Line-ups are for good people!

The day was high; but the sun was not. Winter was set in the Rose Garden and thin gentle flakes of snow fell with grace. Thankfully the wind was light- It made the trip here bearable and with some degree of beauty to be enjoyed.


Copy was one that tended to stick to feet. It took much more time, but it granted time for reflection. Enjoying the sights and ultimately allowed him to explore, understand and interact with much more throughout his travels. They ultimately had lead him to Rose Town- Not blindly mind you. He had initially spoke to the bartender that recommended he made his travels much more official- It made sense.

So he departed, throwing on his heavy duster and travel gear.

Upon his arrival, the sights were somewhat overwhelming. The lights, people, smell and sound- They all seemed so foreign, and of course they were. Copy attributed himself as a travelling man, but it rarely drug him into places that called for so many people. Something about it seemed very deterring.

So he did what any person of this situation would. Tucked his hands into his coat pockets, bundled his face as far as it could go- Mainly his chin and lips into the collar of his coat and strode in. Remaining anonymous among the crowd. Beyond the sword hilt on his waist, he did just that. Remained anonymous.

"Now Copy. Remember, you need to head to the registry and get your information in check. Prove you're with us and they'll provide you with what you need." the words resounded in Copy's mind from the bartender. It seemed simple in theory; but when faced with the massivity of the town. It's much more daunting.

Exhaling from his nose a few times heavily- The cold vapors frosted his coat. It didn't seem to bother him- Almost grounded him to his situation. So his eyes scanned the surroundings and aimed to source out signage, sounds of voices- - Most of which were salesmen and other unimportant information that would only blot out the importance more.

"Right. Focus!" As he did this, he pulled both hands out and planted a fist atop an open palm. It didn't help with standing out, which he had a few unusual glances. Drawing some red to his cheeks.

It seemed like hours passed- Because they did. Until he found the registry; the excitement was there for very brief and short lived moments. Why? Well the line-up that existed spanned farther than the doors barred the building. He was going to have to wait. Much... Much longer than anticipated. "No matter.. Perhaps it's small on the inside. Do not lose faith." He reassured himself thoughtfully. Heading to the back of the line. The battle of patience begun.

""It's been two hours?! WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG?" His mind was conflicted. He knew he was to finish this with patience, the kindness of a citizen but something seemed off. He couldn't budge, cut or otherwise. It would be far beyond his morality; it even covered that unfortunately.

So he took what he could. A deep breath, mixed with a sigh and defeat. As he shuffled his feet some. Watching the outside door; he was still outside. Closer- But not by much. He couldn't fathom quite why it was taking so long.

"Hot cacao! Hoooot~ Cacao~!"" A voice of an angel called out from the street he was on. While it was not as angelic as he may wish to claim it was. The thought of it was endearing. Something for his wits and resolve to hold-fast. A hot drink. So his arm fired like a missile to the sky. "Hot cacao please!" It drew some awkward looks, people shuffled and the lady homed in on his slender arm like a hawk. She was rather charming in her own way, young and bubbly. Rounded cheeks and a soft gaze. As she held a tray- The drinks presented with cute little chocolates and sprinkles. Hair was a soft oak brown, skin fair and unscathed. It was a strange polar to Copy. He offered some money in exchange for the drink, a smile calmly set on his face- It wasn't near as charming as hers.. At all.

He dipped his head in thanks, and she scurried off through the crowd. Several others in the line lifted hands and called as silly as he. Perhaps it was a good thing he broke some tension in the irritable line. But regardless. It was still long. And they only moved a few people over the span of several minutes. "Poop." He thought childishly, taking a light sip. Sniffling.

Crunch... Crunch... Crunch.. Groan.
Continued sounds of irritation, cold-shivers and the quiet chatter of pairs of people that came together. Almost an hour passed further. Copy had made it to the entrance doors. Barely able to see inside, but from what he saw. It was rather busy even inside; it made his heart sink some. But that little girl provided hot cocoa and he had been sipping away sparingly to make sure it lasted the trip. Something for him to restrain and commit himself to the endeavor-- Even if it was already cold by now.

He had taken a deep breath. Both eyes were half-lidded and exhausted. Who knew standing around doing nothing was so hard? For someone like Copy- whom was almost always moving? Didn't. And the feeling of such draining of emotion, will and energy was all the more piercing into his conviction to the cause.

"Next!" The line shuffled. Finally breaking through the threshhold of the entry doors. It was then, his heart sunk even more. Not because the line was massive it was- No. It was because he was in the wrong line. You see; he wasn't fond of openly chatting with people. So he never clued in that there was a line for a lottery for a fancy house in town. That was this line. To the right was a significantly smaller line. With some elderly ladies waiting patiently for the other to finish their stamping and approval.

Eye twitch. Twitch. Internal screaming.

He chugged the hot cacao first. Of course, accidents aren't needed in this time of desperation. He had wasted so much already. The cold, staleness of it mind you made him hack a few times until he rushed through to the new line.

Met with a cheery smile from a gran in-front of him. "My ol' my. Youngin' you look like you've been awake for days!" she cackled kindly.

It was only then, did he actually count the time he has been awake. "One.. One hal--" he whimpered some more. "Yes ma'am I have been for almost two days now.. This passport will be the death of me! I swear it!" he shouted, not angrily but with umph.

The women ahead seemed to just look back and all motioned his attention. Which was slowly drawn- Very.. Very slowly, his attention was off. But eventually he caught sight. "Come youngster. You can take our position in line. We have bingo in a bit, but lots of time!"

With a sigh of relief and some thanking ahead of him. His time inevitably was rewarded with some kindness. Providing his information, proof of guild-ship and his signature. A new passport and he was sent on his way. Trudging through the snow littered streets. First stop? A hotel.
