A knight's reason to fight. - DMC versus Soleice ! (spectators are allowed)

It was a cool day. The refreshing breeze blew so calm it was almost deceiving. The distant singing of birds could be heard, as if providing a calming ambience to mask what was to come. Indeed, it was a pleasant day, and Aegis would probably be taking advantage of it's relaxing air ... but on that particular day, there was something other on his mind.

Walking into the familiar arena, the cyan knight had his mind set on just one thing - his opponent. Not even paying attention if there was anyone spectating, Aegis recreated Fervour in his right hand as he reached the centre of the arena, still dotted with the ruins which he was already getting familiar with.
His eyes blazing with determination Aegis called out to his foe.
"Minato!"

Minato observed Aegis's movements into the arena from a vantage point. It would seem that this was a death or redemption battle that Aegis had challenged Minato to. Smiling at the young knight's resolve to beat him, Minato couldn't help but admire his bravery in the face of certain death. He had not brought Kinana along to this battle, as it was a challenge that he had to face alone. Without futher adue, he opened by throwing a kunai at Aegis.

As soon as the blue knight entered his range, Minato, standing on top of a pillar, launched a kunai aimed at his upper body. Smirking at the gift he was being given, the knight started to run towards the pillar, catching the small blade with his left hand as it flew towards his face and holding it in a reverse grip.

Considering the small distance between Aegis and his destination, it barely took a moment for him to reach it. Using his momentum, the knight ran by it and cleanly sliced it, after which he dug his heels into the ground and, sliding to a halt next to the pillar, jumped and struck it with a strong roundhouse kick, throwing it off balance and making it fall.
He wasn't planning on letting his enemy keep the higher ground.
