Personality:
To a casual observer or a stranger Caliban, on the outside is a cheerful if reserved young man. His movements are in general methodical and slow. He's cautious by nature and his reserved demeanor is rooted in first hand experience.
He possesses a quick wit and often utilizes dry sarcastic humor. That being said, he takes awhile to warm up to an individual, and always keeps in mind the person he's interacting with before exercising his repartee. But, in general, he's soft spoken and free with smiles. The care in which he watches how people react to him speaks volumes of his past. It's not a trait often just developed without means.
On any given day he can be found in a interesting place. Serene and tranquil or rowdy and loud it doesn't matter. He seems to enjoy both, and watches his surroundings and the people who interact with muted amusement. More often than not he's got a sketching pad and an array of art supplies and makes liberal use of them on his outings.
It's not uncommon for him to spare some time to stop at an intriguing or beautiful site to draw or paint it. Rarely will he actually approach an individual without cause, but if he does he is unfailingly courteous. After all, its a fine line between interested and creepy.
Aside from avoiding Hospitals he tends to avoid the grievously wounded. He tells people this is due to an aversion to blood. This is a response he also cites for his mostly non physical magical maneuvers. He does not speak of his family, nor his past outside of helpful incidental anectodotes.
Caliban also seems to possess a thick skin. He doesn't seem to have difficulty letting insults and harsh words roll off of him. He knows words have power but as long as its only done in that fashion he can ignore a lot. He doesn't like bullies but he understands that their are just people in the world with a hankering to hurt and he can be stronger for enduring and ignoring. This does not extend to physical altercations. While he himself seems to shy away from unnecessary physical conflicts he certainly isn't afraid to protect himself and his friends.
In battle Caliban is calm and calculative. He may portray any number of emotions or faces, as the bulk of his magic is deceptive in nature. He strives to remain calm and reliable in moments of pressure, a habit of he developed in his youth. Another habit is his pack mentality. He is not a leader, and is both cognizant and aware of that. He knows he 'should' be. As his magic thrives on both adaptability and planning, Unfortunately something about leading a team escapes him. But he is very good at following orders and even adjusting to keep the bulk of any ask or plan in his sights.
He likes to keep an eye on his partners during combat. He's supportive mainly, though he has some options if pressed. He maintains high situational awareness and practices teamwork to a great degree.
Likes:
- Art: Caliban loves to draw and paint the most. He does a little sculpting, but he likes colors and uses them liberally.
- Observe: People watching is a favored pass time. He likes to know what makes someone tick.
- Magic: Caliban likes many things, but he lovesmagic. Particularly his own. There is something intoxicating about shaping reality to your whims.
- Blood: Due to his lineage and his upbringing Caliban has a taste for blood.
Dislikes:
- Bullies: Caliban dislikes anyone who takes advantage of another for malicious purposes. He grew up with it and never got the bad taste out of his mouth.
- Hospitals: Caliban hates going to hospitals. Unless its life or death you couldn't get him in one.
- Heat: Dry, hot places are to be avoided at all times. To much like home.
- Family: Caliban hates his family. Pure and simple.
Motivations:
- Personal Magical Growth: Caliban yearns to grow in skill and power. His magic lacks true substance. 'He' knows that perception is powerful, and a moments beauty can last a life time. But many do not see it that way. His strengths lack kick, but he's working on it.
- Purification: Caliban's history stains his soul. His families Cabal is one step away from a Dark Guild. If he gets his druthers they would all be arrested and locked away forever.
- Travel: Traveling is the easiest and most exciting way to experience new things. You can see and learn and meet people. It's one of the reasons he joined a guild.
Fears:
- Falling: Caliban's greatest fear is falling into the same mindset of his family. The desire for power at all costs. He guards against it constantly. It's probably a deciding factor in his choice of magic to practice. As useful as Illusion is, it can rarely cause the outright devastation other magic can.
- Demons: This is the fear that births hate. Confronted with his bloodline from an early age Caliban fears Demons, he knows what he can do with only a fraction of that power. A full fledged Demon terrifies him.
- Clowns: Clowns pervert color and art. Their dark and despicable creatures.
General Appearance
Height: Caleb stands at about five feet eight inches. He is not a large individual.

Hair: Caleb has shoulder length slightly wavy hair that's usually left down. When needed its tied back at the base of his neck in a que.
Eyes: Hazel with a great deal of Green streaks

Appearance: Caliban is a handsome youth. Though, with his magic who knows if thats real or not. He posesses strong features that define his face in sharp planes. His hazel green eyes stand above a hawkish nose, framed by arched brows and dark hair thats falls artfully about his face. He has broad shoulders, that taper to a narrow face and sets a definied physique.
His clothing tends to run in shades of blue, purple, and green and the varying shades. He favors open vests and billowy silky material that accents a body thats been well toned. His caramel skin tens d to portray henna tattoos that glimmer in contrasting shades to the material he's currently wearing. Despite that he's always meticulously put together. His pants are baggy, and also somewhat billowy. A scarf flows along his shoulders and a sash adorns his narrow wasit. He keeps an ornate dagger there but never uses it as far as anyone remembers.
His boots are leather and black or brown and etched with similair symbols to the tattoos that grace his shoulders. Silver rings adorn his fingers. At least two on each at all times. He has a silver hoop piercing the top of his ears and a silver stud in each lope.
But, one must consider, whether or not its all real or not.
