Mashyuu in: Demolition Man!

Job Details:

A small sandstorm kicked up in the city, and flowed through town ending at the arena in the middle of Crocus. Home to the Grand Magic Games, honestly one of the bigger towns Mashyuu ever visited. The sand storm compressed on itself and formed into the Earth Wizard, Itsu at his side. Both Sabertooth Wizards looked around the empty arena and moved to a bench to sit and go over the plan. "Okay, we left the guild hall really fast this time. Tell me again, what is the job?" Itsu asked while casually spinning her dagger around between her fingers. Mashyuu watched the woman flip the weapon around and sighed. "Fine, but pay attention this time. There is mad bomber here. He has been working in the mines but nobody that the Rune Knights have sent came back alive so they are outsourcing to Wizards. With their numbers dwindling they don't have the man power to devote to finding this guy. They don't care if he comes back alive or dead so we are free to use whatver means we need. I'd like to bring him back alive though since we get paid more for a living body." Mashyuu explained. He pulled out the job notice and flipped it over to show the back of the page, blank. "I already swept the area with my earth sense and all the tunnels lead here in some way, I'm willing to bet that this guy is hiding out under the arena. Our best chance of finding him is to start here and move in a circular pattern outwards or start at the edge of the arena and work in." Mashyuu reasoned, speaking to explain things to Itsu but mostly make sure his plan sounded the way it did in his head when he thought it up. "What if this guy isn't alone?" Itsu asked. "They never are. We will just have to be careful and use our magic as best as we can. Besides if anything comes lose down there I can always use my geokenisis to repair the tunnels." This seemed to put Itsu at ease as she stopped spinning her dagger and placed it against her palm, wrapping the cable around her wrist for easy use. "Okay, lets go." Itsu sprang up on her bare feet and smiled wide. Mashyuu laughed and stood up, his hand patted Itsu's shoulder and he smiled wide at her. "Yup, lets get this done."

'Monster Dice' :

The team found themselves standing outside of the arena where a hidden set of stairs led down under the earth. It wasn't hard to see that the tunnel was used to get around fast for workers of the arena. But when the arena wasn't used often the place could be used as a lair if someone was smart enough to not draw attention to themselves. Mashyuu blinked a few times and let his night vision kick in. He moved down the stone steps and into the large tunnels, leaving the light of day behind the pair. Mashyuu pointed at the sliding door and motioned for Itsu to shut it behind them just to be safe. With a great heave, Itsu grabbed a strap and pulled, sliding the door shut. "Mashyuu, I can't see." Itsu complained. "Itsu, stop complaining. Just give me a minute." Mashyuu snapped. He could never understand why people couldn't wait for a moment or so to get things done right. Mashyuu reached out and grabbed a torch from the wall and pulled it down. Almost lazily he shoved his hand into the pocket of his brown pants and pulled out a single strike match. As he ran it against the wall it flickered to life. A moment later he was handing Itsu a torch that danced with fire. She smiled at Mashyuu and placed the torch in her left hand. The tunnel the two stood in was long, wide and some might even mistake it as a long house it was so spacious. Clearly this was something that was once meant for leading monsters and fighters through the arena without bothering innocents. Now it wasn't clear what the tunnels were used for.

Itsu trailed behind Mashyuu while the two walked, giving him plenty of space to move in case something happened and he needed to act fast. Mashyuu stalked the tunnel, his left hand rested on the hilt of his blade, ready to draw it up at a moments notice while his ever vigilant eyes glanced about the room to make sure that nothing was coming their way. Surprisingly it was Itsu who noticed the first sign of trouble. She grabbed Mashyuu's shoulder and pulled him backwards while pointing to the ground. "You're dark vision didn't pick it up, but the torch let light bounce off a piece of metal, look." She pointed some twenty meters down the hall and Mashyuu noticed a large mine field blocking off their path. "Ughh, shame I can't be a fire slayer too eh?" Mashyuu laughed and sighed. He could easily get across half of that but not the other half with his magic, and Itsu wouldn't be able to pass either. They needed to figure out a way across without getting caught in an explosion. Mashyuu and Itsu found themselves sitting on the ground, going over their options when suddenly Mashyuu's ears twitched. a lot of something small was coming their way.

