    Job Details:

    Part One: Hilda

Mashyuu had his passport again and was out to visit some friends from his past life, let them know what happened just in case they needed to get in contact with him for whatever reason. The first place on his list was Glowflower Lake to visit Hilda, a buxom elf who he had helped in the past to when one of her spells went out of control, causing various pieces of furniture to fly around and attack the people of the forest town. It would be nice to see the woman again and catch up with the beauty.

The Wizard walked with Itsu after a terrible boat ride over to the land. Their feet pressed into soft wet grass while the sun rose up behind them. "So Mashyuu, when you were talking about visiting this place you seemed to light up like a Christmas tree. Any reason why?" Itsu asked the brown haired brawler of a Wizard. "Hilda is a very special Wizard. I think she is more powerful than she lets on. Some say she is the lady of the lake that created Excalibur and I wanted to see if maybe she indeed did so. Now that I have it and the scabbard I don't see a reason to wait on finding out. Plus I helped her out with something once and would like to see how she is doing. Eh... Itsu, Hilda is a big flirt so I would be in your debt if you didn't say anything about what happens with her to Kenna." Mashyuu added last second. Itsu giggled and nodded. "Okay Mash, your secret is safe with me."

In the distance the pair could see a large glowing tree that made up the center of the woodland village. Mashyuu pointed to it and spoke. "That's Glowflower Lake. At night all the plants glow, everyone's homes are built into trees and amazingly, Vulcans, Ogers and any other form of wild life lives there in peace. It really is a beautiful place at night and I think you're going to love it." Mashyuu went on. He pulled the brown gi shut over his body and tightened his belt while making shure his scabbard was comfortably strapped to his back to the hilt of his blade was resting against his lower back for a quick draw if needed. The two came to a large bridge that led into the city, the team stopped to take a breath, enjoying the view already. Itsu looped her arm in Mashyuu's and together the pair walked into the village. When they passed the large bridge a pair of Ogers with clubs draped over their shoulders sighed with relief when they saw the pair. "Guys, is everything okay?" Mashyuu asked. The Ogers looked at one another and shrugged. "Hilda's spell had a side effect. The furniture is attacking the village at night. We thought that you were something else coming from one of her spells." Mashyuu sighed and nodded his head. "Okay, I'll find Hilda and take care of things. You guys should get some rest before the sun goes down again. Here let me heal your wounds." Mashyuu lit up his body with golden light, the aura flowing off his body washed over the pair of Ogers and sealed up their wounds.

It was strange how well a memory worked when you needed it to. Mashyuu walked up a small road paved of simple flat stones you would find near any beach. The road led to a tree that had wooden steps built into it. Itsu followed along behind the Earth Wizard, watching while his head darted side to side to like he was expecting something to come out of nowhere and attack him, or maybe he was looking for someone. After a few moments he walked up the flight of wooden steps and stopped at a knothole. Itsu watched him stick his large arm into the hole and twist his massive arm. The tree rumbled for a moment then Mashyuu pulled his arm up and allowed the tree to reveal a doorway. "MASHYUU! IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!" A smokey voice echoed out from inside the tree as a a pair of beautiful and slender hands reached out and grabbed Mashyuu by the shoulders to tug him inside the tree. Mashyuu went wide eyed as he was gripped and Itsu reached out to try to grab him but missed the Wizard. She gasped when Mashyuu was pulled but found herself huffing when the tree closed behind him and blocked the Wizard off from his friend. A blonde Elf shoved Mashyuu into a seat and patted his head then moved behind a room divider and changed from a tight red dress to a suit of leather armor. She came back around and picked up a bow from her wall and strapped a quiver across her chest. "You always show up right when my magic seems to go out of control. Are you here to help again?" Mashyuu shrugged. "Actually I came over to tell you I died and came back to life...Also I have this sword here and wanted to know if you made it. But I guess I can help with your crazy magic issues again. But can you let my friend in?" The man asked and pointed to the door that blocked off Itsu and the others. "You mean that woman who's as pretty as me?" "Hilda, nobody is as pretty as you are. Besides she is my partner in crime. If you want my help, I want you to let her in." Hilda sighed and kissed Mashyuu deeply then winked. "Still taste like earth. Okay, She can come in." Hilda replied and opened the door. The moment she did, Itsu fell forward and landed on the ground. She rubbed her ram skull covered head and looked up at the pair. "You must be Hilda. Mashyuu told me a lot about you. But failed to mention that you are so good at locking doors." Itsu muttered while she stood up and dusted herself off. "So, like you already know Mashyuu, the furniture is going insane again and attacking anyone who sets foot outside. This time though my pet tiger is attacking people too. I can deal with the furniture but not the poor tiger. Can you help with that? Oh and no. I didn't make that sword."

