- Job: The Hunt!
Rank: A-Rank
Player Requirements: Minimum 2 Players. 30 posts minimum, 400 words per post.
Requirements: Find a Boss after 20 dice rolls. Do not kill the creature. Capture it before it leaves the forest. Do not let it out of your sight for more than 5 posts.
Location: Phoenix Mountain
Description: You are on the hunt for a rare creature that is said to possess healing properties that a dying man requires. He is willing to pay a lot of jewels for you to bring the creature back! Though the creature is incredibly hard to find, and has been able to vanish without a trace from its pursuers.
Enemies:
Boss: Houyhnhnm- A white and green horse that releases a pollen from its coat that heals and revitalizes anything that takes it into their system. It does not fight; but never appears in the same location twice. It is a very peaceful creature and beyond easy to frighten. Once spooked, its speed is beyond that of other horses in the woods, able to weave through trees easier than a primate in the branches. Once it feels it is safe after being scared it will surround itself in the pollen and vanish in a clove of flowers to teleport itself to the next forest in need. However, it cannot survive long outside of the forests as its power drains quickly in direct sun or moon light. (Rank: N/A; Non-combat)
Strong: Great Boar- A mammoth sized boar that comes second to that of the ancient Boar God. Its tusks sharp enough to impale steel armor and a head strong enough to knock over small trees without stopping. - 12 A ranks to bring down
Charge: It is the ability boars, among other animals, are quite proficient at- running head first into things. Problem is that they also have frightening strength and can run at almost 100 kph, not to mention the tusks. Getting hit can be very lethal. The boar does it once every 4 posts. (Rank: B)
Normal: Timber Wolf- A normal sized wolf that hunts in a pack of five. They normally do not hunt poachers or hunters but will stalk them and protect their territory and cubs when they are threatened. - 3 A ranks to bring down
Howl for Help: If the wolves don't get defeated within 6 posts, they would let out a mighty howl and call for aid. (5 more wolves would appear. Rank: C)
Weak: Fairy- though they are harmless they do control the forest to protect the healer as it is in the area. They will do whatever they can to slow down those tracking the horse in order to ensure its safety. They are masters at manipulating nature environment like roots, vines, and branches. (Rank: D-B; obstacle) - 3 A ranks to bring down
Prize: 35,000 Jewels
Was it the red ones? Or was it the blue ones..? Kiru could barley remember. She would be staring down at a small grouping of intricately designed flowers, all blooming in different hues. However, he interest was set on only two to be specific. Well, actually only one, but she couldn't remember which one that would be. It was either the red or the blue flowers. It had to be! Kiru had come too far in her experiments to give up now. Of course, that would all depend on weather or not the twin haired mage could even remember the type of flower she needed to complete them. It was an utter shame she didn't bring her notes with her, otherwise she wouldn't be stuck in this position. But of course, Kiru wasn't standing around the in Phoenix mountain range just to pick flowers. So she wasn't expecting to come across a patch of flowers in a magical forest that could be her research's saving grace. The idea was simple really. Kiru was a healer, and with the use of her magic it usually came in handy. However, there were times where she couldn't always be around the injured back at her guild, so more often then not, healing processes for patients would take significantly longer until Kiru returned from whatever job she was on. This experiment would hopefully fix that issue. Kiru just needed to gather certain items with already known healing factors, and combine them with her magic to increase their properties. The last item on her list was a flower... And it had to be either the red or the blue one!
Truth be told, the real reason as to why Kiru hadn't brought her notes was because she was here on business. Just another job. Apparently some rich noble was teetering on the edge of death, but there was a special animal in this forest, that if captured, could heal his sickness. Was it coincidence that brought Kiru to this job when she was close to completing her ultimate specialty? Not really, the demon slayer hoped she could grab a sample from this animal when the job was completed, but of course that would require her to catch the monster first. According to the information she was given, this beast was said to be extremely fast. Hopefully Kiru and whoever her soon to be partner was could easily come up with a strategy to catch the beast.
Of course, Kiru wasn't going alone. Her employer had informed the girl that they'd send another to accompany her on this mission, figuring it could probably be done a lot easier, and twice as fast with two mages rather then one. After all, time was crucial now, for their employer's life anyways. If they couldn't find the animal in time, then he could very well die. His sickness was too far spread now for any of Kiru's healing magic to work. So she would wait near the edge of the forest for her partner to arrive. Hoping they wouldn't be long. If they did however, Kiru would go it alone.
