A Little Spar

Recently, Alucard had arrived in the town of Talonia looking for something. Not any one thing in particular, simply something. Something entertaining, so most likely a fight, but not a serious one. So far, the only place he had found for a fight was the arena, but then he would have to send out an invitation, and that could attract people much stronger than himself. So, he had decided to just go to the park, and now was laying down at the top of a tree, staring down at the rest of the park. There was a number of obvious mages, the ones who dress and act differently than everyone around them, wearing strange clothes, holding wands or staffs that they don't need. One of them was even showing off a bit of his magic, as if it was something amazing that he could make one tiny fireball. Guildless mages had a much wider range of power levels than guild mages, since many of them never actually trained, and stuck with what they could naturally do. So, in the tree Alucard remained, waiting for someone to wander along who could provide some challenge to him.

Talonia felt like such a rather comfortable type of town. One filled with people whom openly used magic for any and every little reason they saw fit, it kinda felt like a rather "at home" kinda feel to it all. People tried not to blend in, which in some way had come to form their own way of blending in with one another in their own way. Some had come to look like just plain old stereotypical wizards and even a couple witches, as if this were Halloween all over again. In some aspects, it made the little red head a little more at ease with herself, but on the other side of the coin, she didn't really like the immature nature of their appearances, as if they could just dress normally and not have to really make themselves stand out like they had. Either way, she wasn't going to change their minds so why bother to complain about it?

As part to her normal attire choice, Madison had come traveling around to Talonia dressed.. well relatively normal. Normal in comparison to the rest of the town anyway. She had on a sky blue colored t-shirt with black pleated skirt with her red hair pulled back and braided down, tied off with a small blue bow. While enjoying her time around, she stumbled around into the park, watching mages show off little spectacles of their magic were a little more of a fun time. Whether they did it for show or for money, it was a marvel to be here to watch so many different types. However, after a few minutes, she trailed off from the large gatherings and to a more secluded section of the park where she could relax for a bit and find something to do for a bit.

Noticing the little girl near his tree, Alucard would straighten up and silently watch for a moment more, before jumping down from his tree and approaching her. She seemed different from the others. "You wouldn't happen to be a guild mage would you?". He had a glove covering most of his guild tattoo, since dark guilds tended to be frowned upon. He couldn't see a tattoo on her, but like he had said, she seemed different from this town of guildless mages. "If so, would you mind sparring?". He was in the mood for a fight, and he intended to get one, even if the only person to fight was this little girl. Besides, age doesn't decide power with mages, so he might actually end up getting his ass whupped by a 13 year old today.

It felt nice to relax from the walking trip over to Talonia. Having done this sort of thing for a while, she had a plenty good experience with walking long distances, as well as normally working out a little bit here and there just to keep fit. As a stranger had come to approach her, she looked over in a bit of a confused clutter from his question. A town of guildless people, and he asked if she was a guild mage? It seemed pretty odd that he would even ask, but because her guild mark was covered by her shirt, it made no difference if she told him the truth or just blew it off. However, she never covered up her love of spreading the name of her guild, and should this person be looking for one, it'd be a damn good time to do so. "Well, yes sir I am actually." She replied, standing up from a seat on the bench and facing him.

She would smile and give him a small curtsy before she would giggle. "I'm Madison Richter from Pharoh's Call, and it'd be a fun time to spar you." With a return to her normal standing position, she would wait for him to reply with his own name if he chose to before she'd continue. "And if you'd care to wager on a spar, I think it'd make this a little more fun too. Maybe like loser buys a lunch or something. Anything goes by me!~" With a happy tone, she would wait for his reply and with her same overjoyously happy look on her face. Of course, she did love a good fight once in a while so between the nice day, this new person, and the upcoming challenge, she was in a blissful mood.

Noticing his lack of money, Alucard realized he could, in fact, not afford to buy lunch for this little girl.  "How about instead of lunch, the loser owes the winner one favor? Hm? So long as it isn't too big or dangerous of course."  Assuming the little guildie said yes, Alucard would then take his position roughly 20 feet away from her, and remove his trench-coat, tossing it a safe distance away, then removing his glove, revealing his tattoo. "Just for fun, right? Oh yeah, and I'm Alucard Delante, from Basilisk's Fang." Then, with a wide grin, he would get ready to sling some spells, giving her time to go first.

