Job Location:
Joya
Job Description:
Joya, a lovely country full of cat-humaniod people. Now recently a problem has risen near the boarder of Joya. A nasty tribe has been growing in numbers and raiding nearby cities near the border, as well as raiding any traveling merchants. You were hired to help protect a traveling merchant that found the easiest way to acquire cheaper help for such a potentially threatening mission. The job should have been listed as a C or potentially B-class job, but the merchant was sly with their words, and listed it as a cheap d-class job with low pay. Either way, escort the man through to his destination, receive pay, and then head off.
Enemies:
Weak: Is that even a tribe?
A band of 3 D-rank warriors, more like a ragtag group of bandits. They're fairly weak, and if you took this job as a B-rank, then this counts as a 'normal roll' instead
Normal: Normal Tribe
Lead by a C-rank warchief, and a few (3-5) D-rank lackeys. This seems to just be part of the stronger tribe, but luckily you only ran into this one.
Strong: Strong Tribe
Lead by a B-rank warchief, with two lieutenants that are C, and several lackeys that are D-rank. If you're D-rank, this job means you are too weak to protect the merchant, and must have a legit way to bring in someone stronger(i.e mentor or player summon. If you do not, then you fail, and may never take this job again. If you are C-rank, this doubles your word count.
Boss: Strong Ambush!
First off this is a strong Tribe(strong roll) Second, this just tripled your current word count. if you're C-rank or under this qua tripled your word count instead & you must follow the 'strong' roll as if you were a D-rank . Either complete the new word count, or fail. If you fail, you cannot ever take this job again. B-ranks are not affected by this roll, and are simply rolling a 'strong'
Reward:
normal xp & 2k jewels

With a yawn the teenage looking henge yokai stretched out his arms and walked down the steps off of the train. He rode this train to get to Joya, a place outside of Fiore in Earthland, inhabited by beautiful half-cat half-human creatures. Living in a tribalistic style they are surrounded almost completely by some of the highest mountains that resided in this country. Luckily at least one set of train tracks had been made to be able to access the almost completely isolated country. The wild and colorfully flourished jungles rivaled in appearance to that of Seven’s. A place Itazura recently visited for a job dealing with a feral creature, hopefully this job would be as fun as that one. Maybe even more than, oh how enjoyable that would be. Looking about, he scanned the surroundings for his client, this small tribe being where he was told to meet him. Stuffing his hands in his pockets he walked among the anthro felines of Joya, he stood out like a sore thumb being human in appearance. So he got a lot of odd and curious looks, some pointing from children before their mother’s scolded them for being rude. The ace would just snicker and tell them it was fine in response.
Instead of finding the merchant, they found him. Similar in appearance to others of his species, he stood six inches taller then the weasel. A smile was on his expression and a greedy glint in his eyes, and to help that he twirled a jewel between his fingers. Stopping said twirling and clutching it in his palm as he spoke in a smooth tone of voice to the kamaitachi. "Aruzati is it? I'm glad you could come" he said, his lip curling into a grin. Itazura could see right through this guy, probably because he was slightly similar to himself. Greedy, taking what he can and giving as little as possible without getting in trouble. Though the weasel would do the last, but do it even more so, not caring if he got in trouble. He nodded to his question "Well shall we get moving?" he asked rhetorically, spinning on his heels and flicking a bit of his colorfully colored and patterned scarf shawl to rest on his back instead of his chest. The itachi simply just shook his head and chuckled slightly, this was going to be amusing indeed. Whether it was going to be this man or the fighting, he wasn't sure. With a sigh of content, he followed after him, kicking up some dirt with his black boots as he walked.

They traveled through one of the many exotic and untamed jungles of Joya, Itazura followed after his client who carried a large pack on his back, leading the way. The weasel let out a large yawn and scratched at his face, it was oddly silent, but not for long. Soon enough the silence was interrupted, a chief followed by five of her tribe. Two shot arrows from their ambush posts up in the vine tangled trees. The other three stood with spears, ready for battle. The merchant cowered and the itachi grinned, this is what he came here to do. Unsheathing his six inch claws he swiftly climbed up the tree and raked his claws across one of the archers. Who screamed and fell from their spot, no doubt injuring themselves in the fall. An arrow was shot at the weasel which he hit out of the air with his sickle like claws. From the tree he launched himself on top one of the spear men, stabbing his claws within their stomach. Wrenching the spear from the man's hands he threw it right into the other archer, causing them to fall from their perch.
Looking at the others with a terrifying grin to be feared he licked the blood from his claws. Two of the lackeys attempted running, but were clawed very severely in the back, leaving them bleeding out and probably with eternal injuries if they didn't die. Facing the other two he spoke "So does anybody else want to run and end out like their friends, or get a merciful death?" Itazura said rather antagonistically as he cracked his knuckles. The head of their group stood firmly with a rather intimidating dagger in hand, almost to be feared as much as his claws. She signaled to her last goon, something that apparently meant run or get help or some such like that. Because they ran as fast as they could out of there."You're a monster" she said with a growl, her body shook with fear and anger, tears threatened to fall from her eyes "Yeah so I'm told. Makes you wonder why I'm in a legal guild huh?" the weasel snickered before striking at the feline. This was a harder battle for the yokai, but not to much so since it was quickly over.
They struck each other's weapons multiple times, but since Itazura was dual technically dual wielding he could get more attacks on her. Giving her a few cuts on the face and chest, and with a foul swoop he struck at her throat and she did the same. But being more experienced in battle, he was able to dodge it for the most part, only getting a slight cut. While she wasn’t so lucky, getting stabbed right through the throat easily downed her. Leaving her to choke on her own blood the weasel retracted his claws and turned over to where the merchant was hiding. ”Shall we get going?” the kamaitachi asked with a snicker, proceeding to lick the remaining blood from his hands. The Joya looked up at him in fear, realizing that he was quite the monster, and very thankful that he was on his side.