Hilda explained that she was making a new sort of self cleaning wall when it gained sentience and broke away from her home, bringing hundreds, or maybe even thousands of things to life before deciding that everything was dirt and the entire forest needed to be cleaned. The wall brought Hilda's insane wardrobe back to life and in turn it hit her tiger in the head so hard that it took over as leader of the group and has been hunting down innocents ever since, eating some and kidnapping others. The entire ordeal was driving everyone in the town insane with fear. People were afraid to lose their homes and only the strongest of the citizens dared try to keep their home safe. The woman had developed a bow that could split arrows to hit multiple targets and had been standing atop the tree of her home at night, giving others covering fire while the citizens defended their home. Mashyuu respected how Hilda had been trying to work on her issue, fix the thing she messed up. But he also understood that sometimes defeating a leader could shake a group so much that the others fell. Mashyuu leaned forward in his seat and thought for a long moment. "Okay, here is what we will do. Itsu, you handle the Wardrobe and the other flying furniture tonight, Hilda you stay inside and work on a cure for the tiger. Stop doing this kind of magic. I'll deal with Raj, I won't kill him. I promise." Mashyuu decided. The two ladies thought about it for a moment and agreed that this was a good plan. Hilda put her bow away and sighed. "Fine, when I get the cure I'll get on the roof and start injecting everything that is attacking with my arrows after I lace them in the cure." Hilda agreed. The three sat and had lunch and dinner, caught up and shared stories until the sun started to set. Mashyuu looked out one of two windows Hilda had in her home and frowned. He didn't want to risk hurting anyone or anything that was under the power of magic to do harm to others but sometimes you had to do something you didn't want to. He stood up and headed for the door while Itsu followed. A moment later Hilda was hard at work searching for a magical cure. Itsu and Mashyuu walked down the steps and stood shoulder to shoulder. "We should split up if we are going to find these things right. I'll head for the gate where the Ogers were and help there. How about you?" Itsu suggested and asked. "I'll head up to the tree top here and see if I can spot Raj, call him out and deal with him before he can hurt anyone in the area. If we need to meet up meet back here." Mashyuu ordered. Itsu nodded in agreement and drew her black dagger, flipped it through the air and took off for the front gates. Mashyuu turned and bent his knees. The ground roared under him and lifted, launching him high into the air where he landed atop the tree and started to search the city.

    Part Two: Wardrobe Showdown.

Itsu's long legs carried her rapidly through the forest village, past wild animals and weaker humanoid races, her dagger cut a swath through various pieces of furniture that darted towards the villagers, taking pieces out left and right thanks to the combination of how sharp the blade she carried was and the speed at witch she ran. Finally she arrived to stand between the two Ogre's that were standing guard. Their clubs crashed through a couch and table respectively, splintering the objects in what seemed like a single blow. Itsu placed her palm on the flat side of her dagger while it started to glow red. Her long green hair flowed around her and she spoke softly. "Come fourth and defend your master. Hewy, Dewy, Luey." Before Itsu, three skeletal soldiers carrying great swords appeared in a flash of red light, their weapons readied, gleamed under the half moon's light. "Okay guys, destroy any flying furniture that comes at us, leave the wardrobe to me!" The three skeletons saluted Itsu and swung their weapons through the air, letting the cold metal blades hum through the air. The Ogres looked at Itsu and her undead soldiers, grinned and took a step back to let the skeletons take some of the attacks before they continued on. The stage was set, it was time to fight.

Off in the distance Itsu could spot the wardrobe flying through the air, circling the village before heading back the way it came. It opened its doors and spewed furniture as if it were a magical portal to a different realm. Itsu braced herself and drew a deep breath of air. "Ghost touch!" She shouted and released a blast of compressed energy straight at a cluster of furniture, shattering some of it and spreading the rest out. The flying furniture swept in low, and rocketed towards the three skeletons. Hewy ran up first and started to swing his great sword with one hand, whipping the blade around in a wide arch slashing through splintering wood and fabric until his bones started to creak with joint pain. As he gave up ground an arm chair with teeth came clattering down at Hewy, Luey however jumped into action, leaping straight over Hewy and brought his blade down atop the chair, piercing the cushion of the couch as Luey's weight came crashing down atop it. Both his feet planted on either arm of the chair while he pulled his blade up and cut through a metal lamp, sending two sides in different directions. The Ogres each reached out and grabbed a long dining table that was going to try to knock the skeletons over. Each of them yanked, splitting the table in half in one powerful motion. As the last item of furniture, a barrel came tumbling through the air at the group Dewy sprinted past the other two and hurled his blade forward, cutting the barrel into two halves that clattered to the grass and stone ground harmlessly.

