Battle for The Title! [ Ryo Knetegawa Versus Ezra Aurence!]

Ryo sighed heavily as he walked towards the Arena. He wasn’t used to this kind of thing. He hated these kinds of fights, but there wasn’t much he could do about it. The rules he had agreed to when the council had decided to grant him the title of 10th wizard saint was that he should seriously consider duels that were made to him. He could refuse, but only for a good reason. Well, he was wishing for a good reason now, and he looked at Gora for the fifteenth or twentieth time on the walk sighing as his hand touched the little pin on his hat he wore that was the indicator of his title “Do we really have to go through this Gora? Can’t I just give him the stupid title? I don’t care anything about it.”

Gora sighed rolling his eyes as his thoughts entered Ryo’s head “No, you can’t. The guild is counting on you to have that title. It helps show the world that we are strong, and our guild is strong as well. Besides if that Fire King is one, then you should definitely be one.”

Ryo sighed shaking his head again as he adjusted his hat “You’re right. As always. I should call you the Wise Wolf.” With that he entered the arena proper to the sound of the applause. He didn’t understand why all these people were here, he wasn’t all that famous. He only had a title, and one that he only took because it was offered to him. Still, he had a reputation now it seemed so he would have to do something, even if he really didn’t want to. The giant white wolf was as tall as he was even standing on all four legs but he moved off to lay against the wall which held the gate they entered by laying his head on his paws and not looking at either of them showing he had no stake in this fight. In Ryo's hand was his katana the silver blade that he used to slay vampires, much like himself. He stood in the arena section that was his looking to the challenger “We don’t have to do this!” he shouted to the other wizard “We don’t have to fight, there are other ways to become a wizard saint!” he said while he moved his katana forward to show it was still sheathed and thus peace still possible. Of course, as he did this he used his master card trick to pull a green card from out of his sleeve and drop it behind his leg. If this guy was looking for such a trick, then he might be able to see it. Slowly his eyes lost their color and became black orbs in his head his fangs and claws growing slightly to make it clear this fight would be serious. “Once we draw weapons this fight is on, and it’ll go on until one of us either gives, or dies. I don’t want to kill you, and I don’t want to be killed, but if you are the man who can kill the monster then I will accept death graciously.” Now he was ready and he took his stance, but he wouldn’t attack unless attacked first.

Ryo was a bit caught off guard for this line of speech and it showed. He wasn’t used to people showing proper respects, not to him, or anyone. So, he slowly stood up straight again listening and trying to figure out just what was happening. He glanced back to Gora who only flicked his tail in order to show that he was supposed to go forward. Ryo walked closer to the other wizard his sword calmly at his side as he was ready to shake hands. As he and the other wizard shook hands he smiled a bit easier than normal his features were still strange and evil looking, but he shook hands nonetheless “Very good. It shall be an honor to fight you, but I will not go easy on you. My name is Ryo Knetegawa, the 10th wizard saint. Also commonly known as The Card King.” He waited until the introduction was finished before he stepped back and got into his stance again ready to begin the battle.

Ryo smirked slightly showing his fangs a bit better as he noticed that his opponent was acting strange. No sooner had he said “however” than the green card appeared in Ryo’s hand and he pressed it to his forehead winking just as the weapon materialized in. It was far too late as before the slash happened Ryo’s body exploded into green cards and surged back towards the point where he had started his green card having already been placed before he went to shake hands with his opponent. The scythe passed harmlessly through the cards being that while in this form physical attacks such as a weapon strike couldn’t hit him as his body was intangible.

He appeared back at the location he had started in before going to shake hands. With the new distance he had created between him and his opponent he tucked his sword into his belt pulling out seven playing cards and the lovers tarot card. Throwing these cards out in front of him he smirked “I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t bare the mark of Sabertooth.” He said with a confident smile. After a moment of flight the cards exploded and became seven very attractive girls in bikinis who then launched themselves at Ezra seeking to pin him down and hold him in place for a moment. Ryo didn’t need to waste any more time and once the ladies hard started to go he picked out the three tarot cards from his right breast pocket “You should’ve fought with honor, not with guile, now I will show you absolutely no mercy.” With the girls looking to pin down Ezra he would have to fight them and destroy them or be caught up and held down thus giving Ryo the time he needed to cast his next spell.