Mashyuu sprang up to his feet, his left hand extended and a bow appeared in his palm while he took aim down the hall back the way the two came. His dark vision allowed him to see a swarm of small spiders sprinting at him. Mashyuu pulled back his bow, sensing the magical power in them and whispered. "Hail of Arrows." He released his bowstring and from the web like bow he held a volley of small but powerful arrows slammed into the spiders, causing them to explode. That was it, Mashyuu knew what to do. "Itsu, I have a plan, but it is going to require your magic, not mine..."

Itsu glared at Mashyuu, she didn't like the idea at all but it was better than nothing. Mashyuu held Itsu's torch and sat on a chair of stone he had made out of the side of the wall, slightly off the ground so that his feet were about a foot up. Itsu stood at the ready, her magic already flared up and activated. As more spiders drew near Mashyuu nodded at Itsu. "GO!" Itsu took off in a break neck sprint and vanished, appearing for only a half moment before she vanished again, the spiders behind her set off the mines and Itsu teleported back to where she came from. The tunnel rattled and before more spiders could come, Mashyuu used his geokinesisis to pull a wall down to block off the tunnel. "Looks like we aren't getting out that way." Mashyuu joked while Itsu glared at the man again for putting her in danger. She reached out and snatched the torch out of his hands. "Mashyuu, you're lucky that went as smooth as you said it would!"

Mashyuu and Itsu walked down the hall, and rounded a corner that led to a massive circular room. In the center of it were three men with bags tied to their waist hanging off their belts and a massive man all leaned over a table and going over some sort of plan. The larger man looked up at the two Wizards and smiled wide. "Well look here boys, we have ourselves some real wizards this time, not just another Rune Knight. Lets show em what happens to people who get in the middle of our affairs." The leader said and opened his palms, causing small explosions to go off in his palms.

The Sabertooth Wizards took a fighting stance and prepared for battle. "Itsu..." "I got the three with the bags, just worry about the leader, and Mashyuu... Try not to kill him." Mashyuu grinned at her and thought for a moment. "Ya know, we have been walking these halls for about an hour. I bet the sun is down at this point." Itsu couldn't help but crack a smile and nod. "You're right." She drew her dagger and pointed it at the three men. "Rise, Hewy, Dewy, and Luey!" Itsu commanded and as she finished speaking the dagger emitted a dark red glow and before her three skeletal soldiers sprouted from the ground and raised lethal looking great swords in their bony hands. "Defeat the men with bags, don't hold back!" Itsu ordered her undead fighters. The skeletons cackled manically for a moment then dashed straight at the men, ready to fight.

Mashyuu sprang to action, drew his blade and jumped up onto the table to face the apparent leader of the gang while the other three men charged Itsu and her Skeleton soldiers. Hewy Dewy and Luey all moved at the same time, each using a different fighting style but working in unison against the three men. All three men started the battle by reaching into their bags and pulling quick strike sticks of explosives out. In a single fluid motion they tossed the sticks to try to destroy the skeletons. The skeletons didn't stop moving, instead Dewy waved his blade in the air and cut the tops of each stick off, destroying the fuses before the weapons could detonate. Itsu cheered her fighters on. So far they had done nothing but impress her, going as far as to save her life more than once and follow her commands as best as she could expect from creatures with no real brains.

Hewy and Luey ducked under Dewy's sword and stabbed out, the tips of their blades barely missing two of the three men as they jumped backwards, however the man in the middle didn't have the same reaction speed and found two swords cutting across his outer thighs when the metal blades of their swords whipped back and over him on the Skeleton's back swings. As the two finished their first set of attacks they rolled to opposite sides to gain distance on the men who were drawing more explosives from their bags. The bomber in the middle fell to his knees and was about to feel the blade of Dewy when Itsu shouted. "Ghost Touch!" She fired a blast of energy out from her mouth, hitting all three men in the process and knocking them back. The knock back caused their dynamite to waver and sail across the room, exploding harmlessly away from the skeletons.

