Magic
Primary Magic: Probability Magic
Secondary Magic: [None]
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description:
What does everything in this world have? Luck. Whether bad or good, everything must deal with probability in its existence. This magic has the ability to influence probability in favor of the caster, either against or for the target. As a simple matter of fact, it is much easier to influence the probability of an object over something as complex as a person with free will.
Ren uses this magic and its various spells to influence the probability of objects in a given task to either fail or succeed based on pushing the given probability in favor of Ren's choice. When seen, most think this magic is just some sort of telekinesis, though in reality, Ren is changing the chance of an action occurring as expected. It takes many quick calculations along with being in his sphere of influence or in order to more effectively push the probabilities in his favor, touching an object he wants to influence.
This type of magic combines Ren's ability to analyze a situation and probable outcomes and this use is magical power to directly influence those outcomes to his liking, usually in favor of him. However, odds are always shifting and Ren's magical power can only do so much but usually that is quite sufficient to get the mission done.

Lineage: Inuki, The Demon Dog
Unique Abilities: (List the abilities it provides, make sure to separate each ability! Abilities are like passive traits, or a hidden power that can be activated for a very limited amount of time. These abilities are Unique to your characters specific use of the magic! As a starting D rank character, you are able to have 3 unique abilities, refer to the magic rules for abilities higher than D rank.)
Spells:
Name: Lady Luck's Embrace
Rank: Scales with Caster's Rank.
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supportive
Duration: Per Standard Rules for each Rank.
Cooldown: Per Standard Rules for each Rank.
Description: With a touch (including Transference as above) of an object, Ren can affect the probability of any one specific action taken with the object will pass or fail. This action is decided with the spell is cast and must be specific, which can be cast and completed in the same post. The action's expect result is also decided when the spell is cast, either to have said action succeed or fail. The impact of the change in probability is 5% for a Rank D mage. This impact increases by 10% with each new rank up to X (75% max from this spell). This does stack with the Sphere of Influence 5% change possible but no other spells, to a maximum of 80%.
There is a subtle flash of green light that accompanies this spell's cast completion and the object affected feels magical for the duration and can be tracked using the Sensory perk.

However, odds are always shifting and Ren's magical power can only do so much but usually that is quite sufficient to get the mission done.
Strengths:
- Versatile - Influencing any object's actions to your whim is useful after all objects are everywhere. Also, this influencing can have either a positive impact on his friends or a negative impact on his enemies.
- Hidden - This type of magic is subtle in it's workings so most don't initially realize what's even happening until its too late.
- Impactful - Though people may not understand the full power of this magic, they will definitely remember it, either making the user infamous or famous in it's use.
- Fast - Due to Ren's unique ability to perform complex mathematics quickly, he can enact a spell to affect a needed change in probability in a timely manner.
Weaknesses:
- Object Oriented - This magic can only influence objects. Ren hasn't discovered all the parameters yet needed to properly affect effective change in probability of a person's actions. The calculations and amount of magic power required I just too great for Ren at his current strength.
- Draining - Affecting probability with magic requires a lot of power and the more he has to swing the probability, the more magic power required to 'push' the needed change.
- Chaotic - Ren, even with his calculations and magic, can only affect things so much and it still may not be enough. While most the time, his magic is enough, there is always that chance that Lady Luck will step in to reset the risk, so to speak, causing his spells and their impacts to reset or even have the opposite effect.
- Range - Ren's sphere of influence is small (5 feet at most) as well as the fact that in most cases he needs to physically touch an object to affect change.
- Annulment - In training, Ren has discovered that his magic can not influence items already affect by others' magic. Either in the case of a magical item (either permanent or temporary) or a spell with no physical component, Ren's magic can not influence its behavior because magic is a reinforced manifestation of a person's will.

These abilities are Unique to your characters specific use of the magic! - Math Wiz - Ren has the ability to calculate the odds and probable outcomes quickly, almost instantly. His ability to analyze and then act on these calculations is very useful in his particular use of his probability magic.
- Sphere of Influence - Putting a marginal amount of magic power into the area around him, Ren can influence probabilities in objects around him, inducing a 5% difference in probability in his immediate favor. With enough training, he has been able to maintain this sphere nearly constantly with almost no strain to his magic power reserves as he as become so efficient at it that it doesn't exceed his normal passive recovery rate.
- Transference - Ren can use an object as a conduit for his magic, extending the reach of his touch-based spells with the length of the object. From a rope, to a chain, to a sword, he Ren is touching it and it touches something else, he can induce a probability change in the touched object. Though this change fades quickly once no longer in contact with Ren.

Strengths:
- Scalar - This spell scales with the caster, it's effect becoming more and more impacting as the mage becomes more experienced.
- Versatile - This spell can be cast at a lower rank per the caster's decision.
i.e. - A C-Rank mage can cast this spell at D-Rank with the appropriate duration/cooldown/MP cost/effect.
Weaknesses:
- Inevitability - Though a skilled mage can greatly affect the probability on a whim with this spell, there is always still a chance it can fail.
- Draining - This spell costs an additional 5% MP to cast, no matter what rank it is cast at or what rank the mage is, to a minimum of 5%.