He held the three cards to be inspected and if Ezra could see then he would find they were The wolf, the Moon, and the Magician tarot cards respectively. With his aura flowing into them they began to orbit him and pulling out two decks of playing cards he dropped them allowing them to form into two great wings which beat once pulling him into the air up to 50 meters already. He wasn’t going to give Erza a fair fight. As soon as he was in the air he began the most devastating part of this spell. He pulled out cards he would need holding up an animal tarot card in each hand speaking out loud “Card Creation: Dragon, Griffon!” a flurry of cards surged up forming into two great beasts. The dragon was a typical western style beast with four legs and wings, the griffon was lion bodied with eagle head. When the creations were done flying next to Ryo he spoke “Attack, and do not stop until he yields, or I call you off.” With that he pointed to their target and the beasts were locked on. Ryo flew upwards while the two beasts surged down towards their target ready to attack. The dragon flew around to the right and opened his mouth to exhale a torrent of cards that were his equivalent to a breath attack. The griffon came straight at him and once the breath attack was done, or dodged he would aim to slam into Ezra clawing him with his right paw. Of course, the dragon wouldn’t stop at only the one attack either if his card breath didn’t work or even if it did he would continue on his flight path and aim to slam his tail against Ezra in order to swat him.

Ryo on the other hand flew around as fast as his wings would let him never staying in one place and making himself a terrible target being 50 meters above the arena itself. He stayed within the arena’s boundaries however as the area above the arena still counted due to aerial battles being a common occurrence.

Abilities, and spells used:
Blink (B rank spell) 10 MP: near instantaneous teleportation to the green card set in my first post. Physical attacks can’t hit me, nor can magic lower than or equal to my rank. I get to blink to said set green card two more times before cooldown begins, or until the card is destroyed. 1 post duration

Sexy Ladies (D rank spell) 3 MP: Seven humanoids made of cards were created all surged to lock Ezra down and stop him from getting close to Ryo. He would have to either fight them all, or dodge them all in either event giving ryo enough time to cast his next spell. Duration begins

Card God (S Rank Spell) 20 MP: Ryo now has wings and can fly, his wings can shoot 15 cards that all do C rank damage when they hit (Each individual card hits for C rank damage), can now cast D and C rank spells twice before they go on cooldown. A rank spells have effects doubled (E.G. Creates two animals instead of one) but for a higher mana cost. Ryo also no longer casts spells at random or needs to draw certain cards. He gets the cards he wants for the spell he wants during this spell’s duration. Duration Begins lasts 7 posts

Card Creation Animal (A Rank spell) 20 MP (Card god boosted effects): 2 animals both of which take 3 hits of A rank damage before they are destroyed. One western dragon, one griffon. All animals have the basic abilities of the living animal they are copying. Thus the griffon has claws, and talons. The dragon has claws and can use a breath attack reaching no more than 10 meters away from itself. Each successful hit to them lowers the amount of damage they do by 1 rank (Meaning if they are hit with an A rank attack they weaken only dealing B rank damage. So on and so forth) They are able to move as freely as living animals so long as they are in duration time. Duration begins, last 3 posts each (Unless destroyed before hand.)

Damage: Blink no damage, Sexy ladies no damage, Card god No damage.

Card creation animal:
Each animal will deal 80 HP if they successfully hit Ezra. They are attacking two different ways at too different angles. Even if injured they will deal the damage at B rank (60 HP per hit) unless they are repelled. The Griffon is doing 2 attacks A body slam and a claw attack (160 total damage possible, or if injured 120 total damage possible) Dragon is doing 2 attacks Breath attack, and tail swipe (Same damage as griffon’s attacks possible)

Total damage possible: either 320 HP, or 240 HP at both hits landing cut it down by 80 or 60 depending on damage to animals done, and number of hits that land.

((OOC: According to Aiyana the time limit has been reached and I am well within my rights to have this be declared a victory by default as well as make Ezra run away from the match.)

Ezra was much like any other foe facing this kind of overwhelming power. He fled from the arena as quickly as he was able to. Ryo snapped his fingers and his spells halted vanishing entirely. He himself settled back down onto the ground of the arena. They were all cheering for him and yet he could hear the booing that also permeated through the crowd at having been denied a show, and possibly losing several bets. He sighed retrieving his cards and moving to the exit with Gora at his heels "This was a waste of my time, and yours. Still, I understand why Erza did it. He wanted to see what I was capable of, and so he's gotten a good look at what I was planning to use without risking himself in the process. A smart ploy next time it won't be easy." he said as they left the arena and headed back towards Sabertooth.
