The evening shined down on the canyon walls as she walked down near the small ravine that was flowing by her. When she had first seen it she was very wary around it, but settled as she could see the width of it ahead and wasn't in danger of getting splashed on. A few days ago she would had walked barefoot on the shore of it, but that also meant she would be fishing around in a garbage can for leftovers. So much was different now for her, she felt a heck of a lot better and even looked better. Though she wasn't sure what happened with her, all she knew was that water now hurt her a lot and she could do things to people. She suppressed the shiver that threatened to surface on her skin at the memory, and continued walking. She was dressed in comfortable travel clothes with her bandana hanging from her neck, she wasn't too frightened about her whole face being seen here.
However she heard a faint rumbling, and looking around her and at the sky revealed dark clouds. She was surprised by this as she didn't see dark clouds before, Maybe the weather is weird around here... she thought, and the realization hit her. Thunder meant a storm, storms meant the chance for rain. Such a thing would had been a annoyance before, but now the thought of constant burning scared her. So she went from a walk to a run, rushing down the path near the ravine in hopes of finding some sort of shelter. She noticed that the further she got down, the wider the ravine became and feared she would be stuck in a hard spot. But fortune was with her, and she spotted a opening in the wall of the canyon. She looked into the mouth quickly before rushing in. It didn't look like anybody or thing lived in it, and it looked like water wouldn't reach the cave. So she hoped that was the truth and quickly ducked into its cover. She did find it odd of how a cave was here, but she didn't know how caves formed so she didn't give it a second thought and sat near the opening. She awaited the possibility of rain and thought of what to do if she was stuck there, she wasn't sure about waiting all night in the cave she was in.
