Rank: D Rank
Player Requirements: Any Rank
Job Requirements: 500 words per player
Job Location: Neutral Grounds
Job Description: A brand new device called the iLac has come out and the manufacturer is giving them away to anyone who visits the factory in Neutral Ground. Keep in mind, as soon as you step foot on Neutral Ground territory, all your magic (Primary, Secondary, Weapons, Armour, Pets, Unique Abilities, Passive Effects) is instantly shut down. But that's no problem because all you're doing is picking up your brand new iLac.
Reward: 1x iLac for everyone
iLac is a lacrima that functions like our real world cell phones. It can access lacrima-net, but CANNOT grant the user access to OOC information on other players. It can grant the user the ability to contact any other player who also owns an iLac providing that other player gave the caller their Lacrima Identification Code (phone number). The iLac also has a calendar, calculator, HP and MP tracker, stopwatch, alarm, and any other fun applications (that do not permit your character to know OOC information on another character) you can think of. It also has a Sorcerer's Weekly app installed.
The Neutral ground, a place feared by even the strongest of mages for this place had the unique property to render any type of magic useless and nullify them without any sign of ignition. It was a property studied by many and some in the past have even attempted to weaponize that very nature. But alas, they all failed, and the mystery kept in tact. Preparing to set foot onto these mysterious grounds was a mage who deemed himself the best, the creme de la creme, cream of the crop. His enemies were many, his equals were none. Or at least, so he thought whilst living in his own pretentious world. In all reality the man possessed no magic at all, and it was through the wits of his alter ego he was capable of making up the guise that he actually possessed magic. How he fooled a guildmaster into letting him join a mages guild with that act still remained a mystery to both of them. Maybe she knew but tolerated him, but Strange was not about to let his focus dwindle with that thought. After all, they were here to try out the newest gadget in the field of technology. Something that could further advance his possible exploits through means of instant communication in a pocket sized device! That was something only available to those who owned the appropriate magic in the past and was a clear sign that the ages were shifting into a second gear. It meant something positive for the likes of the Strange Horatio duet.
Horatio, still being in control of Strange's body in 90% of all situations because of his anxiety, set his first step onto the neutral grounds, and half expected the earth to crumble and the sky to shatter, for after all the strongest mage around was just nullified. Something that was sure to rip apart the space time continuum. Yet it did not, and he was able to cheerfully trot onto the neutral grounds, towards the research and development area and get his very own Ilec. Oh, the exploits he was planning to do with this! It was perfect for someone quite like him. The woman behind the counter looked at him with a bit of a surprise. She was used to seeing droopy faces of people feeling uncomfortable that their power source had been cut off by the surroundings. But instead in front of her was a merry dandy man with a big grin and twinkling eyes. She couldn't help but dial security just to make sure this man didn't have any mischievous intent! But after confirming the man was indeed a legal mage, registered with the famous guild Black Rose, she let out a sigh of relief and rewarded the man with what he was looking for. The device was indeed the size of a pocket watch, and featured a green lacrima in the middle. Using his fingers and through a means resembling modern day touch screen he was capable of navigating the features. Upon reaching the empty page of Ilac Identification Codes he let out a slight chuckle. Soon enough this thing would be unable to hold all the codes, after all, who doesn't want to be in contact with the most prominent mage to have ever walked fiore and casts his spells upon the ever so weary world!
