"You really think this one is gonna work huh?" Lir said to Mitsuki as they were on the road. Mitsuki was going to pick up a special promotional model of a device called an iLac and yet the real reason Mitsuki wanted to go was because the Neutral Grounds apparently canceled out all magic, so maybe it would rid her of Lir. Lir had been perceived this very fast, but had been rather skeptic about it. All other attempts Mitsuki tried to wink Lir out of her body had ended in a failure so far. But she hadn't been to this mystical place yet, so maybe she was in luck. Lir didn't believe it would work though.
After some time traveling they arrived in Neutral Grounds... and of course Lir had to take over her body just to show her she her stuff worked just fine. Even though she too couldn't summon anything herself either. Still that was another plan she could throw right with the other failures. Luckily Lir didn't taunt to much today, she was usually a lot meaner when one of Mitsuki's plans failed like that. Maybe it was because they had work to do.
the two arrived at the office without to much trouble. Just look for the big factory that was on the request before. As the young woman entered the building she went straight to the counter to ask for the iLac. Mitsuki was back in controle of her own body again.
"Excuse me, I am here for the Ilac." The young blonde woman said to the receptionist behind the counter. Who just took one small lacrima-like device from beneath the counter and handed it to Mitsuki.
'That's what we came here for?' Lir complained mentally. Sadly only Mitsuki could hear her. 'Yes, it's a lot more impressive then it looks like, you'll see.' Mitsuki countered. At least that seemed to shut her up for a while.
"Thank you, is that it?"Mitsuki asked if she could just take it like that. Any more though and she risked Lir trying to mess up the place. The damn demon could be a handful, but she certainly knew her way around a fight way better than Mitsuki. As long as Lir was there Mitsuki would fare well into a fight, but Mitsuki would prefer not to fight at all.
"Dear, if I had to let everyone who came here for that promotion sign and whatnot we'd be doing that all day." She said and with that she went back to work. Guess everyone was busy. Then again, it was nice they could just come and take it like that. With that, Mitsuki and Lir leaved the factory together.
'Stil can't believe we went here for a simple lacrima, also that it went so smoothly. Usually we have to fight something on a request... too bad.'' More internal complaining. 'Eh, can't always hit the jackpot. Would get too boring after a while.' Mitsuki tried to comfort her a little. Wait, why was she trying to do that? Anyway, they should try to head back to the guild and pick another job. Maybe do something else in the meantime? Who knew what Lir wanted to do when they get back? It wasn't really as much of a question what Mitsuki wanted to do, since if Lir said no there was nothing she could do against that.
'So, I'll guess we better head back then.' Mitsuki said at the city gate. It really did seem stupid to come here all the way for this, but who knew it could come in handy?