Together the team seemed to be working very well, gelling like a well oiled machine. Hewy Dewy and Luey all pulled their blades to point at their foes while being level with their heads and the three Skeletons charged. This forced the three bombers to once again move as quick as they could in order to back up and avoid having their necks slashed by wicked blades. Itsu took the chance to teleport between all three men and lash out, spreading almost like a group of flowers as a fist connected with the back of two mens skulls and her foot slammed into the last man's spine, leaving her to balance on one leg before she vanished again.

Dazed, each of the bombers decided to take a hit for the team, and pulled their sticks of dynamite out of the bag and lit them but didn't move or try to attack as the three skeletons charged again. This time they let the explosives go off in their hands, and at the same time the three fighters began the swings of their weapons. The explosions caught the monsters and sent them rattling to the floor defeated. "Hell.." Itsu cursed as she realized that she would have to deal with the three men herself. Before the smoke cleared she launched her dagger from her palm, grasped the end of the cord and felt the blade sink into someones flesh.

Without so much as a warning she yanked back hard, pulling a man from the smoke out by his shoulder and jumped up, allowing Itsu to drive her bare foot into the mans jaw. The force of the blow let Itsu pull her blade out of her foes shoulder and caught it in her hand as she landed on both feet. "Phantom Speed: Dance of the dead." She whispered. In a blink of light she vanished and appeared behind the man she had just kicked, yanked the strap of his bag hard and ripped it, causing his explosives to tumble to the floor. By the time he turned to strike she was already between his two friends, doing the same to their bags. Again she vanished and appeared before the first man she attacked, driving her open palm into his wounded shoulder while her bare leg caught him in the gut, doubling the man over in pain. As he fell to his knees Itsu smiled down at him and slammed the skull of her headgear into the mans face, knocking him out cold. "Not so bad." She joked and glanced at the other two men who were scrambling to grab some explosives.

"Naughty, naughty." Itsu scolded the two and raced to engage them. With a flick of her wrist the dagger launched out of her palm again and swung around to wrap around a mans throat. Itsu used the mans weight to jump and swing on her rope, pulling the man while she crashed into the other. All three fighters fell to the floor in a heap. Itsu pulled her arm up and shouted. "Ghost touch!" Her arm slammed down into the chest of the man she had just crashed into, driving the air from his lungs and knocked him out cold.

By the time the last man managed to get his neck untied Itsu was standing behind him with three explosive sticks lit in her hand. She grinned and dropped the explosives then teleported away with her dagger, leaving him to his fate, injured, battered and nearly dead. But he would indeed survive.

'Damage Dice' :

Springing up through the air, Mashyuu flipped on the table and lashed out at the man, attempting to end the battle with his blade before it could ever start. The Wizard countered by causing a small series of explosions to go off around him, the force of the explosions pushed Mashyuu's blade back enough to deflect the brilliant energy weapon. Suddenly the leg of the table Mashyuu stood on blew up, dropping Mashyuu down on his back with a loud thud. Mashyuu could see the man about to cast another spell and countered by changing to sand and moving away. A massive explosion went off where Mashyuu had just been laying. He re appeared next to the man, bringing his forearm up to connect with the Wizards neck. The gang leader grabbed his throat and moved back a series of steps rapidly then twisted on his heel and pointed at Mashyuu. "Bang Bang!" He shouted. Two small dots appeared on Mashyuu's chest and blew up, causing Mashyuu to wince as smoke rose off his body.

Mashyuu winced while lifting his sword and shouted. "Kings Cleave!" The Earth Wizard brought his blade down and hit the Explosive Wizard with a force of pure energy. As the Explosive Wizard started to recover from the strike he saw A second light appear behind Mashyuu. "Kings Charge!" He shouted. Mashyuu's weapon launched him forward at his foe and the Explosion Wizard grinned. He took a half step back to brace himself and ducked just before Mashyuu's sword could send a shock wave out to strike. The Wizard grabbed Mashyuu's blade and shouted. "Chain Reaction!" The result caused a blast to ripple from Mashyuu's sword and send the Earth Wizard sailing through the air and into a wall hard enough to crack it.

