Kenna, otherwise not the one to consciously rush into things, made a run for the large room Mashyuu had entered before her when seeing the God Slayer being tackled by a large horned bipedal beast. It was already too late to step back and heed Mashyuu’s warning when running through the large doors, and stared up on the beast that engaged into combat with the Earth master, while the Etherborn herself turned to watch a large, 11 feet minotaur looming over her with its bulky body and flaring mace held strongly within its hands. Yes hands, not hooves. It still wore the fur that bulls have as were its horns, ornated with patterns and the long tangled white hair that grew between it, while the overall appearance of the minotaur was indeed more humane. Its muscular growth looked dense and the visible veins showed that they weren't just for show. Its armor, shield and flaming mace made it look battle-ready, while the minotaur’s snorting and hot air it breathed into her face only strengthened that belief. The raven-haired maiden swallowed a lump, but instead of stepping back remained stationary and stared right back into those black beady eyes. For some reason she felt excited to face this beast, whereas any other sane person would rather avoid it at all cost.
She eyed the beast, who closed the distance between their faces on its turn, and grinned deviously as her hand retracted, clenching into a fist which she propelled straight into the minotaur’s chin, sending it flying back from whence it came. Kenna’s eyes flickered before lighting up completely, radiating in a golden hue as her magical aura spread across her body and enveloped her in a similar golden color; her voice seemed amused as she spoke, and sounded like multiple voices spoke at once. ”Let the games begin, my little minotaurus….” The beast slammed into a nearby wall but quickly got back on its feet, letting an enticing roar escape its body as its hooves dragged across the tiled floor. It dashed at her with a speed far greater than she’d expected from the unwielding beast, its head bend over and horns ready to impale whomever stood in its way. The Etherborn chuckled as she invoked her Etherborn buffs, which flared the golden aura around her with blue, purple and black sparks. Her mind projected the same buffs upon her allies, as they too got engulfed in an aura that corresponded in color with the magic that was theirs. She could feel how her veins tensed and her body felt stronger, yet lighter as well, the power gushing through her blood like crazy as she reached out her hand for the incoming humanoid bull… and stopped its momentum just like that. The minotaur seemed surprised as well when a mere finger tapped its forehead, but felt the magic that that surged behind it clearly, and shuddered for the moment it burst into cheer malice and killing intent. ”Oro Kara.”Were the only words that could be heard in a moment of utter silence, after which the aura around her hand exploded with a huge blast, sending the beast flying once again, and crashing down into the floor five meters further, confused and even more enraged than it was before. Approaching the minotaur, which was still scrambling back unto its feet, the raven-haired maiden smiled eerily as her eyes flickered shortly, having the pupils retract and elongate for a single second before returning back to normal. ”You’re a fool, my little minotaurus... to try and attack my vessel so eagerly without realising who you’re dealing with.” Akhator chuckled as he spoke through Kenna’s demonized multitude of voices. Kenna on her turn clenched her fist, not bothered by the fact her voice wasn’t hers to control just yet, and rose it in a nonchalant way with a grin plastered upon her face. After his silence, hearing the god’s synced soul actually using her body got her excited beyond measure, sending more and more adrenaline rushing through her veins. It was a fun side-effect of being his vessel, and was very enjoyable during a fight, where she could use his pressure to intimidate her opponents… she felt Akhator enjoyed it too. Their synchronised being was not like aby others; not unlike slayers, yet went far deeper than the connection God slayers had with their respective gods. Odd symbols, runes of a long-lost civilization, marked her arm, circling around the entire lower portion of her arm, creeping over her skin both clockwise and counter-clockwise. The sudden bloodthirst that accompanied it fueled her strength even more, and she lunged at the bipedal bull as accurately as she could, her fist connecting with the huge beast’s chest. The sickening crack of bones breaking underneath her corrupted Barbardium fist’s raw force, accompanied with the once sturdy bones and armor bending to her fist’s very whim noted its pure destructive force. The beast’s body hung over her raised arm, slumped and weakly as its back heaved for oxygen. But the damage didn't seem to last for long, as it fueled its own rage as well… and all knew not to mess with a raging bull. Even Kenna did. With a random push the Etherborn made space between her opponent and herself, staring down at it as she could feel the warm sensation of blood dripping down her arm as the runes faded. Whether this was her own blood or that of the minotaur, she cared not, but the slightly stinging pain in her hand noted it’d probably be a mixture of both. Another bloodthirsty howl tore through the entire room, making the Etherborn cringe long enough to get shieldbashed and blown off her feet. She smacked down hard, her head bouncing off against the tiled floor before she could do a backward roll to end up back on her feet, be it wobbly and with a rather hazy gaze. The flaring mace was the only thing she could truly make out inbetween the blurs her eyes allowed her to see, and the horrible pounding headache lead her focus astray. The wonderful sync she’d had with Akhator just moments ago too had been severed, leaving her with a rather nasty aftertaste regarding the minotaur, who just like her seemed a lot less certain of its case. Both opponents stared each other down menacingly, each wondering what the other would do, and pondering what they were to do next.
