Rank: D
Player Requirements: 1x Any rank of mage, no limit to how many can participate. 500 words per person. 5 rolls per person involved. Boss counts a 2 strong.
Job Requirements: Explore the shoreline and find out what is going on.
Job Location: Any shoreline in Earthland. (Islands, port towns, etc.)
Job Description: Word of strange occurrences on the shoreline has reached your ears. Any number of people are willing to pay to find out was going on, but just plain curiousity may also be the reason for one to go and find out what is going on.
Enemies:
All enemies appear dead at first, as HUNDREDS of aquatic wildlife are on the shore for some reason. Nothing is wrong with them besides that they are out of the water. Attempts to put them back in the water will result in them beaching themselves again and attacking anyway.
Weak:
Dying Fish x5; A large fish(your choice on what it is) is out of the water, aggressively attacking anything near it out of fear. Takes any 1 hit of damage to kill, due to how weak it is. They deal no damage and are a minor inconvenience.
Normal:
Dying Shark x2; A shark of some kind begins flailing about nearby. They're teeth are a threat, dealing 1.5 D ranks of spell damage if they bite you. They take 3 D ranks of spell damage to take down.
Strong:
Whale x1; A whale has beached itself as well, flailing in the same frustration as the others. A hit from this mighty beast, whether by tail, mouth, or fin, will deal 2 D ranks of spell damage to the poor sap struck. They take a whopping 10 D ranks to put out of their misery. Make sure to push the dead body into the water, else they will explode and cause trouble for those that have to run clean-up of the shoreline!
Boss:
N/A
Reward:
Normal D rank exp
2k jewels to each person involved. (Total jewels from those interested in the information on what was going on.)
Access to part 2 in the job series!
Lex walked the sandy beaches of Cedar semi enjoying the scorching sand between his toes. He had not been to the beach to relax in ages, though looking at him at this current moment relaxation was the last thing that would be brought to ones mind. Lex was struggling to carry an umbrella, a folding chair, a beach towel, a bag filled with books, booze and weapons , and to top it all off a pink duck float. He was wearing a rather skimpy and tight black speedo, leaving little room for the imagination, as well as a loose beach robe. As he dragged his stuff through the sand an odd odor penetrated his nose. “What the hell is that smell?”
Lex walked up a rather large sand dune to see that there was a whole host of rotting sea creatures laying on the shore. “What the fuck is going on here?” There was a number of people trying to push back in dolphins, whales, sharks, and other fish. The scene before him made little to no sense, what could be the cause of all these sea creatures to wash up on shore like this. Before he moved to do anything people started to holler and scream down below as a massive wave was incoming. Well that wave might wash whatever is out here back into the ocean right? Wrong. Before the wave made it to shore Lex could already tell that it was filled with more creatures. They became more apparent the closer the wave got to shore, those that were already down there trying to save the creatures were about to be in for a rude awakening.
