N ame: Draughtbane Rank: Legendary (+) Type: Warhammer Description: Deep within the confines of Ca-Elum, this masterpiece of a weapon had been forged by the hands of ancient, trained dwarves. Who its original creator is, is unknown, as well as the reason behind why it was created in the first place and who it was created for. But for thousands of years, this weapon had laid dormant in the dwarven armory, just awaiting for the time that it would be used. A decoration for the passing dwarves who wanted to admire the work of their ancestors and pray that one day, they, too, will be a master forger. Though behind this beautiful weapon is a story of sweat, tears, and glory; the hardship its dwarven creator went through to make it. And for those thousands of years, this weapon remained locked away in its case, untouched with the reasoning that it was potent. Oh, but its master has awakened and now it rattles and moans in its cage, calling out to the one and single being that is able to wield it. Within Ca-Elum, this warhammer was forged from a surmount of metals, though its base metal is that of titanium, an extremely durable metal. Reinforced with this metal, it is durable enough to withstand most attacks, but becomes a conductor of electricity when struck by it. It's painted with a heavy, almost lead-like, black hue, not a single scratch on its metal tat was painted over, as if it was brand new. This metallic paint was used as another set of durability, keeping it so that, no matter what happens to it, no scratches would ever mar it. Of course, no matter how durable the dwarves made it, the weapon would always be able to gain cracks and eventually break and need to be repaired. But this weapon, it appeared to be constructed for a god, as though only a god would ever be able to wield this masterpiece of a weapon. The reasoning behind its construction? Most assume that it was just as it appeared to be, a weapon forged at the request of the Earth God. It has eccentric designs all over its body, a true sign that the dwarves of Ca-Elum forged such a beautiful weapon as this. They took the dedication and time to assure that the warhammer was embellished and worthy enough to be wielded by a god. Oh, but this weapon is two-handed, requiring the use of both hands to wield, but as the Earth God, one would only ever require a single hand. And this weapon is two-headed, able to be flipped from head-to-head to deal as much damage as its wielder was capable of dishing out. However, the beast of a hammer is a hefty one, able to only be wielded by those with the strength to lift the immovable boulder. Designed as a weapon for the gods, no magus is able to simply wield it, only those blessed by the Earth God, himself, are able to lift it. Yet, it is a beautiful thing to behold, a devastating weapon to clash with during battle, and a beastly creation against those who wish nothing more but to destroy it. Strengths:
- Higher level of durability compared to most other weapons, allowing it to withstand more direct attacks than those of weaker ranks
- Wield-able only by the child of the Earth God; all those not the child of the Earth God will find the weapon too heavy to lift
- Contains two extremely destructive abilities that cause a surmount of damage, both to those that it attacks and to the surrounding area
Weaknesses:
- Despite being a durable weapon compared to most, the weapon is still able to be cracked and destroyed by outside magi
- Catastrophic damage is able to be caused by the weapon, most damage caused by the weapon being unable to be repaired under certain circumstances
- Both abilities of the weapon are weak to their opposite elements, able to be muddied and receive more damage from those wielding said elements
- Due to the hefty nature of the weapon, its wielder is temporarily slowed down by -25% of their base speed when the weapon is in their hands
Abilities: - Earthen Decay:
Name: Earthen Decay Rank: A Duration: 7 posts Cooldown: 8 posts Description: The wielder of the warhammer is able to take the weapon and smash it into the ground, causing a crack in the earth in front of them. This crack begins to grow at a rate of four meters per second (4m/s) over a range of eighty [80] meters to their nearest target. As the crack grows with each meter, the crevice gets bigger and bigger until a large hole in the ground appears below the target. They, being the target, will either fall into the crevice and be swallowed up for the duration of the ability or a hand will reach out toward them if they are able to escape from falling in. Swallowed up by this crack, the target will receive 50% of initial user-rank damage (up to A-rank) and the same goes for those caught by the hand. For each post they are trapped within the "tomb" or within the hand, the target will receive 50% of user-rank damage (up to A-rank) until 2.5x damage has been dealt. Anyone trapped by the hand is able to escape will receive a -35% speed reduction for the duration of the ability. It takes 2x user-rank damage to break the hand. Strengths:
- Those that are caught within the range of the crack in the earth's core will be swallowed up by the crevice for the ability's duration
- For those that are able to escape the fall inward, a hand will reach out toward them and grab hold of them, reducing their speed by -25%
- The longer the target is held within the tomb or within the hand, they will consistently receive 50% of damage per post until 2.5x damage has been dealt to them
Weaknesses:
- Any magus, regardless of their rank, is able to dig their way out of the ground to negate or reduce the damage done to them
- Water-type spells are able to muddy the earth that swallows up the target or holds them captive with the hand, reducing the damage -25%
- The hand is shattered once two (2) user-rank damage has been dealt to it, freeing the target of any intended damage, but not the slow
- Wind-type spells are able to erode the hand that holds a target captive, reducing the damage intended by -25%
- Earth Rumble:
Name: Earth Rumble Rank: B Duration: 6 posts Cooldown: 7 posts Description: Taking the weapon in their hand or hands, the wielder of the warhammer must strike a target with one side of the hammer. Once the contact is made, the earth will begin to rumble below both the target that was struck and the wielder. The target's speed will quickly drop and they will find that they are no longer efficient in being able to move like they previously did. This drop in speed results in -35% and will lost for the six (6) post duration that the ability has, and is only applied to the one that was struck. On the other hand, damage is dealt to the target through the rumbling of the earth, shaking them and otherwise throwing them about. Damage to the target equates to 1.75x user-rank (up to B-rank) damage, but may be reduced by any armor or items the target has on them. In the surrounding fifty-five (50) meter range that the ground begins to rumble, those that are not the epicenter (a.k.a the one struck by the weapon) receive 75% of user-rank (up to B-rank) damage. Strengths:
- The target that is struck by the weapon will receive 1.75x user-rank (up to B-rank) damage from the ability
- Targets that are struck by the weapon not only receive damage from the weapon, but are also slowed down by -35%
- Anyone that is located within a fifty-five (55) meter range of the rumbling earth will receive 75% of intended damage
Weaknesses:
- While having no set element to the attack, the speed reduction that is placed on the struck target can be reversed with a +35% or higher speed buff
- Those that are within the fifty-five (55) meter range will only receive 75% of the total damage the ability can deal
- For any damage to be dealt and for the speed debuff to attach itself to the target, the weapon must make contact
- Through any means, such as damage reduction spells, items, or armors, damage can be reduced from the intended amount
