Ainsley was about to wave her hands frantically in the air, but she aborted that plan when the thought occurred to her that this was a rather low key mission.  The old man who had made the gingerbread man that had come to life wasn't interested in paying fines for breaking however many magical laws had been disregarded.  Even if he had only been trying to get the cookie to bake faster, maybe it was a felony in Fiore.  The blonde couldn't actually remember, it had been so long since she was last in this country~ Rose Garden was her original home, too, so why was she even doing this awful job?  For the actual dessert itself, she supposed.  The client had promised that she would both be able to taste the gingerbread and also be given the formal recipe to create it, minus the magic parts that had been surreptitiously added, of course.  Now she was chasing after that scrawny little cracked piece of gingerbread, which was fleeing from her at almost the speed of sound; a trail of crumbs and broken pieces from his feet and the friction of the ground was thankfully left behind to follow or else this mission might have been impossible.

The girl with bright green eyes squinted at the skinny, crummy path that was all she had to work with.  When she had been debating waving her hands and attracting enough attention to ask if anyone had seen a mysterious wandering-- well, fleeing, actually-- gingerbread man around here, magical to boot, he had been running even father away.  Ainsley sighed loudly before her fingers reached into her pocket to grab out her recipe card for the best chocolate chip cookies ever; although the instructions were severely wrong and also missing the most crucial key components, like magic batter, it was a comforting thing to run her fingers over the bumpy words and the letters that made up them.  Hopefully that recipe card for the gingerbread man would be worth all of this fuss.

"Aah~" she let out a small squeak of surprise as suddenly, a brown lump whisked past her face and sent a shower of crumbs into her eyes.  "Hum!~" she yelped, trying to wipe them away without only digging the mess further inside.  Ugh, that all hurt so much.  Her eyes and nose were streaming with a goopy mess by the time the female finally got her sight all fixed.  Through the few tears that were left, the blonde caught sight of a impudent gingerbread man standing on top of a sign nearby that read, Arrêt.  He certainly wasn't taking any time to pause at all, because as soon as he realized he had been spotted the stupid little come-to-life pastry was on the run again.  Ainsley was left to flail around in his wake, trying to figure out how this next crumb trail worked.  By the time she managed to travel a dozen meters or so, the magical piece of gingerbread was already back to taunt her some more.  His words were jeering and even ended up ridiculing her desserts, which caused the blonde to be filled with a raging fury.  She chased after the little thing with all her might and followed it closely, all the way across town; nobody seemed to notice exactly what she was going after, though, which was a relief.  In the end, the young woman ran all the way to the Neutral Grounds, where her task was completed for her.  As soon as the gingerbread man crossed the border, he fell flat on his face as the magic was stripped from his body, and Ainsley was able to pick it up with a snort as she too felt her powers fade away.  "Hmph!~ that client owes me jewels for my time now too, not just the recipe card," she declared with an irritated expression.