The time that had gone over these events were no longer than a minute or two, five at most, and Kenna circled around the minotaur while calling out for Imai to not interfere just yet… because she knew rather well what she was to do next. She summoned Antares to her side, and it came to her in blazing flames, taking form within her palm as a beautiful 3 feet sword. It vibrated with fighting intent for its wielder, approving of her current ways. Both Kenna and the minotaur eyed one another a final time, with the raven-haired maiden wiping a trickle of blood off her lip. ”Bring it… “ She thought, and at the exact same time both her body and the minotaur’s pushed themselves off for a head-on clash; metal against metal as Antares connected with the fiery mace, embers sparking off as they clung into each other. Hit after hit, both the Etherborn and the minotaur being forced back on their respective turns, all until the minotaur banged his shield into her face yet again. Kenna gritted her teeth in agitation and dodged the incoming mace, side-stepped underneath his arm and rose her sword with two hands when she faced the back of his shoulder. A flaring boost of energy engulfed the sword’s blade as she spoke a single word and cut clean through the armor, chainmail, skin and bone of the enormous beast. ”Sever.” The limb dropped to the floor with a dull thump, its blood already painting the tiles in crimson hue as it roared in cringing pain and grasped at the profoundly bleeding wound. The Etherborn snorted and side-rolled to dodge an angry lunge with the edge of the shield, jumped back once out of reach and sheathed the bloodied blade at her side. Raging eyes glared into her still-glowing golden pupils, who on their turn stared down [[minachtend]] at the weakened beast. It could no longer hold that flaring mace of his, giving her the upperhand already… Kenna stretched her right arm, the flaring ethereal element engulfing her lower arm like a beaming sword of light that was more like an extention of her limb than an actual weapon. Her arm rose once more, bend before her chest as she eyed the minotaur a final time, ready to give it the finishing strike. ”Your time has come, Minotaurus... enjoy the Afterlife--- Itoryu!” The arm rose up straight to the sky, beaming with energy as the Etherborn dashed forward, her raven-colored hair floating behind her like a black see; ”Shishi Sonson!” Her lunge was meant for the right angle, and her slash to seperate its head from its shoulders, but the actual impact missed as the minotaur slumped to one knee, losing his remaining arm to the attack. The minotaur had calculated this into its plan, was prepared for the sacrifice of his remaining arm as Kenna’s side and back were now left enterly unprotected. Its head flung forward with a raging groan, the horns aiming to inflict lethal damage. She turned, lifting her leg and felt the blood of her lineage soaring through her veins; she jumped, planted her foot inbetween the horns and pushed herself off its head with all the strength she could muster, catapulting herself into the air towards the pillar in the middle of the room, using the power of her the ultimate speed to overthrow the minotaur’s resolve. Kenna backflipped and unsheathed Antares in mid-air, jamming it into the stone pillar several meters above the ground, and used it as leverage to stay out of reach while watching down at the fights beneath her. ”Imai, you’re up!” She shouted at her teammate, while searching for Mashyuu’s presence in the room. Her magic was already severely drained, so all she could do was hang there till the fighting was over...