The Wardrobe came down behind Itsu and opened its doors, three bolts of lightning rocketed from the large Wardrobe and went straight at Itsu. She side stepped left, dodging the bolts but all three of them crashed into an Ogre, sending him to the ground with a loud crash that shook the earth. Itsu glared and unleashed a blast of energy straight at the Wardrobe. In response it blew a powerful gust of wind and knocked the spell Itsu cast back at her. Itsu ducked, watched the spell soar past her and crash into her skeletons, destroying them on the spot. The bones rattled to the ground and vanished in a half a second. "You two, get out of here!" Itsu cried out to her new found Ogre friends. The two twisted on their large feet and raced into the forest to try and make sure nothing attacked Itsu from behind.

Now it was just her and the Wardrobe. Itsu placed her hand on her chest and whispered a command word. "Resurrect!" She shouted, then found herself enveloped in a flash of light as her magic took effect. Her armor vanished and left her top in the ripped dress she used to wear while her arms and shoulders were covered in hard armor, her lower half became that of a Centaur's and her head was half masked by the ram helmet she wore, now with a full set of curved horns. Itsu raced left, her hooves galloping while she raced around the flank of the Wardrobe. The woman used her new found speed boost and lowered her head. The Wardrobe started to glow but it was too late. Itsu smashed her head into the Wardrobe as hard as she could, cracking some of its wood and blasted it aside from the force of her strike. As it hit the ground, its doors swung open and light emerged from the Wardrobe, filling the area. Itsu turned and went into a sprint as fast as she could. The light almost hit her before it faded away and Itsu twisted around again to face her foe. It was strong but not very fast as far as she could tell. Slowly Itsu started to gallop again, this time she swung her dagger by the cord on the hilt, letting it gain momentum and speed. When she closed the distance with the now standing Wardrobe she flung the dagger out. It dug into the wood, forcing the Wardrobe to shriek in pain. A gout of flames shot from it and slammed into Itsu's chest, harming her body and burnt her slightly. It wasn't terrible though as she managed to shrug off the attack and teleport as she shouted. "Phantom Speed: Strike!" In a flash she appeared behind the Wardrobe and smashed her fist into the large wood working and pulled away, teleporting again as she evaded a gust of wind that would have surely pushed Itsu away. The woman appeared at its side and lashed out with a blast of light from her Ghost Touch spell, the result splintered part of the Wardrobe and knocked it into a near by tree, harming the Wardrobe a great deal in the process. it was time to end the thing before it could do any more harm. "Revive!" Itsu commanded and a clone of herself appeared. Together they spoke and activated a sort of unison raid. ""Phantom Speed: Strike!"" Both women vanished and appeared at either side of the monster, drove a limb into it then vanished and appeared again at different angles until the wardrobe crumbled to the ground, little more than ruined cloth and wood. Itsu's double vanished and her armor spell ended, leaving her panting for air. "Okay Mashyuu, its up to you and Hilda now. I'll see you soon." She mused to herself and made her way back to the tree.

    Part Three: Clash with Raj!

