eyes, and other aspects that increase the terrifying image. Castor can determine what he appears as as well as the false world around. Victim is filled with absolute terror and occasionally is unable to move due to the sheer terror coursing through their body.
Effects: This Aura instils fear. Fear, as it does with anything, causes panic, frantic, or paranoid behavior. With each post that passes the stages of this ability increases to the next. Once at the final stage, the only way for these effects to be nullified is for people to leave it's effective range or Oras blocking the effects of the aura. As the stage's increase, the target’s maneuverability decreased and slowed (Stage one by 10%. Stage 2 by 15%. Stage 3 by 25%). The final stage causes target to paralyze for one post in fear every three turns. Effects equal and lower wizards. Wizards one rank higher are half effected while wizards two ranks and higher are not effected by this Aura.
Radius: 30 Meters
Ability Name: Revised Perception
Description: Oras doesn’t just conjure up illusions of himself. His illusion is far more advanced and with another purpose altogether. Oras has mastered the capability to take the very world you see, and alter the way other’s can sense it. It cannot effect how others are able to sense the world around them, only how the world is sensed. Many do not fully understand how the world works, but Oras does. And altering the world is child’s play to him. Visual sight is possible because of the light reflecting off of objects and others. If Oras altered the way light was reflected, he could change how other’s see an object or human’s shape and color. Soundwaves vibrate in the ear canal, different vibrations creating different sound. If Oras alters the vibration of the waves he can create different sounds. He can even change the way something or someone smells by altering the shape of the scent molecules in the air.
Stage 1: During stage one, Oras begins to alter the way the world around is seen. The process starts slow, objects and people seeming to change over time, their colors shifting and blending into one another, their physical body seeming to change. Objects seeming to age, grow more youthful. Become inviting or horrific and evil.
Stage 2: By stage two, the visual world becomes more and more altered, and Oras is able to start making impossible feats seem as if it’s real, such as the many tiles on a floor rising or lowering, all at different heights, living beings appearing to turn into hybrids. Oras is now able to begin altering the sound of the world as well, able to alter the pitch and volume of others a little, and is able to create artificial whispers that seem to come from nowhere.
Stage 3: At stage three Oras has warped the way the world is perceived in multiple ways. He can make the world and anyone in it appear to look like anything for one. He can change the way anything sounds or is heard, including the voices of others spoken aloud. And he is even able to change the way something smells. With the grand effect, Oras can make the world appear so unstable that it gives others sensing the altered world a sense of vertigo.
Effects: Alters and changes the world in a way that render the more important senses useless. If done correctly, and with enough focus, it is possible to immobilize target.
Strength: -Removes the uses of more important senses.
Weakness: -Cannot change or alter how other’s sense the world.
-Cannot create a sound, image, or smell he has not experienced or come across himself.
Radius: 30 Meters
- Spells:
- Rank D:
- "The world you know isn't as real as you imagine it to be. What is the actual truth? And what is the lie?"
Name: Effulgence Detonation
Rank: D
Type: Supportive/Defensive
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Two posts
Description: By understanding how light works, castor can draw in light and then thrust it in all directions as a blinding flash, temporarily blinding those around. Activated by hand motion. Effects those of equal or lower rank only.
Strengths:
1. This gives Oras time to set up the basic foundations of his illusion spells.
Weaknesses:
1. This spell can only be used if there is a light source nearby.
2. Cannot pierce physical objects or bodies and thus the blinding effect can be blocked.
Name: Visage Projection
Rank: D
Type: Supporter/Defensive
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Two posts
Description: Any attempt to strike Oras will activate this spell. Resting around Oras is an invisible boundary that senses rather than blocks. Should anything penetrate this boundary, so long as it has the capability to harm him, an illusion appears, taking shape of a person. The specific person depends on the castor’s choice. The illusion takes and can block any two rank D attacks.
Strengths:
1. This spell is a counter spell to attacks and thus will rarely be activated. If the appearance is someone the opponent knows, shock takes over at the sight of having attacked them.
