Name: Edith Fleur
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Birthday: May 12
Sexuality: Bisexual (leans more towards ladies and feminine men)
Special Characteristics: The word 'Petalouda' vertically stamped down the length of her neck in special, gold writing.
Personality: Her surrogate mother, Romiriarez, was very fond of labeling her Edith many things, but out of them, she'd often resort to "spontaneous" more often than not, and it was for a good reason, too. At a young age, the girl exhibited a personality that Ria would compare to the likeness of a firecracker, where it wasn't strange for Edith to demonstrate her charm by being a very cheery character regardless of any exterior force that tried to pick at her positive outlooks. Though her smiles are subject to many meanings, most of them were almost always genuine.
Ria, who had been a poet at heart, would also liken her adoptive daughter to an open book, since it was apparent even in her toddler years that she favored voicing her thoughts as opposed to hiding them. As she grew, Edith would later learn to better express her opinions using a myriad of emotions that were frequently very distinct and honest, naturally causing her personality to take a more colorful turn, and, in essence, also making her more susceptible to becoming irrationally blunt. Yet she seems to try her hardest to not come off as insensitive, at the very least.
Her surrogate mother was her mentor in many things -the most important of her teachings were those that involved her manners and overall sociability. In the matters that concern her treatment for others, Edith is predominantly humble and polite, taking great care to address her superiors with the elegance that Ria had taught in her best wishes, along with the polishing of her confidence to make her seem more approachable and open to friendly exchanges. Though not entirely extroverted, the girl eventually picked up some notable introverted additions to her psyche as a result of her confinement from the outside world; finding peace in solitude and opting to retreat into silence at a whim, to name a few instances.
Against a threat, Edith is, on many occasions, a woman of very few words. She focuses on her actions more than anything, and has little favor for lengthy discussions in the heat of the battle. Though she knows what camaraderie is and greatly admires its values and meanings, the girl isn't very keen on becoming the "leader" of a group and would rather commit to serving a higher power that she acknowledges, knowing that she can be very loyal to those that have earned her trust. At best, when presented the opportunity, she'll find ways to escape the responsibility or find someone better for the position. Her reasoning for this being how she'd hate to be relied on, not because of any selfish intents, but more of her severe lack of self-appreciation, since her biggest weak point is how often she begins to doubt herself and her credibility when it comes to carrying big burdens.
Yet Ria is persistent when she mentions the girl's general aptitude to achieve, since it's commendable to watch her dream of many things despite being largely ignorant of the true nature of some greater forces. Her courage and confidence may waver from time to time, but there isn't much that the outside world could do to leave a dent in her determined spirit, especially when it came to reaching for the heights she wishes to touch, with her own hands.
Likes:
✖Luciole: Luciole is Edith's treasured sword, an extension of her arm, a part of herself. The weapon is almost always seen attached to her hip, and is always a part of her excursions. Any activity that she gets to do with Lucie is instantly ten times more fulfilling.
✖Coffee and sour things: In contrast to Ria's avid love for tea and cakes, Edith is strangely more drawn to coffee and anything with a hint of sourness to them. Especially lemon tarts. The reason for this random craving is still a mystery for both, apart from pure preference.
✖Art: Edith is highly perceptive of art and its basic concepts. She likes to analyze the deeper meaning of things, and looking at the bigger picture of it. Some might say she has a knack for painting herself, if not for her self-denial.
✖Lilies: The girl is somehow drawn to these fragile flowers. It's a weird obsession, somewhat, because even in her dreams, she sees lilies. She's not the least bit bothered by it, however.
Dislikes:
✖Extremely sweet things: It's not uncommon to find Edith willingly refuse an offer of something sweet. Her palette is somehow very intolerant when it comes to too much sugar. She can hold her ground against a mild dose, but anything farther forces her away.
✖Too much noise: She can have her tendencies that make her loud around the people that ease her the most, but too much noise can give her a bit of a problem if she's exposed to it constantly, one that comes in the form of a headache and a desperate need for some peace.
✖Lies: She treats her fellowmen with honest intentions, and she wishes to be repaid in kind.
Motivations:
✖Ria: Her surrogate mother is her largest supporter, and regardless if they'd separate from time to time for several days on the road, Edith knows that Romiriarez sends her regards through the winds, cheering her on silently on the various ventures she embarks on.
✖Her memories: Even as a little girl, Edith would come to dream snippets of scenes of a happy family, where she as a child was to be loved by two older sisters and a wise, caring father despite his withering body. Though Ria refuses to acknowledge these "memories" as anything but fantastical, the girl firmly believes that they'd eventually lead her to know who she was before she was adopted.
✖Travelling: Before she settled down to mother Edith, Ria spent most of her days as a travelling magus, visiting even the farthest of continents among the plains of Ishval to respond to the people's needs to the best of her abilities. Among her collection of encyclopedias were her excerpts on her travels, and having repeatedly read them several times over as a child, Edith is sure that she wishes to surpass Ria's tales with her own experiences.
Fears:
✖Attachment: "What I fear most is...attachment. Once I get attached to something, I fear that I will lose it. That's why we only live for the moment."
✖Horace: Ria was once engaged to man who bore the name Horace, though their marriage never truly manifested. Over time, his once gentle persona had grown malevolent when Edith entered the scene. Suddenly, he'd express a strong desire to murder the girl by any means, which drove Ria to escape from his clutches. Needless to say, the events that transpired seem to remain in Edith's mind as a form of trauma that would forever make her fear this irrational man.
✖Trypophobia: It's unknown when she started to develop this, but it had been present even in her younger days. Her case could be considered a mildly extreme, considering how she'd often go weak (or hyperventilate, even) whenever exposed to irregular patterns of small holes or bumps.
General Appearance
Height: 163 cm
Weight: 56 kg.
Hair: Blonde, often tied into a ponytail.
Eyes: A greenish blue
Skin Tone: Light, though not entirely pale
Appearance: Edith's body admittedly falls among the more smaller women when taken into account her height and general figure. As for her sense of style, her general garb consists of a blue jacket with gold detail, coupled with a long blue scarf of the same style as her upper garment. She sports a pair of black shorts, her legs hugged by black, thigh-length boots. Her head fits snug into a black cap with gold details.
Sometimes, she'd switch in-between a track suit composed of a white shirt, blue shorts, knee-high socks and sneakers when the activity calls for lots of movement. Other times, she'd simply resort to various casual attire that aren't too revealing to suit her taste in decency.