Madi scratched her cheek with her index finger as she listened to hearing this stranger had no money. It was a little strange to hear that someone was completely broke, but maybe after the fight she could make it up to him a little bit. Giving to others always made her feel a little better anyway, so why not do so for this man. It wouldn't be any issue for her to make someone feel better, even for a little bit. "Just so long as you don't try to make me change my guild or nothing, I think we'll be fine, mister." She chuckled and took in a small breathe and exhaled while the opposing man had gotten himself ready to fight.

She was quickly caught off guard as he has introduced himself, and in doing so had so casually mentioned his affiliation as a mate from Basilisk Fang. Her mind instantly remembered back to meeting and spending some time with Sol, whom despite being a dark mage had come to treat her like a normal person. "Realiy? Well it's a pleasure to meet you, sir. It's nice to meet another member. Hopefully you end up as nice as Mr. Sol was when I met him. Either way, hope you have fun!~" Her eyes would begin to glow red and she placed pressure into her feet, stanced and ready for him to make the first move.

So, the little girl was letting Alucard go first? How polite of her, Holding his palms out so that they faced the girl, Alucard would summon a cloud of gaseous darkness around himself, stretching at the girl at an alarming rate. As it reached her, it would then focus on her, spreading around her, making it almost impossible to avoid. It would then try to make its way into her nose and mouth, to enter her lungs. It would be very difficult to avoid at first, but afterwards should be easy to get out of.

Shadow-Suffocation:

As Madi prepped herself for the fight, the man across from her had ceased all type of talking and simply began to attack her. It started with a strange black mist of some sort, unknown to her of what it actually had been. Her first instinct was to push herself backward for some more distance, making another 5 feet in distance from him. It plagued her mind with paranoia to be attacked by some darkness of some form after some of the things she had been exposed to, it seemed as though that dark colored magic he used only rocked her mind with quick flashbacks. However, instead of becoming distraught and shaken up, the red heads mindset flickered more seriously than she normally would have thought of.

Prepping her feet once more, she pushed off at the attack at her and swung up with a kick, letting the chaotic energy of her magic deflect the cloud away from her into another random direction. Hitting the ground running, Madi would dash towards Alucard with a fist balled up and ready to strike at him, swinging her fist and attempting to clock him straight in the gut. Should her attack connect, she would knock his breath clear out of his lungs and possibly setting herself up for more damaging moves.

Spells used:

Well, his initial attack was completely useless, but it would need to be sustained, nonetheless. Meanwhile, Alucard had to deal with the foot coming towards him at high speed. Good for him, he had a spell for this kind of crap. Throwing his hands up, the gas began to move towards Madison, and, as a result, around Alucard himself. At the same time, this motion instantly summoned a shell of solidified darkness around him. Sadly, he had already had to resort to defensive measures. Luckily, he had a cloud of gas that could keep her away from the shell while he recovered. Of course, he had also used a large amount of mana, and set two things on to their cooldown, which kinda sucked as well. "You're not too bad kid!" he would yell through the shield.

Spells used:

As Madi attempted to make her first move in retaliation from Alucards attack, she had been cut off by another form of darkness. This time, her fist was halted by a hard, dense, and dark barrier of sorts that had covered him and protected her from getting through. Her left eye winced shut as she felt a shock of pain from the returning pressure from her blow coming back to make her stumble a step or two back, holding her wrist as the sudden shooting pain had spiked the most in that part of her arm. As she had stopped to make sure that she had fully recovered, the red head have her arm one last shake, as if to shake off the pain as quickly as possible. Looking over, she smirked at Alucard comment before giving a little giggle and a thumbs up. "You're not too bad yourself, mister."

With a sudden pushing backward with her feet, the child would propel herself away from the shield and giving herself about 8 feet of room between her and her opponent. Not being one for losing a challenge, she wasn't going to try and go light, nor did she wanna overpower him either... "Come on, mister. Have some fun! Show me what your made of!" A playful giggle left her lips, not trying to taunt him, but very much to a first thought could misconstrue it to be one.
