Re: Iceberg Inspection
Aiyana had heard the Magic Council was wanting people to check out Iceberg for them under the radar. While the guild master had no reason to help them out, having been called a simple object rather than a real person when trying to originally make her guild official with them as a legalized guild, the nine tailed fox could not turn down a free opportunity to scope out a country she had yet to be in. With a map given to her upon taking the job, the people she spoke to sure she would be fine with just the basics of what to do, the woman would make her way to the borders to look around.
The chill of the cold touched the plenty of bare skin she had on her from the moment she reached the borders, the woman realizing she should probably shift into a different form to keep herself comfortable as she roamed the borders and scouted out anything that could be deemed important to those she was going to be reporting back to. The form she decided on? That of an arctic wolf. It made sense to do so, given where she was currently at. There were known to be wolves in this part, so who would think to question a single roamer in the lands of ice and snow?
A majority of her time in the cold was spent running along the borders and acting as if she was out hunting for food. While she never caught anything, she did make chase to a few rabbits and a raven as she watched patrols of malnourished soldiers make their rounds. All that saw her were fearful, they were clearly too weak to deal with the slightest enemy to confront them as it was. It was not until she got just about ready to leave that she would hear a loud, pained, scream from just over a nearby hill. Curiosity getting the best of her, the woman would sprint over the hill and find herself on a grisly sight. A wolf had gotten to one of the malnourished man on patrol and had decided to make him their food for the next couple days. It was too late to save the man, and by the way the animals head snapped up to look at her it was also too late to try and sneak away quietly. The opposing wolf, as the woman did not wish to leave the form she was in and ruin her disguise, sprinted at what it believed was another trying to steal its food. While normally this would worry the woman, she had magic on her side. Shapeshifting did not stop her ability to use her spells, and a flare of light would shoot down to strike the area around her just before it could lunge at her. Even as the wolf confusedly got to its feet, baring teeth and growling as it did so, the woman would release what would be an intense bark. This bark would be the cosmic roar, a massive area around her suddenly erupting with the pain and suffering of the entire cosmos. That would be all the wolf could handle, passing out in the snow for who knew how long as Aiyana trotted away to tell what she had seen here while scouting.
