Personality: Kiel is normally a nice, helpful person, and cares about the people he loves, and even some of the people he doesn't. He's very protective of his friends, and will politely, then, if they're being overly stubborn, less politely, tell off anybody that bothers them. Kiel is normally quite a bit on the secretive side, he likes to keep what he does to himself, so nobody knows what he does in his room with all of those old, dusty books with the exception of a few specific people - and the people that were able to guess by his actions. Often times, he's in his room, reading a very thick, old, leather-bound book full of stories about powerful, long dead Mages. Kiel likes to read various things (everything from humongous novels to history books), but he mostly reads books about the great Mages of the past and studies their styles to try and improve his own (Which worked very well, I might add). The reason Kiel decided to become a mage in the first place is to be able to protect the ones he loves, because, at a time, he couldn't, and somebody he loved dearly was taken from him by a Dark Mage. It takes Kiel a while to fully trust people, as he has been betrayed many times before, and on first meeting somebody, he's immediately suspicious of them. But once you get to know him, he's a warm, loving boy, despite his past.
In battle, Kiel is more of a leader type. When he's giving the orders, it's like he's practically a whole different person. His commands are very strong and decisive, and his followers trust him with their lives. Kiel's strategies are often capable of throwing the opposition out similarly to the way you throw a gum wrapper you find in your pocket after you wash your pants out: quickly and effortlessly. Kiel's long, studies have shown him the battle style of many successful Mages, and he has fused them all together to make his own brilliant, nearly perfect style of battle. Under the command of another Mage, Kiel performs almost as beautifully, following most of his leader's commands "down to the finest detail", but sometimes he adds in his own little flair, which sometimes helps quite a bit and sometimes does the exact opposite. He's also quite stubborn in some cases, seeing anything he thinks is wrong as something that IS wrong. So, maybe you could change that battle under command rating from excellent to barely passable. But he still takes orders very well compared to some other Mages of his age. In solo battle, Kiel is, in all honesty, often at an extreme disadvantage. He had an exceedingly large amount of firepower, but has very little in the way of body mass, and what body mass he does have won't do much to defend him, so he has to rely on the shadows only to keep him safe. He works best in a group of people he has known for a long time and trusts well.
Likes:
- Kiel loves animals, there was a small pet shop near his house he always used to visit, in fact, it's where he got his pet lizard Alfis.
- Kiel also, humorously, likes meat. His response as to questions about these two conflicting things are, "Well, if somebody killed these animals, and meant for somebody to eat them, then I'm not gonna let them have died for nothing!"
- Kiel also has a great love of

Hoodies.
He just thinks they're warm and comfy, and doesn't understand why other mages go around with practically nothing on. You will never find him without a hoodie on. Ever.
Dislikes:
- Annoying people. I mean, annoying people are pretty annoying, but even more so to Kiel.
- Cheesecake. Kiel has a deep dislike of cheesecake, for no apparent reason. It just tastes nasty to him.

Kiel does not at all like romance novels. He finds them stupid. That's it. He just looks at a romance novel and thinks "Stupid".

The person he loved more than anyone on earth, his best friend, was killed by a dark mage for protecting her father from him. He feels that this is his fault for not protecting her, and strives to become one of the best mages in history so that he can protect anyone who is in danger, and to keep what happened from ever happening to anyone he loves again.
- Kiel is human. He wants a little fame, a little popularity. Who doesn't?
- Kiel is extremely driven by his love of meeting new people. Kiel, while untrusting, loves to find new personalities to study the causes and effects of. He finds being a mage a very good way to meet new people, and therefore find new personalities.
Fears:
- Kiel has a fear of lightning. He always thinks that a stray bolt will come and hit him. Whenever there's a lightning storm, he shrouds himself in a shield of shadows to keep him safe if such a thing does happen.
- Kiel always fears that somebody will betray him, because when he was a child, others often pretended to be his friends to use him for his magic.
- Kiel fears that, someday, what happened to his best friend will happen again to another person he loves.