The man started to laugh and went to lift Mashyuu's sword, but was shocked to see it couldn't be budged by a mere mortal. This gave the Earth Wizard the opening he needed. "Earth Gods Combo: Part One!" He called out while pushing his hand forward, sending three pillars of stone rocketing into the mans groin. He howled in pain and fell to his knees while Mashyuu shouted again. "Earth Gods Combo: Part Two!" The ground opened under the man and swallowed him neck deep, slowly constricting around the foe. The Wizard struggled to break free while Mashyuu stood up and cracked his neck then drew power from the earth itself, healing his wounds somewhat. Just as Mashyuu's spell ended he whispered. "Earth Gods Sand Armor." Dirt and sand crawled up Mashyuu's body, forming a protective second layer around him. It wouldn't block much but it was always intended as a sneak attack sort of spell to begin with.

The ground spit the man out, slightly mangled but clearly not that much worse for ware. He pulled himself up and snarled at Mashyuu. "Explosive field!" He called out. Mashyuu jumped back and opened his mouth, wondering if his plan would work. He inhaled, sucked up the light from the Wizards explosion and felt his magical power recover a good deal. Mashyuu landed and started to laugh. "OH man! That was fantastic!" All he had to do was avoid the mans attacks and inhale. He couldn't absorb the fire but the light that came with it was enough to fuel his magical reserves. It felt good to know that if was good enough to avoid some attacks he could get his power back.

Just as Mashyuu was starting to feel confident in his task the man waved his hand and a swarm of spiders launched themselves at the Wizard. Mashyuu darted around, trying to get the group to draw around the Earth Wizard as tightly as possible. The swarm started to crawl up Mashyuu and exploded, however Mashyuu's armor blew up, launching all the spiders through the air harmlessly.

Mashyuu and the bomber Mage stood apart, taking deep breaths of air, Mashyuu still had a few tricks up his sleeve that the man didn't need to know about right away. The explosion Wizard pulled his hands back and threw them forward. His fingers formed a fist and he called out. "Explosive End!" Mashyuu watched as blasts went off all around him, circling in and trapping the Wizard. "Earth Gods Stone Armor!" Mashyuu shouted. The stone floor around him sprang up and slammed onto his body all while Mashyuu inhaled the light that the explosions caused. The blast knocked Mashyuu off his feet but his armor barely kept him from being harmed any more. As the smoke from the blasts cleared Mashyuu was already standing and this time a flare of gold and red light whirled around his body as his dual slayer forces merged and exploded with power. This was the first time his god and dragon slayer powers had merged in harmony and the rush he felt was amazing. It was as if he could do anything. Mashyuu lifted his palm and took aim at the man causing explosions.

"Light Dragons Holy Shower." He commanded. From his palm a flurry of hard light rocketed out and slammed into the explosive Wizard. As he recoiled Mashyuu pointed his palms at the floor. "Earth Gods Extension." Mashyuu ordered. Two stones floated up in front of his hands and in a flash he raced forward. The Earth Wizard stopped half a foot away from the man and drove the boulders into the Wizards gut and face, the magical effect of the stone launched the explosion wizard backwards and into a near by wall. The man fell to a knee, dazed from the sudden flurry of attacks, but it wasn't over yet. Mashyuu had plenty of fight left in him. "Earth Gods Combo: Part One!" From behind the Wizard, three pillars slammed into the mans back and the back of his head, knocking him to the ground. His palms reached down to push himself back up when Mashyuu unleashed another spell. "Earth Gods Combo: Part Two." The earth split and swallowed the man whole, effectively chewing the wizard and causing a great deal of pain.

"Time to finish this.." Mashyuu casually walked to Itsu's side and took an archers stance. His bow appeared in his palm while he conjured a massive arrow. He pulled back and aimed down where the man would be released from the ground. Power swirled around the Earth Wizard and he smiled, the magic radiating off of him was so pleasant to the man. The ground ejected the Explosion Wizard who staggered to his feet on shaky legs. "God Shot: Sniper Elite." He unleashed his arrow and watched it soar. The explosion wizard turned and ran out the door behind him, slamming it shut. The arrow however didn't stop and ripped through the door and the mans chest, killing him on the spot. A loud thump echoed in the room and both Sabertooth Wizards winced with the sound. "I think you got him Mashyuu." Itsu said. "Well if he didn't run it wouldn't have killed him. Come on, lets get our reward." Mashyuu replied and headed for the body...
