Special Characteristics: She almost always carries an orange cloth, bound around her waist. This was an imperial banner of the Islands of the Moon and Stars. Another thing of notable importance is a pistol that she carries, it’s a called a Grapeshot Revolver.

Personality:
Kasumi was raised in a poor family; her father was a fisher and a smuggler and Kasumi learned the trade of fishing and the usage of the boat. However, her father never brought her along when he went out to smuggle. Because she was from a poor family she looked up at the ruling warrior class with awe but also with fear. She has there for great respect for any one of nobility even though what happened during the latest events, where a large majority of the warrior clans supported the Imperial chancellor. This does mean that she is cautious about any one that looks like he is from the warrior class that she knows from her country (anyone samurai like).
She likes to be around her friends and is always in for a party may it have a good reason or not, it’s always a nice diversion of the troubles of life. Kasumi isn’t so straight forward to strangers, she is a political refugee and doesn’t want to risk to have her cover blown.  This is also the reason why she doesn’t use her true name and uses the name Kasumi, which means mist. Her true name is Saigo (Family name) Kazue (Birthname). There are very few people who know her true name and she wants to keep it like that.
Kasumi usually spends the time that she is free, may it be on a ship, during travel or when spending the time for a longer time on one spot, practising sword fighting and gunnery. On a moving ship, this is rather difficult at first but after years on sea and after many hours of practice she learned to calculate her shots with deadly precision. Luckily there isn’t that much room on a ship to shoot on bigger distances. Other things she does is gambling and drinking during her break, something that might not fit in this row is enjoying nature and learning about history.  That last part she discovered while she was being trained at a naval academia. She learned there about the great admirals and generals of the past and that turned into a passion of learning the puzzle of the past.
Another passion of her is to build steam machinery, she came into contact with that during the modernisation prosses of her country and was awed by the ‘magical’ technique.  

Kasumi has served on few battleships during the civil war and later on she gained the command of a ship. She doesn’t mind being commanded around by people that know their trade, how to command a ship on the waves and in battle. However, she won’t do a sailor’s job, it’s either that of a marine or as an officer. She doesn’t plan to waist her abilities on the things she deems bellow her skillset.
Companionship is something that Kasumi values a lot and this is visible in her commanding. But she can be strict when needed to be.
Kasumi has one slight problem, as state further above, she has a drinking problem. It happens sometimes that she goes into battle… drunk. It’s a miracle that she is still alive. So like, this is all fine, but I don't see an exact personality for when shes in combat, this is needed :) She can't be drunk all the time D;





Likes:
• Seagulls: Birds are a sign that land is nearby, so for shippers it can be a great to see them after long weeks on sea.
• Ships: Kasumi’s father was a smuggler and later, surprisingly, a captain of a ship in the imperial navy.
• Steam machines: Kasumi has been awed by this ‘magical’ method of propulsion since the introduction of the technique in her country.
• Parties: She likes to toast on a victory, drink with friends or celebrate special occasions.
• Companionship: Companionship is something valued by Kasumi.
• Alcohol: She consumes lots and lots of alcohol.
• Nature: She likes to enjoy nature.
• History: Kasumi learned about history while being at a naval academia and has fallen in love with it.
Dislikes:
• The Chancellors: The Chancellors is a reference to the supporters of the chancellor, they seized full power on the Islands of the Moon and Stars and they exiled the Emperor after a civil war.
• Exiled: Kasumi is being hunted by the Chancellors and is now an exile in Fiore.
• Storms: It’s something you rather not find yourself when on a ship.
Motivations:
• Justice: Kasumi wants justice served upon the enemies of the emperor and the emperor himself back on the throne in his palace.
• Duty: Kasumi had pledged an oath at the beginning at her military carrier, she plans to follow those through till her death.
• Revenge: her father died, protecting the emperor as well as Kasumi’s life. She wants to take down the enemy that took her father away from her.
Fears:
• Fire: The worst nightmare of a shipper is to see their ship a blaze.
• Futile: Kasumi is afraid that it’s too late to bring the imperial faction back to its reign.
• Jellyfish: She is scared of Jellyfish due stepping on one during her younger years.

Hair: Grey-brown mix, usually in a ponytail.

Skin Tone: Light, but often burned by sunlight.
Appearance: She wears dark brown pants and atop of that she wears a short white-brown kimono. Two parts, brown, are longer and follow the legs loosely. She carries an imperial banner around her waist alongside a holster for her revolver, (munition) pouches and a katana. She wears dark brown fingerless hand shoes
