"Ok...You can do this. Don't be nervous." Hiro looked up at the glorious hall entrance. It was so beautiful in his eyes, he had never seen anything like it.
"It reminds me of my old Dojo only bigger," he paused. "And before the accident..."
You don't need them Hiro, the voice in his head began speaking once again. Slaughter them all! Show them who's stronger!
"SHUT UP!" Hiro screamed aloud, his voice echoing around him. "You don't know me Oni! You know nothing about me! It's been almost four years since that incident and I'm lonely! I need someone, anyone. Someone besides you."
We've known each other for almost ten years now Hiro, we're practically related. And besides, a human was the one that gave you that scar, or have you forgotten already? Heed my warning Hiro, you will disappoint them, just like you did your family. Don't grow attached... The voice faded from his subconscious as it always does after tormenting him. His aura of pride and what he thought was courage transformed into nervousness once again. Why must Oni torment him every time he tried to be brave.
He approached the the large doors and swung them open. They made a much louder creak than he had hoped for. He was almost taken back by the number of people he saw sitting around and laughing. It's been years since he'd seen so many people in one place that he cracked a small smile, before immediately frowning once more. His left hand clenched his sheathed katana, trying to stop it from clanking on his armor, but proved almost useless with how much his hand was shaking. He looked around one last time as he took a large sigh, and marched forward.
With his head held high he made it only a few steps before lowering his head and looking at the floor. Now he just wanted to get out of there and find the guildmaster and hopefully not draw any attention to himself. He could feel his body still shaking as he passed by multiple people, hoping no one payed him any mind.