Weaknesses:
1. Oras cannot read minds. If he doesn’t know someone his opponent knows then he cannot project them.
2. Opponents who don’t care for anyone, or have disconnected themselves emotionally cannot be shocked.
Name: Deceptive Mana
Rank: D
Type: Multiple Hit
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: Two Posts
Description: The attack’s appearance is energy. Castor can decide what color the energy is, as well as how it appears to behave. Upon activation it homes in on the target as a single entity. The moment it hit’s something physical it shatters into three which castor can guide into striking specific areas. Each of the three energy orbs deals 40% rank damage.
Strengths:
1. These energies are an illusion until impact, and thus cannot be controlled by anyone other than the castor.
Weaknesses:
1. Individually these energy strikes are rather weak and don’t deal much damage.
2. Due to lack of force, this attack cannot break through solid steel, stone, etc.
Name: Parasitic Shackle
Rank: D
Type: Damage over Time
Duration: Three posts
Cooldown: Four Posts
Description: Should Oras be struck by a physical or magical attack this spell shall activate. The spell itself creates a magical band that is drawn to the target with intense speed and latches on, phasing through any physical or magical protections as it begins as an illusion, turning physical only when it meets contact with the attacker. Once physical it latches on like a wrist band wherever it lands. Once latched on, the magical band deals 50% of it's rank in damage for three posts. Once it's duration ends the spell fades away. In summary of activation, this spell only activates if Oras is struck by an attack, no matter what type or form.
Strengths:
1. This spell is extremely fast and agile, able to elude most defenses and move around to reach it’s destination.
Weaknesses:
1. This spell physically weak. If by chance the spell is hit by a magic defusing spell it will disperse.
2. This spell is not at all hidden and can be seen and/or felt.
- Rank C:
Name: Erroneous Portrayal
Rank: C
Type: Defensive/Burst
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 3 Posts
Description: Oras can make things appear something they are not. However he can also effect the physical world. Making his illusions vanish from one area to another is easily done without any cost. To make himself vanish requires mana. The moment he’s touched by any attack, no matter what, he is warped to a separate location within 2 meters. When he warps, he either phases through the attack before warping in a flash of light, or warps in a way that seems as if he burst into something (Ex. Shattering into shards like a mirror would before the shards vanish, or explodes into hundreds of tiny stars that fade the further they travel) When he emerges again, there is no sound or visual glamour. He just reappears.
Strengths: Oras can escape any attack of rank C and D.
Weaknesses: This type of teleport is only activated by weak spells of C and D, not B and above.
Despite the fact that it’s meant for protection, it requires time to cool down.
Name: Impetus Triangle
Rank: C
Type: Chained
Duration: 5 posts (+1 with reactivation)
Cooldown: 6 posts (+1 with reactivation)
Description: Oras or his non physical illusions (second ability) is able to place down a sort of rune with their hand upon spell activation. The run appears for a split second, being the width of Oras’ full arm, then turns invisible and undetectable in any way. By themselves, the runes are able to cause any individual to slow down instantly, or trip them. However if Oras places two more runes, each costing the same amount of magic energy, in a triangle formation, any who enter that triangle are immobilized for a single turn. The effects however, are not nearly as potent against stronger opponents. Only wizards rank C and D can be immobilized. Wizards who are rank B will end up being tripped and slowed, only if caught in the full triangle effect. Wizards above rank B will only be slowed a small portion and wizards of rank S are unaffected at all. The maximum width of each line between the runes can be up to 5 meters.
Strengths: -Can immobilize wizards at full effect, and slow them at minimal.
Weaknesses: -Can only immobilize wizards of rank C and D.
-Due to the length of time it takes to cool down, it’s a one time deal in combat, unless the foe is stupid.
Name: Universal Echo
Rank: C
Type: Burst
Duration: Intant
Cooldown: 3
Description: Oras is able to shift matter to create an invisible mirror. Any melee attacks towards him are reflected off of this invisible mirror deflect off, forcing the attacker back. If a projectile is thrown at it, it is thrown back at the attacker for C rank damage. Oras can summon it in from front of him to up to one meter away. The invisible echo is unable to extend or lower the total distance the projectile reflected can go.
Strengths: -Enemies attacks are reflected back.
Weaknesses: -Reflected damage goes no higher than C rank damage.
-Only reflected projectile attacks deal damage back.
- Rank B:
- Rank A:
- Rank S:
