Name: Yu-ri Obscure
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Birthday: 4/9
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics:
Although Yu possesses a large variety of scars over the entirety of his body, and a lazy left eye, all of that is covered up through magical means ( more on that on his magic section). If undone said characteristics would become apparent.
Personality:
Many noble warriors and heroes were forged within the Knighthood of Craft, a organization dedicated to making and wielding their own weapons and believing in the good prevailing in a world where the perfect rule the unruly hordes. Though in practice an organization that performs good deeds, helps in the defense of dark elements and gaining government support through it, there is the shadow side of this particular organization. They, just as Yu, believe in ‘The standard’. It’s a book with rules about the chosen ones, people with perfect physiques. These chosen ones were the one given the privilege of good education, the best of materials for their weapons, and the highest positions within the organization. Now you might wonder how this has to do with Yu. Well, Yu isn’t part of this elite group which forms the bulk of the organization.
Yu, though following the same believes, is one of the ‘Sinners’, people born with even the slightest of inefficiencies or warriors that have been maimed beyond ‘The standard’. He has been treated like dirt the moment he has been birthed, even surviving an attempt of his mother to murder him as infant. He was a shame and blight to his family, and this completely wrecked any kind of self-esteem Yu might have developed. You see, Yu is quite the talented fellow. He used to be kind and willing to help people for the greater good, but years of abuse slowly began to eat away at him. Compliments have grown foreign in his eyes, and his sole joy in life is fulfilling his duty, the only way he can feel useful.
The higher priests of ‘The standard’ trained the ‘Sinners’ to become redeemers of their unfortunate faith. To find redemption in a honorable death, giving meaning to a life otherwise wasted. It deployed the sinners, people like Yu, to dangerous frontlines, hoping never to see them return. Yu was more resilient than that though, and quickly grew to become the oldest member of the redeemers. The battlefields made him hardened, learned him to separate his feelings from his actions and logical thinking, and even created an emotional barrier keeping out any comradeship, for they never lasted long on the frontlines they called home. It made him more cold, more calculating, but in contrast to what it was supposed to do only strengthened his faith in ‘The standard’.
To elevate what in his eyes was perfection became his sole goal, but he remained an individual, and developed his own interpretation of how to do so. He decided to become the shadow to other people’s suns.
Through these events Yu became a cold hearted calculating fighting machine, not caring much about the motives behind an objective or the morals that would otherwise bind him. It doesn’t matter whether he would be facing the noblest of enemies or mere children, they are all the same in the eyes of the Standard.
Yu never retained much of a social life either, choosing to seclude himself from anyone trying to reach out to him, and ignoring any attempts at comradeship. He only served one purpose, and wasn’t useful beyond that, so why engage in sinning?- was his general though.
Likes:
-Perfection: Yu admires perfection beyond anything else. Now this is, of course not, perfection in the truest sense of the word, but rather the small things that would put one above others, like talent or a greater physique.
- Serving: Yu serves and only serves, which gives him satisfaction if he deems his actions useful to the one he is bound towards.
-War: His qualities are best spend when in the chaos of war, it’s the place where he can redeem himself, the final crucible.
Dislikes:
-Imperfections: People showing imperfections, or to be more specific, people who break his view of them as perfection are something he hates with a passion.
-Freedom: Yu becomes extremely uncomfortable when left to his own devices within the solitude of freedom
-Showing himself: Yu is, most if not always, covered in bandages cloaks and robes in order to his appearance, with a specific focus going on covering his left lazy eye, for it shows his sin at birth.
Motivations:
-Servitude: Serving someone worthy is something Yu deems one of his life goals, hoping to redeem his otherwise wasted life by aiding others.
-Elevation: Elevating those he deems worthy to new planes of perfection is one of his primary life goals, hoping to redeem his otherwise worthless life in the process.
-Death: By laying down his life for the greater good Yu hopes to become redeemed.
Fears:
-Failure: Failure is something he cannot allow himself, for he might not be perfect in person, but his actions have to be in that stead, so he might redeem himself through effort.
-Freedom: Being released from service and having taken away his one way of redemption is something Yu fears.
-Incapability: Becoming incapable or unable to continue his holy mission is a fate worse than death in the eyes of Yu.
General Appearance
Height: 1.87 meters
Weight: 75 kg
Hair: Shaven bald ( otherwise dark brown)
Eyes: Blue
Skin Tone: Pale white
Appearance:
Yu is a tall husk of a man, showing barely any sign of trained muscles, even seeming a bit skinny. He is shaven over the entirety of his body except for his eyebrows, and carries many scars on his body. Cuts, bruises and burn marks. His left eye is lazy and therefor drifts off on occasions, though that would be very hard to notice because Yu has the tendency to hide his left eye at all times.
For clothing Yu always seems to cover his entire body in bandages, also covering his left eye but leaving his right eye and mouth open. On top of this he wears a black with gold linings robe, and a red eyepatch covering his left eye over the bandages. Aside from this attire Yu lacks any other outfits, deeming them unnecessary and unpractical.
Guild/Council

Tattoo: Yu wears his tattoo under his left eye, covered by the bandages. It’s of a crimson red color.
