In search of a Team/Companion

As Kaleb entered the guild returning from his most recent job he felt as if he had missed out on some sort of experience due to him going on a solo mission. So he decided it was time for him to take a mission with a partner or even a team. So he walked into the guild hall and called out, "If there are any D-Class wizards who would like to go on a job with me make yourselves known!".

Kyrin walked through the guild tavern on his way to his room. It only took him a few weeks to get the layout of the guild, especially with the help of R.A.I.N.E.; and it gave him a few shortcuts that he used. One was through the tavern, and sometime he stopped for a small drink before continuing.

As he was walking through he heard the call. "If there are any D-Class wizards who would like to go on a job with me make yourselves known!" His steps slowed as he glanced over at the young man. He looked close to Kyrin’s age, and seemed pretty friendly. Well I have to get to know my guildmates sooner or later.

So he tried for a smile as he turned his path towards the young man. It was obviously a forced smile, like someone trying too hard. But it was the best he could for a total stranger. For some reason he just couldn’t smile for someone he didn’t know. ”Are you looking for someone to join you for a mission?”

As Kaleb turned he saw a young man smiling towards him and then he heard him ask, "Are you looking for someone to join you for a mission?" As soon as Kaleb heard this a smile came to his face and he replied,

"Of course, my name is Kaleb what is yours?."

Already Kyrin could feel his smile ease a little and becoming slightly more natural. It didn’t take long for his expressions to relax; provided he got to know the person he talked to. He extended his hand to the young man. ”Nice to meet you Kaleb. My name is Kyrin.”

Looking at Kaleb he tried to puzzle out what kind of mission the young man had in mind. Kyrin himself already helped with the blood donation. But instead he said, ”I’m guessing you’re new the guild as well? I just started a few weeks ago.”

Kaleb saw Kyrin relax slightly and he was glad of that, Then Kyrin asked him, ”I’m guessing you’re new the guild as well? I just started a few weeks ago,” with this Kaleb smiled even more.

"Why yes! I only started a couple weeks ago but I've gone on a job or two already," He smirked a little and his eyes lit up, "What do you think about going on a C-Rank mission with me," Kaleb said eager to hear Kyrins reply.

Kyrin hesitated a little at that. C-Rank jobs were listed on the board in the guild hall, and there weren't any rules on taking higher ranked jobs. Well except A-Rank ones and higher, but those were in a whole different category all their own. Still, C-Rank jobs were supposed to be tough for new mages.

But he wouldn't be alone on this job. Besides Kaleb he had a few 'friends' that could make any combat easier. So with a slightly more natural smile Kyrin and took back his untouched hand. He figured the man was too eager for the job to even notice it. "That could be a tough one. What did you have in mind?"

As soon as Kyrin asked that he knew immediately what job he wanted to do, "Let's do the wedding crasher job," Kaleb said holding up the poster.(https://www.fairytail-rp.com/t5193-wedding-crashers)Kaleb said with a burning passion in his voice, " I know we can do it. I have this feeling we are going to make a great team!," Kaleb said this time with a huge smile on his face directed towards Kyrin.

Kyrin took the paper and began to read. As he read his eyes widened slightly, and then immediately turned hard. That was the only expression on his face, as his lips didn't even quirk. He handed the paper back to Kaleb with a semi-natural smile. "Ok, I'm in." He just hoped they wouldn't regret this.

As soon as Kaleb heard Kyrin was in be was extatic, " We got this man, I just know it," Kaleb said while holding his hand high in the air waiting with great anticipation for Kyrin to return his high five.

Kyrin hesitated only for a moment before raising his hand and returning the high five. This was pushing his comfort level to the max, but he figured it was for the best. Kaleb seemed to be the only one in the guild interested in meeting new people. He couldn't help but let a genuine smile touch his lips. "Alright, let's as the one in charge if we can take this one."
