Update (2/15/17):
Hello Players of FTRP,
The admins have selected the two trial moderators. Please congratulate Jiyu Kazehime and Julius Seas! It wasn't an easy decision between the administrators. But it came down to these two players and a couple others when we really thought about the activity they've displayed, the exemplary behavior and attitude, their willingness to better the community, and the time they've spent continuously on the site.
I know many of you have applied for the position as well. I'm pleased to say that I am very ecstatic that so many of you wish to help the community and the site as a whole. The job of a moderator isn't an easy task and you get a lot of stress and drama that comes with it. I hope those who applied will understand the individual reasons of why you weren't selected. However, do note that many of you have come close to becoming a trial moderator. Some of the administrators (me included) have concluded that we would like to see more of what you're currently capable of as a player. Feats such as activity, attitude, helpfulness, and the time you've invested on the site as a whole. We wish to give many of you another shot, so know that I (Seijin specifically) will be on the look out for a potential third candidate. Feel free to PM me (Seijin) a revised application and be sure to include the following questions/prompts along with the application you sent in.
1) Why you think you didn't get trial moderator?
2) What you can and will be willing to do in order to fix the reason.
3) How will you improve as a player to demonstrate your willingness to become a trial mod?
Additionally, I've assigned two specific moderators to handle the new trial moderators. This will be a test for not only Jiyu Kazehime and Julius Seas, but also a test for Izayuki and Salrynn. The administration team expects to see the senior moderators train the new moderators so that they can fulfill their fullest potential as new moderators of the staff team. We wish players to keep a more open mind for these new moderators and go directly to Izayuki for issues regarding Jiyu Kazehime and directly to Salrynn for issues regarding Julius Seas. If the issue is not resolved between the senior moderator and the player, please notify me directly.
I'm excited to say that I'm working on a new space expansion for the site. It will include a universe similar to Star Wars with factions and weapons very similar to the universe. This expansion will consume a lot of my time and may take a while to be released. I do plan on the release to be within this year and hopefully before summer. I am however traveling to Taiwan and Japan over summer and will be limited in my usage of the Internet along with delegating issues on site.
In other news, I am grateful for all submissions for the fanart contest. Whether you think your work looks amazing or looks like absolute garbage, know that your contribution brings me joy as it is not only a contest for players to gain unique rewards, but also a contest that showcases the activity and strength of the community.
I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day and I hope to see you all around in the chatbox or Discord.
Kind Regards,
Seijin
