The blue haired woman made her way away from her house after doing her morning routine, faster than usual. As she made her way into the forest outside of Magnolia and continues away from said town. Several hours later, Ai found herself at a cliff, with water crashing against it hard enough for some water particles to land on the cliff itself every now and again. Her blue hair, which was in a pony tail, fluttered in the wind as it passed her by. Her dress followed suit as the wind passed her, only revealing her feet, which were bare on the grass on the cliff. Scanning the area with her red eyes, she would see several flowers blooming towards the edge of the cliff itself. She would have collected them right after them had blossomed, but she would wait until the wind stopped to think of them, if it did before she left the area.

And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

What a splendid place to come across. It was quite beautiful with all the flowers and nature, topped off with its very own miniature waterfall. It looked as if it were ripped straight out of a Disney cartoon, save for the talking woodland creatures and evil stepmothers.
The musician had come across it rather recently during one of her travels. To get to Haunted Village she and her brother had to pass through here. And while almost passing out from her motion sickness, she had not managed to miss this place. How could she? Even while half-dead it was hard to miss such peace and beauty. It was the perfect scenery for playing in, she could easily see herself playing full-out here, losing herself within her music, not to be bothered by anyone. With this in mind, she made sure to remember the route to take in order to visit this place again. And what would you know, she finally found some free time from her busy schedule to do so.
Though it took some time from her getting lost, taking one wrong turn after another, she made it to the serene cliff all in one piece.

Black violin case in one hand the ace took her time reaching the edge of the cliff, just as the sun was soon to set, barely hanging onto the sky, threatening to fall down off the edge of the earth at any moment, turning the cliff a dark orange color, dark shadows long and bold. Seems it had taken her longer to reach here than she thought. What a shame. She would have liked to be able to stay here longer and enjoy the peacefulness. But finding the Golden Phoenix guild hall in the dark was hard, and not worth a longer trip.
Her usual happily calm expression placed onto her face the slayer turned the corner to the cliff, only to stumble back slightly as a figure caught her eye. Crimson eyes widened as she stared, surprise taking over her features. Oh dear, looks as though someone had the same idea as her...
The ace stared, caught up in the beauty of the scene. A graceful woman, sitting upon the edge of a cliff at sunset, her blue hair waving softly in the breeze, eyes looking out onto the world. It was a scene for a painter. Breathtaking.
Now unsure if she should disturb the woman, Astrid shuffled over towards the wall of the stone cliff, head popping out slightly, just enough so she could keep staring, distracted by beauty of the scene too much to continue forward.

Time had passed as Ai stayed at the cliff until she had soon heard the sound of someone moving about but ignored it for the time, enjoying the feeling of the wind as well as watching the sun set slowly across the horizon. The blue haired woman would exhale slowly before noticing the slight sounds that he had heard before stop. She'd look around now, curious as to who had been moving and stopped, or disappeared, but as she looked around, she'd notice someone with white hair and red eyes looking at her. It was either her or the sun set, so she wasn't entirely sure. She'd look back out to the horizon, and down to the water before standing on the ledge of the cliff, tilting her head as she'd soon speak to the woman.

"Hello, what brings you out this way?" She'd ask, her red eyes focused on the woman, even though she wasn't facing her. It took her a moment to actually notice what kind of clothes the woman was wearing a red dress and some sort of flats. Neither the footwear or the dress had really caught her attention, but she liked the dress a little, even if it wasn't really for her. "What might your name be?" She'd ask, after waiting a few moments after her last question.

Despite trying her best to hide, it seemed as though her attempt had been futile. The woman managed to spot her anyway.
Seeing no point in continuing to hide the young slayer shuffled away from the side of the mountain, revealing herself. One hand dropped down to the case handle to assist the other, pushing the case forward to dangle loosely in front of her.
Crimson eyes laid sheepishly upon the stranger, glancing away to the side for a brief second before returning to face front.
"I am sorry to have disturbed you, madame. I was planning to play a piece or two here on my violin... But i was not expecting anyone else to be here... And seeing how peaceful you were, i was trying my best not to bother you."
Astrid had assumed since this was such an isolated place that no one really knew about it. But it seemed as though she was wrong.

As per usual with her greetings, she bent down in a small bow, lifting the sides of her dress slightly with her movement.
"I am Astrid Foss." Feeling a bit more confident after explaining herself, a small smile grew upon the slayer's lips.
"Who might you be, if i may ask?"

Ai Daiki • Grim Heresy • B Rank

Ai watched the woman glance away for a second before speaking. Apparently the woman was planning on playing a piece or two with her violin and wasn't expecting anyone else to be where the two currently stood. Apparently she had seemed peaceful and that she wasn't trying to bother her. She'd let the woman speak up again before cutting her off. She'd introduce herself as Astrid Foss after a small bow, and soon smiling before asking who she was. She was decently surprised at how polite she was, even to a complete stranger. "Believe me, I'm as far from peaceful as one can be, though I apparently look more composed than I should, but that's a different story for a different time. As for my name, I'd like to hear you play your violin before answering, if you don't mind." She said, smiling and slightly tilting her head after turning to actually face the woman. "I don't entirely mean to sound rude with that, if I came off that way, it's just been a while since I've heard any sort of music, and I don't entirely want to miss anything, so holding off telling you my name reminds me to to tell you it before we part ways from this lovely scene." She'd say, before looking back at the setting sun for a bit.

The blue haired woman couldn't sense any holy or unholy aspects to the woman, so either she didn't use any God or Demon slayer magic or holy or unholy based energies, or the woman wasn't a mage. She wouldn't say anything, but after a moment, she'd look back at the woman and smile.

The woman did not answer her question straight away. Instead, she requested to hear a piece before she did so. Why? The slayer wasn't entirely sure. It was a strange reasoning. But yet, Astrid would not judge. She was sure to have her reasons, and it's not like there was anything wrong with it. Knowing the names of her audience members did not effected her playing. She preformed in front of dozens of strangers daily who she did not know the names of. This would be no different besides the big difference of crowd numbers.
The ace followed her gaze out into the sunset, studying the bright colors before looking back when she did the same. Grasping her case tighter Astrid nodded once, agreeing to the terms.
She bent down, laying the black case upon the ground beside her. She flipped the silver locks, opening the lid to reveal her prized instrument. A wooden violin.
The ace grabbed it by the neck with one hand while taking the bow in the other. Once done she would make her way to the edge of the cliff where the blue haired woman resided, taking the place to her right. She flicked her head back, allowing some stray silver locks to fall behind her shoulder to make way for the violin. She placed the woodwind under her chin properly and took a sharp breath in, closing her eyes. She allowed the surrounding noises of falling water and rustling leaves to drown out from her ears, thinking only of what song to play.
As if by itself, the hand holding the bow rose to the strings of the violin, hovering above them for a split second before rubbing once against them, creating a single, long note, which then quickly turned into a full song.
As the musician played the sweet melody, little droplets of light began pooling around the two females, sparkling like the stars at night, their twinkles shining in time with her music. Every now and again, one droplet would run across the ground, imitating a sort of shooting star. One would even speed across towards the strange woman at one point, but would melt back into the ground before touching her.
