The ace of spades, both a card and a wonderful place of intelligent design and architectural amazement. Home to none other than the sabertooth guild. However, what did this mean to Chloe? Nothing in the slightest as she wasn't heading for such factors, but rather heading there as one of her random 'just because' moments. Though, it was because of the 'just because' moments that landed Chloe in more odd predicaments, or strange encounters than what she normally intended. Perhaps it was just the fickle chaotic luck she had, or perhaps it was fate trying to steer her in the strangest of directions. Though no matter where she ended up it would always result in something.
This time however, the turn of events were not as kind or as normal as abnormal would typically be. Instead of some strange encounter or some strange new concept of human interaction, it would be something off in the distance. Even her animal instincts had kicked in to such a degree that she knew something was wrong. Where or what though? It felt off, it felt almost unconditionally different than what she had to deal with in the past. This feeling grew into worry the moment she noticed what was happening. Wind had began to pick up, and the sting of sand brushing against her was enough to make her worry. A portal being opened up now would be too easy to accomplish right now, but something stopped her from doing such, and instead she began to head towards a shelter for cover. This shelter was but a small nearby cave, which already was dimly lit. Something or someone was here before, but who or what? Time to perhaps investigate.
Investigating is what she'd normally do at least, but with what seemed like a fire off in the distance, Chloe instead kept herself reserved, especially with the deep chatter from a few different voices having echo'd through the cave system before fading off. Who ever made that fire was heading deeper into the cave, and was not on her side(bandits). Though with one look to the outside, she saw that route was getting cut off. It was dark, and the sandstorm still was raging around outside. One easy teleportation meant an escape, but did Chloe truly wish to go down that route? most likely not.
