The feline had recently left Golden Phoenix even ditching the collar she had worn before, entirely fleeing from the Legal Guilds for a very personal reason, well a revelation might be the better description. Simply stated? Fluffy had realized that the entire establishment of groups that were suppose to be lawful and protect people, had become corrupt by darkness! Izayuki was a monster, the worst kind of one, that Tanuki was the one that had taken her humanity, and yet the beast was the master of a legal guild, she was in good standing with pretty much all the other legal guilds. Honestly it was hard for the flame user to wrap her head around, but she knew leaving the corrupted institutions would be her only option if she wanted to continue pursuing her goals and not be forced to get along with the cursed thing which had taken life from her. Thus the feline was now very much on her own, having taken to residing in this village called Dark Well at the edge of the Spooky Forest, it was easy enough to go unnoticed at the moment and she was grateful for that because she had tons to sort out.

Anyways eventually she had gotten tired of laying around as she often did and decided to pick up some job as she was still a mage and on her own she had no one to hide her intelligence from. Divide island was the destination of the task she had picked up and she chose to fly there instead of taking some ship or anything like that. However when she arrived at the island to begin looking into what she was hired to check out? Fluffy found her ability to fly started failing, nothing seemed to change this no matter how strongly her flames burned she could not take back off anymore than a few feet, she was still swift and agile, but she was now unable to fly. Regardless of how strange this was? She still had a job to complete, so the feline guessed that she would have to walk instead of soar, didn't make much difference though.

Recently Strawberry received an upgrade from her guild. Installed within her now was something they called an "Ardent Core," a core source of energy for her body. This was a great upgrade to her previous electric body, since this was powered directly from her goddess' power and her domain, her personal Hell that all Grim Heresy members have access to. This made Strawberry feel special to be the first to receive such an upgrade from Pantheon Industries, as she got something no one else had, not even any of the other machines of Bosco. She got this Ardent Core after getting into a heated argument with a... Supple robot and going head to head in a classic maid-off against a maid rivalled to match her own skills. It was pitiful how they thought Strawberry would lose, but that was against the point.

This Ardent Core had some undetermined side effects. This core began to corrupt Strawberry's body from the moment it was installed, but not in the classic corruption kind of way. Her sense of touch, specifically her pain detectors, had been severely modified by the energy core. Although it serves primarily as a method of power now, Strawberry had a bad feeling about continuing to use it in the future.

Regardless, today was another job day, one that she felt fairly confident about. At the moment she was on a boat, heading to divide island, but the maid smiled brightly as she felt a familiar sense. This would be unfamiliar to Fluffy, but Strawberry recognized it all too well. It was the sense that one got when they could tell where someone else with a Pact Mark or a Talisman were, and one was on Divide Island. This would make something extremely interesting, as a Pact / Talisman weilder could easily be the source of the mishaps on Divide Island. The maid couldn't tell who was there, but she knew someone was.

She was quickly finding the new inability to take flight as an exceptionally annoying feature of this island. oddly enough? Fluffy was used to flying even though it was one of her newer abilities, the speed was rather addicting. She shook her head slightly, realizing where her head was going even though she consciously wanted to become human again which would mean giving up the flight powers. Maybe it was horrible to take on jobs like this, she was getting used to having those powers to abuse as she did. Of course was it really power abuse if it was 'natural' to her current life state? Possibly not, and with that rationalization she also made herself believe that adoring her flight powers was not wrong simply because she was currently a kasha all of this would go away once she got Izayuki to turn her human again, or killed the Tanuki herself.

A sensation washed over her and she was unsure what it was, a warm pulsation which she had never felt before. Considering the sensation was brand new? Fluffy decided to go towards the shore as something new to the island had to cause it and maybe it was related to her sudden inability to fly. When the boat with Strawberry in it was pulling up to the island? The saber toothed feline would just be pushing her way through some foliage to come out into the open, sand getting between her toes. When her sharp ruby gaze finally caught slight sight of something not too far away? The only thought in her head was that there was no way she was running into Strawberry again without meaning to, fate did not exist. Oh well it was not like there was very much she could do about things anyway, since becoming guild-less she was learning to give up and give in, well in a sense, her new goal was to take down the legal guilds and replace them since every one of them was corrupted anyways.

Shockingly it did seem to be the maid on that boat, so the feline decided to walk down the beach to where it was still damp and yet the water could not touch her. "Fancy meeting you here." she shouted the words, a small chortle coming from her as she sat down to await the maid's arrival twin tails wrapped around her large paws.
