Retrieve the Rose ☺ Private, Job, Kaya

“Lovely Moonlit Roses! These flowers have been created with the finest floral lacrimas, and give off the most dazzling glow at all times! Naturally, they are very expensive, and are likely to be stolen in transport if we are not careful… Fiore is unknown territory, but that is where they must be sent. Please come to Bosco and pick up the crate, and deliver them safely to Fiore.”

Bright crimson eyes read over the job request again and again. It seemed straightforward enough, with little room for questions to be asked. All that was required was for the wizard to pick up the strange lacrima roses described so she could oversee their transport back to Fiore. It seemed odd that one would require a mage for such a simple task, but for a few jewels, it did not seem like it would hurt. Besides, it had been ages since she had ridden on a water vessel like a boat; it would be fun!

Now at the docks, the young vampire would be making her way towards the ship that was promised. It was in broad daylight, and to a degree, somewhat hurt the nocturnal girl’s eyes, with her so unused to the blazing natural source of light. Typically, she did her work at night, under the cover of darkness. Simply feeling the sunlight on her skin was enough to make her yawn deeply, quickly fatigued. This definitely would be a long ride… perhaps they would allow her a bit of a nap on the way there? Surely there would not be anything wrong with that, as she had yet to actually receive the cargo and be there to make the transaction, then protect it on the way home.

Once in the boat, Kaya would sit on the deck, leaned up against a giant crate. The midday sun still looming overhead in full shine, sending its searing and somewhat uncomfortable heat down to earth, the vampire found herself nodding off. It only seemed like a couple of minutes had passed, yet suddenly, rich, softer evening sun cast long shadows on the ship. Now in the shade, red eyes would slowly reopen to commotion as she heard the loud chatter about then having arrived…. Wait what was she doing here again? Oh right!

Lacrima roses. Making her way off of the ship, Kaya would find the crate described and speak to the people in charge. With no trouble, she would grab the box, quietly happy that it was not too heavy, and would make her way back into the ship. Once back on the boat, the young vampire would sit on the solid crate of roses, now wide awake to witness the voyage back, all while slightly thirsty. Well, she would have to deal with that later- no hunting on the job, after all. That would definitely prove to be a bad idea, and the last thing that Kaya wanted was to be thrown overboard for allowing her instincts and thirst to get the better of her. Thus, she quietly sat back, watching the dark waves on the horizon, reflecting the twinkling stars above.

The young assassin walked along the streets, though it was in broad daylight, it was slightly chilly, but the cold air didn't manage to push through his thick hoodie. So it didn't really bother the teenager, left hand in his pocket, and the other on his cane, he walked along. Though his feet made no noise, his cane did, he was still figuring out as to how to make the cane be silent also. His red eyes were looking at nothing in particular, considering they couldn't really see anything, being blind and all. He was still getting used to that, he relied on his sight a lot, and was still very much struggling now that he was blind. Though his sister, Astrid, was helping him out a lot. That just made things for him a whole lot worst, because he hated having to rely on people to help him do anything. Now that he couldn't even really cook for himself, or even just, walk around a house properly. It was really pulling down his formerly very large ego.
Though he wasn't communicating with her, and not really helping her out in the slightest, he followed Kaya. Using his ability to sense auras to know were the crap he was going. They climbed aboard the boys, and he sat down on some crates, laying his cane across his crossed legs. He leaned his elbow on the edge of the boat as it started to sail along. It took quite a bit to get there, and unlike the vampire, he didn't fall asleep. He didn't want to fall asleep, now that he was blind, his nightmares pegged him more then ever. So now he got them every time he fell asleep. So he had a lot of time to spend in his own mind, which at times could be dangerous, but don't worry he wasn't planning anything bad. Not at the moment anyways.
Suddenly the boat lurched to a stop, docking at the, well docks. The talking of people around the boat and on the docks could be heard by the young adult. And by the sound of walking, or skipping, whatever she was doing. He guessed Kaya was awake, he left her to grab the crate. It was hard enough for the teen to get on the boat without falling into the water. And right now, he didn't have any good feelings for water. She didn't appear to need any help, just grabbing the box and climbing back atop the ship. By a sudden slamming of wood against wood, he deduced that she hand got the crate and set it back on the boat. Then the boat was off again.
It was peaceful, a bit colder then it was, and with that and his inner clock. He guessed it was nighttime, with still plenty of time for the moon to fully rise and set. Looking up into the starry sky, he could almost imagine seeing it again. It was probably the only happy thought within his chaotic brain. And even that happy thought, was wrapped in sorrow. He closed his eyes, trying to keep an image of a bright starry sky in his brain, as he just silently listened to the waves calmly hit against the boat.
