This idea is meant to expand upon the job rules, and help to greatly improve upon the job system by adding a personalized form of Job.
A Journey, is a custom job that a player will create for themselves and is a more personalized story. A Journey is an extended mission that takes place in multiple threads and areas. Missions can already be created to be required to be done in multiple areas, however the primary difference here is that a Journey can be done with many different partners and of varying ranks and is meant to make your character's personalized story the focus of the mission, and to bring many people in to your story.
Long missions, such as 100 Year missions can often be long and tedious and sometimes the people you begin the mission with may become unreliable, and for higher ranked missions, partners may simply not be available. Sometimes you need to take breaks from the mission. Segmenting a mission in to multiple smaller pieces, and taking whoever is around at the time on an "Arc" of your Journey, will help to ease a players dependence on specific individuals and help to work around difficult schedules as well as greatly improve a player's interaction with other players.
Each Segment of a Journey, can be referred to as an "Arc" and each Arc will function similarly to a regular job. Anyone, regardless of rank may tag along. Rewards however, will differ based on participation. Experience may be Less than a regular job, depending on the length and difficulty of each Segment. Further participation from the same people may result in greater rewards for the individuals accompanying the player on their Journey. Specific Arc's may hold their own rewards, and no experience. Some may only hold rewards for those assisting with the Arc, and not for the person meant to complete the Journey. The possibilities are endless.