Silently Mashyuu stood atop the tallest tree in the isolated forest village. His glowing blue eyes could see Itsu and her battle with the Wardrobe and as much as he wanted to help his friend he needed to trust that a Sabertooth Wizard was indeed as powerful as ten normal Wizards. He had his own part to play in all of this. Even worse was the fact that he had to hope Hilda could find a cure in time. If she couldn't then all of this might be for naught. Or worse, he would have to kill Raj, in the same way Itsu had to destroy the Wardrobe. It seemed like he was watching the forest forever, his energy bow leveled before him as he fired an arrow off randomly at furniture that dared get to close to the Earth Wizard. There had to be something happening, what would Raj go after if he were hunting in the middle of an attack? A straggler... Mashyuu's blue eyes hurried as he scanned the crowds of people who were making their way to their homes, running his eyes down the lines until he saw a tall patch of grass and a small child that was falling behind. "There!" He shouted and jumped. He fell through the air, controlled and flowing towards the half elf child. He focused on the earth that the goddess inside him allowed him to generate and cried out. "Earth Gods Sand Skin!" Sand exploded out of his torso and ran over his entire body, hardening and forming into a sort of lose armor that would protect him. "Earth Gods Sand Leap!" He commanded as he saw the deadly sign of orange and black rushing towards the child. The young girl tripped and was about to be shredded by the deadly tiger until Mashyuu formed into sand before over the downed girl. Raj unleashed his deadly claws and cut straight through Mashyuu's sand armor and cut his back. However as he did this Mashyuu kicked the girl forward and away from him. The sand on his body rumbled and exploded out, catching Raj by surprise and knocked him backwards. Raj rolled around on his back but sprang up on all fours and sank back into the tall grass, the last thing Mashyuu saw was his piercing red eyes. The girl laid on her back and looked at Mashyuu with a glare of terror. Mashyuu glanced over his shoulder at the girl, his glowing blue eyes dead serious as he spoke. "Find your family and don't come out till sunrise." That was when he heard Raj speak for the first time. "Mashyuu,
it's been a while. You look different but the smell.... Mmmm the smell is the same. And you're stronger than you were the last time we met. You will make a delicious meal."
Raj taunted the Wizard while stalking the Earth Mage through the tall grass. Showing no fear, Mashyuu stepped forward and entered the tall grass, deciding that he would defeat Raj on the animals terms if needed. "Raj, I don't want to hurt you but if you don't calm down and end this madness I'll have no choice. And that spell that hit you, it was one of my weakest." He warned the tiger, in an attempt to both buy time and find sense where the tiger was treading with his tremor sense ability.

Post by redheadedstepchild 18th March 2017, 7:05 pm

Step after step, Mashyuu could sense Raj gaining ground on the Wizard until the Tiger started to take off at a near break neck speed. Mashyuu's eyes went wide, not with fear but shock at how fast the tiger could actually move. It wasn't magic that made him so fast but pure power. "Mashyuu, do you know where you are? You're- In the Jungle!" He shouted and flared with magical power as he started to zig zag around Mashyuu rapidly. The Earth God took a defensive stance and started to hold his ground, waiting for the moment he needed to strike. From out of nowhere Raj appeared at Mashyuu's side and bit the Slayer in the ribs, hard enough to rip flesh and draw blood. Mashyuu winced in pain but slammed his elbow atop the tiger's head, to Mashyuu's surprise doing no damage to him. Instead Raj tried to hoist Mashyuu off the ground but found the Slayer couldn't be budged thanks to the way he was standing. Deciding it best to break away, Raj vanished again and retreated to the safety of the dark forest. Mashyuu drew a shallow breath and placed his hand on the injury Raj left him. He could feel the blood soak his palm and winced as he pulled his hand away. "Ohh you son of a bitch. I'm gonna really hurt you for attacking me twice." Mashyuu declared. Things weren't looking great though, the tiger had already struck Mashyuu twice and the Wizard had yet to land a single blow on the beast. Granted he really didn't have to if Hilda could find a cure of some sort in time. As nice as that would be, Mashyuu knew he couldn't take many chances and survive at this rate. Luckily his new scabbard was already at work, slowly sealing his wounds and stopping the blood that flowed from his side and back. The Wizard blinked twice and tapped his foot on the ground once and willed stone slabs up from the ground. "Earth Gods Stone Armor." He whispered. The stone slabs Mashyuu willed up exploded out of the ground and smashed into Mashyuu's body, covering him from the chest down in solid stone armor, grey in color that would protect him from any sort of harm, at least for the time. A wide grin covered spread over Mashyuu's face, his right hand drew his blade and willed it to glow with intense light. "Might!" Raj shouted and charged the Earth Wizard. He slammed straight into Mashyuu in an attempt to move the Wizard but bounced off him like a pin ball. The tiger bounced around and hit a tree hard then scampered up it to try to re asses the situation he was in. "Mashyuu, why are you fighting me? You know you can't hope to win. I'm more powerful than anything you have faced before. I'm a living legend." Raj taunted the Earth God. He couldn't help it, Mashyuu started to chuckle at the Tiger who had failed to harm him with its recent attack. "You got me off guard the first two strikes, but you won't be able to move me. You're not strong enough. But I've beaten those strong enough to do it. To me, you're just a little kitten still."

