Job Location: Sea of Devils
Job Description:
(Party) One day, amidst a cold autumn's day, You see a girl wander out of the desert, which has a grey horizon, she wanders, almost within a trance, for miles, before coming to the dastardly area known only as the Sea of Devils. When she comes to the edge, a watery portal opens before her, which almost closes on you before you jump through the portal after her. When you open your eyes, The girl, who introduces herself as Aera Tylidae, and beckones you to follow her through this multi-colored dimensional rift into the mental landscape before you, where shadowy figures lay just beyond your peripheral vision, always there, always whispering.
(Solo) You wake up after another restless night in the time-frozen barren wastelands of your desert home to find yourself in your mind-scape, a desolate place where your demons, ones you've naturally gained, and the ones accrued from your forays into people's minds, after the memory copy. You wander listlessly, trying your best to find a way out of this waking nightmare.
(Both.) Each enemy will attack you, and each counter type will deal different effects.
-1: Depression Counters: Will deal damage to you once enough counters build up. 1-10 deals 1 D-Rank damage, 11-20 deals 1 C-Rank Damage, and 21-30 depression counters will deal 1 B-Rank Damage. These counters will come from the weak* enemies.
-2: Rage Counters: These counters will make it easier for your character to lose control, and can even make you fight amongst yourselves, or if it's the solo, hurt yourself. Having 1-10 Rage counters will make it so that once every 5 Posts, you must roll a D6 and roll higher than a 2 to maintain control over yourself, 11-20 Rage Counters will have the same number die, but will need to be rolled every three posts, and roll higher than a four,
and 21-30 will need to have the roll happen every post, and must roll as high as a 5, or higher. These counters come from a Normal* enemy.
-3: Self-Disgust Counters: These counters are special compared to the others, because they don't do anything until a stack of 20, by then you need you need to roll a D6, 1-3 turning those Disgust counters into Depression counters of equal number, or a 4-6 adding the same number as the disgust counters into Rage Counters. These come from Strong Enemies.
Each Counter must be noted at the bottom of a post, the highest amount is what type of damage the Boss will deal to you.
ENEMIES:
Weak: Depressing Thoughts (x5): These depressed thoughts turned into demons, personifying the horrid mental thoughts in this day-to-day mental landscape. Each of these thoughts holds different means of death, from... well, you get the picture. Each demon will try and sway you into this dark, depressing emotional place. To banish them, you must batter them away, making them laugh as they flee, but you need only hit them once. Each hit they get off on you doesn't deal damage, but they leave anywhere between 1 and 6 Depression Counters, which will deal damage over time as they grow in number. (Roll a 1-6 Number die to determine what number of counters are placed upon you. Depression Counters don't fade until 3 Posts after the last counter was added onto the last person infected by this counter. Counters appear like tattooed numbers on a person's neck. All Damage perpetrated by these counters lasts as many posts
Normal: Aspects of Anger (x7): These enemies are difficult to manage. They will attack you, but they cannot be harmed, every time you try, they give 2x more counters than their previous attack, (1 Counter -> 2 Counters -> 4 Counters -> 8 Counters, etc...) This must be discovered IC. They will leave, as well as the Rage Counters, after 1 Post after the final attack was perpetrated.
Strong: Self-Loathing Sprites (x9): These dastardly sprites inflict Disgust Counters, and though they don't do much yet, they will inflict 1.5 C-Rank damage unto the party, and within this damage, is 3 Disgust Counters. They each take 1 B-Rank's worth of Damage to slay.
Boss: Distorted Ally: Warped Aera Tylidae.
This enemy looks similar, yet entirely different to the person next to you (or yourself, if solo), and is eerily reminiscent of how Aera's mindscape is. This form is warped, and grotesque, their skin blackening as though with rot, and warps constantly, changing form. around the head of this grotesque being are three stars, Red, Green, and Blue. Each star goes after a person with a corresponding height in Counter-type numbers. (Red=Rage, Blue= Depression, etc...) If a person has no counters, the monstrous mirror of the person in your party will go after the person without counters, or with the least counters in general. Each star deals 3 C-Rank Damage per hit, and takes 4 B-Rank Damage to kill. The main enemy takes 5 B-Rank Damage to kill, and can use all spells in the repertoire of Aera Tylidae's magic bank.
Reward: 7.5K jewel, and a Legendary item, or a Strong (+) weapon for the party. (also job rank XP)
*Must be Solo'd for the Item. Can only be solo'd one time. After the first party clear, and only solo clear, Aera Tylidae receives only XP
