Gashadokuro: The Gashadokuro is a rare type of demon thought to be nothing more than a myth originating from Midi. They are said to be the embodiment of gluttony, appearing pasted midnight to devour traveling humans that wander into their territory. Legend has it that a Gashadokuro is made through ritual that uses the bones of human being that died of starvation as a medium. When she eats something, she is really just allowing it to be consumed by an all-devouring flame. Because of the circumstances that she was created in, her hunger can never be satisfied, so she is almost always eating something.
Personality:
Mirabell is a lonely creature that only seems to care about one thing; eating. Upon first glance, she appeared to be an eccentric young girl with a very large appetite for junk food. Her facial expression is usually a rather dull and emotionless one. This is actually partially because she does not know how to make facial expressions, but more so due to the fact that she doesn't really have any emotions to begin with. She is never happy, sad, angry, or (most importantly) satisfied. Her only desire seems too be eating whatever she can get her hands on. Most of the time she settles for junk food and sweets, but she is not afraid to eat the body and soul of a human being if the opportunity presents itself. Mirabell is very detached from humans. She does not really hold any real opinions about the human race as a whole, other than the idea that they all taste the same. She does seem to go out of her way though to eat humans that over indulge, which is ironic seeing that she herself doesn't seem to stop eating.
In battle, Mirabell is more or less the same. She does not particularly like fighting, but does not really shy away from it when it is the easiest/fastest course of action. She simply does whatever will put food in her mouth quicker. The type of magic she uses to fight is not one that requires her human body to make any a lot of gestures, so even in combat she looks like she is just carelessly snacking and daydreaming. She is a loner by nature, so she had very little experience leading or being led in battle. If she was asked to lead though, her limited communication skills and blatant disregard for the wellbeing of others would certainly put her and her subordinate at a major disadvantage. The goes the same, though to a less extent, if she as forced to work under a leader. In battle, she does what is best for her. Mirabell just doesn't have the emotional capacity to do otherwise.
Likes:
Eating: "...I'm hungry." Like might not be the right word to describe her relationship with food. Everything she eats takes more or less the same for her. As a Gashadokuro though, her primary function is to constantly by trying to satisfy and unsatisfiable hunger. MM described her existence as one of both contradiction and suffering. The more she eats, the more she wants.
Destroying: "...I'm still hungry." The flames what her curse produces is another way that she "eats." When she eats through her human body, she is actually just allowing whatever she eats to be consumed by her flame. When she fights, she is able to consume more things with her flame, which is basically the same at eating to her.
Dislikes:
Gluttons: "I don't think you know what gluttony truely is." As ironic as this might seem as an embodiment of gluttony, MM does not seem to like gluttons. Gluttony by definition is overeating, and as someone who feels like she is famished 24/7, seeing someone eat past satisfaction annoys her.
Suffering: "Sometimes...When I'm still. I hear them..." The ritual used to create Gashadokuro involves a sacrifice of several human beings. For the ritual to work correctly though, the humans need to die of starvation on an alter. MM can sometimes hear the souls of humans that suffered for her to be spawned. Because of this, she doesn't seem to like it when she sees other living things suffering, since she knows better than another how that feels.
Motivations:
Satisfying her hunger: Her desire to satisfy her hunger is the driving force for everything that she does. Unlike most other demons of her kind, she does not just constantly eat anyone that she comes in contact with. She is instead searching for a way to actually end her desire to eat.
Finding her own path: Her whole life seems to revolve around eating for the sake of eating. She wants to end her hungry so that she can find some kind of meaning to her life passed "what she was created to do."
Eating her creator: She knows that a human, most likely a dark mage, performed a forbidden ritual to create her. She blames that person for her endless suffering, and has resolved to kill them at any cost. MM also had a theory that eating them might end her hunger, though there is little evidence to back that up.
