Job Requirements: Can only be taken by Neutral or Legal guilds
Job Location: Whirlpool Sea
Job Description:
Out of nowhere you hear a strange melody calling you and your allies, for some strange reason you feel the need to drop everything you are currently doing to follow the enchanting siren call. Along the way you seem to be in a dreamlike state and pay no attention to the goings on around you or even to where you are going. Eventually the song will stop and you find yourself deep within the ruins of a desolate library deep within the Pheonix Mountains. Since you are there you and your allies believe that you may as well have a look around. It is clear from the way the building has crumbled that the library had been attacked sometime in the past; on looking around further you find a single area with a door that seems to be untouched by damage and time, on the heavy wooden door there seems to be glowing ice blue symbols that seemed to have protected what was on the other side.
As it happens the symbols had weakened overtime and are now weak enough that they no longer prevent someone pushing the door forward. As you enter the room the deep crimson marble is lit by light lacrama revealing deep scrolling golden symbols moving across the walls almost as if it was a living magic. Within this room there are several untouched statues made of sparkling obsidian on either side of the short corridor leading into a large room at the end. Within this room four glowing white pillars with the same golden symbols curling around each of the pillars in which a white marble pillar with a single untouched scroll sitting on top of it. Walking forward you cautiously take the scroll and try to read it to no avail, however, you hear the song once more and as you look at the scroll it is almost as if the information is placed into your mind.
The scroll speaks of a dark mist filled forest where no one dares to tread as when you go in you are never seen or heard from again. This would peek your interest as you continue reading, it also speaks of a vast wealth hidden within the forest. It is then the scroll’s song goes silent but you have the image of an island within three whirlpools. It is now that you head for the nearest port and barter for passage to the island but are warned of a legend that says that the forest within is where those who once wielded requiem magic went when they became so corrupted and tainted that they couldn’t function near anyone else. The captain of the ship then laughs saying it was likely just a scare tactic and that you and your team should pay it no mind.
After several days on the boat you finally reach land and leave the boat, the captain smiles at you all and tells you, that in one week he will come back for you all and he will give you a twenty-four hour window after that to get to the boat or he will believe you have succumbed to the forest and will leave. He bids you farewell and leaves you on the beach looking at the clearly mist covered dark forest from within it you hear a harmony of crazed voices that would put a chill up anyone’s spine.
Enemies:
Weak: x10 warriors, these so called ‘warriors’ come in pairs and are nothing more than the possessed husks of people who have been unfortunate enough to hear the siren call of the island and stumbled into the honey trap never to be seen or heard from again. The do half c rank damage and have require 2 hits at B rank damage to take down.
Normal: x6 crazed undead, these undead move around in three’s, they are of mages, though they elemental based magics they use. They do B rank damage and require 6 B class hits to take down, and require one more hit at C rank hit to kill
Strong: x3 crazed wraith, these are beings of long since dead requiem users. They do B rank damage and require 6 B rank hits to take down, once down they revive and require two more hits to give true death, if these crazed wraith do damaged they also steal 5 mana points
Boss: Lily is classed as an A class mage for damage purposes but has S class mage for mana purposes and takes fifteen hits to take down. Lily at first sight appears as a young girl of eight years old, she wears a simple white dress and sandles, up her right forearm golden runes with white border. She seems nonthreatening as you first meet her singing and dancing as she doesn’t notice your presence. Once she does she smiles lulling you to be at peace if she succeeds you will fall asleep for two turns or until one of your allies wake you. It is only when she sees you as a thread that her true appearance will be seen, the dress becomes tattered, the sandles are barely held together, over her body and face deep purple markings can be seen dripping with an almost black viscera, do not let that touch your skin it acts like an acid. She can use elemental magic, shields and heals for half c rank damage (Her magic can be used as area of effect, single, damage over time. Most of her spells will last three to five rounds.)
Reward: 10k Jewel per mage that takes part and normal exp for B rank
