Ryo watched with an amused smirk nodding his head in approval. It was this kind of dedication that made Kite so interesting. Ryo had of course done a very, very extensive investigation about Kite through his tarot cards, and he had come back with many, an interesting question and theory about such a thing. At this point however he wasn’t worried about Kite, and instead simply focused on being a good mentor. He really didn’t know what being a mentor would entail, but there was not much that he could do about such a thing, he had to see it done. There was no real choice in the matter for him, and he would get his job done, but for the time being he was not sure how to handle anything.
He looked around the ship as he followed his mentee back towards the location that he was talking about. He was not sure what it was, or what the point of it was, but he decided that he would let his mentee get himself worked up for a bit. He sat down where he was bid and simply sat crossing his leg before pulling out a deck of tarot cards using his magic for simple displays of amazing card tricks. He would every so often flip one card into the air and then catch it once more. He was not in that big of a hurry and it seemed that his pupil was also not in all that big of a hurry. Instead he decided that he would relax and enjoy the ride. It didn’t take all that long before the tea was made, and when he was that is when Ryo began to speak.
“Well, our job is very simple, a man wants our help to keep his livelihood, and if we do that then there will be a reward. This is a simple task, one of many that I believe is in our best interests to do so. What the actual details are, I haven’t the faintest. I simply saw that he needed some good quality hands and I volunteered us for the job. It was not like it would be an incredibly hard task to accomplish, but I want to make this very clear, I am serving as a supervisor, and managing this little job of ours. I am not going to do your work for you. I picked this job because it isn’t one that will test your combat abilities. It will test the other things that make a mage great. So with all of this in mind I am not going to do your work for you.” He said very simply as he finally finished his playing around with his cards and put them back in one of his many deck boxes.
With a sigh he pulled his hat from his head and slicked his hair back once more thinking “From what I remember of our mission we have one full night’s work to solve the problem at hand.” He said suddenly before he frowned shaking his head “I’ve decided that You will have one weak spell. I have many spells in my arsenal and you get one that is not as strong as you are. That will be my contributions to this endeavor.” He said with a smile on his face. Nodding his head once in approval of himself.