Mashyuu's taunt was one that seemed to make the Tiger furious with anger. Raj roared and shook the trees that were in the area, making trees and fruit to fall out of the trees. Mashyuu's eyes narrowed and he dropped to a knee. He would have to harm his own body in order to knock Raj for a loop. The beast jumped from the tree, its claws extended as it jumped for Mashyuu's throat. The Earth Wizard rolled forward and planted his palm firmly behind him. "Earth Gods Explosive Field." He muttered under his breath, causing the ground to explode behind him as the Tiger made contact with the ground. The blow back sent the Tiger sailing through the air. Raj landed on the ground with a hard thud on the side of its body. Raj remained motionless for a long moment before pulling himself up and stalking around Mashyuu, his dark red eyes glaring at the Wizard who was putting up a much better fight than the Tiger expected. The beast snarled, its maw snapping with rage as it considered attacking or running from Mashyuu. Raj wasn't sure what to do, most of his attacks couldn't break through Mashyuu's defense and the one that did might not cut the Wizards skin with his armor on. He would have to break it and hope that the mage had no more defensive magics. "Fear my Claws!" Raj shouted with rage. He charged through the grass, his long claws cutting the grass as he moved. With a quick set of slashes Raj cut through Mashyuu's stone armor, forcing it to clatter to the ground but it was a bad move on the part of Raj. Mashyuu lifted his arm up just before the claws made contact. "Earth Gods Combo: Part One." Three pillars of stone shot out of the ground and smashed into the tiger, sent it up into the air for a moment before it landed on its feet. Raj spit up blood for a moment but Mashyuu was already casting his next spell. "Earth Gods Combo: Part Two." The ground under Raj split, swallowing him whole and compressed, crushing the tiger. The Tiger screamed in pain while Mashyuu pulled his left arm back and lined up a strike. His right hand pushed his sword back into the scabbard and sand exploded out and formed a large sickle. As the Tiger was ejected from the ground Mashyuu shouted. "Earth Gods Combo: Part Three!" He rached forward and slashed his arm through the air at the tiger, cutting it deeply with his sand weapon. He came to a stop behind the Tiger and smiled wide, he could already feel the sand absorbing the moisture in Raj, weakening the beast. Raj let out a meek yelp and hit the ground with a thud, near lifeless as he laid, unable to defend himself from any more of Mashyuu's attacks. The Earth God turned around and looked at Raj with sorrow. He didn't want to hurt the Tiger but he had no choice.

    Part Four: Endings and Beginnings.

Mashyuu took deep breaths of air and bent his knees to grab the beautiful tiger. He hoisted Raj up over his shoulder and made his way back to the tree where Hilda was working on a cure. On the way he ran into Itsu and gave her a knowing nod, understanding that she too had gone through a draining battle and the two wouldn't last long against all the flying furniture that was still in the village. Hilda had to have made up a cure. Mashyuu and Itsu together made their way back to the tree and entered Hilda's home. Gently Mashyuu placed Raj on his large tiger bed and patted the beast. "Sorry I had to rough you up buddy. Next time don't try to eat a young girl." He warned the Tiger. Hilda stood hunched over a long table, mixing various colored liquids while muttering magical phrases. A moment later a small explosion shot up out of the vial Hilda was standing over and smoke rose out of the liquid. "Got it! She shouted. Hilda snatched up the vial and spun around. "Here, give me that quiver. I have a village to save." Hilda pointed to her bow and set of arrows only to have them gently tossed at her by Itsu. Hilda and Mashyuu raced up to the top of the tree while Itsu took a small sample of the potion and applied it to Raj, curing him of the curse that was ailing the majestic tiger. Up on the top of the tree Hilda and Mashyuu both produced their bows. Hilda spoke a magic word and dabbed Mashyuu's cross in the vial, enchanting his magical arrows in the cure for the haywire spell. Hilda and Mashyuu stood back to back and fired off a series of blasts that smashed into all the flying furniture, sending them to the floor, no longer possessed or mad.

Back inside, Itsu, Mashyuu, and Hilda sat around a round table and conversed "Like I said earlier. That sword wasn't made by me. I want to take credit for it but that was made by the Lady of the Lake. But the fact that it found you is a good thing. You are a truly great wizard and that weapon can do amazing things in the hands of someone who is kind hearted. Now, how can I repay you?" Mashyuu thought for a moment while looking around and spotted a crystal ball. "Can you tell fortunes? If so I have a stray strand of hair from someone who I care about a great deal. She needs help and I want to do what I can for her." "Thank you for all your help Hilda, I truly owe you one. But now I have to go, help my friend and restore her memories before its to late and she can't recover. I'll be in touch though." Mashyuu hugged Hilda and the two Sabertooth Wizards headed for home, ready to try and help Kenna...
