With worry for the people on his mind, the King of Navrick slowly walled forward into the courtyard that would be the meeting place for those that agreed to help protect him from any assassins that may come for him. He was not what many would consider powerful. He could defend himself, yes, but at what cost? He did not want to entrust his safety in his own hands. Surely see were already here, or on their way, and everything would turn to chaos until there was a clear victor.

Of Kings And Assassins
So this was how it must be? To have the country you loved invaded? For another to come to your own land to take what was rightfully of the people that had helped to procure it? The country of Fiore had declared war, that was a certainty. The question was, would Navrick survive? This land was not one of war, they did not have the training amongst the people like other lands did. Nor did they have the amount of mages that other countries had an abundance of. That was why they wanted the item, protection. But how does one explain that to a group with closed ears?

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
Hera literally came flying into the Navrick Capitol, as a dark red cat with white wings..wearing a dress; carried her streaking across the skyline. She had to avoid two huge armies on the way, one from her own Nation, Fiore.
The other had been expecting her arrival. Landing amongst the generals, she was led to the palace and eventually the courtyard. The blonde set eyes on another blonde, and nodded with a slight bow. As Rose gave a more formal one.
"Well...I'm from the Guild that the Magic Council in Fiore has banished. Fairy Tail. I'll be keeping you safe your majesty." the fire mage said plainly, blinking her amber eyes at the King of Navrick with a neutral and polite expression for once.
Rose's jaw literally dropped comically as she was surprised but pleased with Hera's manners. She'd repeated what she'd told her too word for word. Twitching her ear and swishing her tail, Rose looked around the Courtyard.
The palace guard was everywhere, and even getting to where they were now could be a huge hassle for whoever tried to attack. But it didn't have any Magical Defenses, the castle was just that. A castle. Nothing like any of the larger nations such as Fiore, Bellum, Pergrande. As a matter of fact, someone could just come flying right on in. As an Exceed she could sense magic in the air, and she didn't sense any...yet.
"The cat that's staring around behind me is Rose, she's the best swordsman in Fiore. In my opinion, she's just as strong as me...if not worse." Hera said as she wondered if she could keep the king of this nation safe from the Council's tyranny. They had gone too far this time. Sending an actual army across the ocean to another continent?! All because of some Magical Artifact that could supposedly control time. If Hera knew anything, it was that Time Magic had a way of fixing itself and was best left alone. Even if Navrick was to gain such an item that it could use at it's own will, they would likely destroy themselves with it or...be reasonable and lock it away, using it only for emergencies. Hera didn't know the King yet, but he seemed to have a good demeanor for leadership, she wasn't so sure who would come to try and harm him.
But with the frontlines charging on this dawn, she knew her job to keep him safe was about to accelerate as the battle began to rage. Rose just continued to survey the beautiful courtyard. It had about ten fountains in it, grass, and white brick walkways everywhere. A very open space, she wondered how often the King came here when his armies weren't deployed and all hell was about to rain down on his Kingdom.
"Well, when the fighting starts don't expect too much in the way of castle defense...." Rose would say as she would walk up next to Hera and cross her arms. "It is rather nice here though." as she said this, she had an image of Hera burning it all to the ground flash in her mind as she sweatdropped to herself upon looking at her.
"What?" Hera would say as she blinked, catching Rose staring at her. The Exceed merely looked away, and continued to hold an anime sweatdrop for a few moments before it faded from around her face. Hopefully her explosive Dragon Slayer of a partner didn't destroy the whole damned castle herself trying to protect the King. Although, as long as he was safe, Rose would suspect that Hera would call it a success in the end.

The capital of Navrick looked truly beautiful, looking around made the kingdom truly a place to behold. It looked like a nice little place. It was just a shame that an item will be fought over. Summer did understand the properties that the item apparently beheld, but she also believed that the item needed to be in a safer place because… well… what if someone else wanted this power for evil?? At least they will be sealing it away to a magic vault so that absolutely nobody else can use such a thing in the first place.
Sighing softly, she looked around to see the others that were around her. She got quite nervous, was she doing the right thing?? Of course she was, it was much safer after all. The fireworks expert was also sure that since she was with some people that she was sure that will help her and vice versa.
It was almost time to kick some butt, she was near the destination, but not near enough to be able to begin infiltrating. The fireworks expert didn’t want to make another move until the others have decided to make their move.
“You can do this, Summer.” She told herself.
“Darn right you can!”
“Squeak, Squeak!”
“Guys! I told you both to not come!” Summer exclaimed in concern. She was worried not, she didn’t want the pets to follow her as she didn’t want them to have a part in this. Sighing softly, she had no choice…
“Fine, fine, you guys can come. But if you guys get hurt, don’t blame me!”
Adrenaline started to burst throughout her system, the female started to get excited. Now that she thought about it, she was sure that it was going to be a very exciting adventure to behold! Even if she wasn’t going to do… well… adventuring.

So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back
Leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne
Tomorrow I will come back
Leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue

Crouched down deep in the brush, Ardere's orange piercing eyes observed the castle before him. It was massive, comparable to the Magic Council headquarters in size. But he was not sent here to enjoy or admire the architecture, the fire mage was on a mission. The Council had sent him and a group of mages on an assignment, while the main force was attacking on the battlefield, it was his job to go in and beat the leader of the Navrick; the King. While he was no assassin, taking out the guards and whoever he had hired to protect him would be his honor. Even beating down the king would be alright, but he was no killer. He was here to restrain the head of the snake and nothing more, the darker duties if needed would be left to others. While he had received some intel, he had no idea what to expect in terms of anything other than average palace guards. He also did not know who exactly was going to be accompanying him other than his guild member, Simon.
Staying crouched down, he was far enough away from his destination that no slayer could smell him. But once he entered that castle, it would be on, and he knew it. While there was no guarantee a slayer would even be inside, Ardere took no chances. Addressing Simon and whoever chose to accompany him, he was prompt, and quick. Alright, I'll take out the two guards here, but we need to make our way to the roof and stay low. There's a tower in front of us with roof access. I don't care what method you use to enter, just don't make a racket. Stay close to me, and knock out any guards along the way. Capiche? Waiting for whoever chose to enter with him to respond, he nodded. Sliding both of his necklaces under his armor plating, he tightened his straps and relinquished his jacket to reveal only hardened armor.
Utilizing his speed, he burst forward, knocking out the two guards with the flat side of his blade before they could react. After doing this, he used his blade and enhanced speed to leap from brick to brick quickly until he kicked off a small ledge, and landed in the middle window of the tower. Now, he had entered the castle and began making his way to the top of the tower. While he had no idea where the king was, utilizing the roof he could quickly find out. The closer they got, the more guards there would be. And if any mages were inside, he could get their scent. The game was on and it was time to get going. He had to be careful, guards could see him and his compatriots at any moment, so stealth was the only option. The fight had begun, and it would be a long road to the end.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins

Summer sighed softly as she soon walked some distance to get to the castle since she couldn’t spot any other people of interest, then spotting near a bush was someone suspicious, she only knew by the foot that poked out of the bush, must mean they were crowding and were too focused on being stealthy that they weren’t exactly noticing. However, she assumed it was someone who also signed up for same purpose as her. She didn’t think anyone would be hiding ever so suspiciously, but someone indeed was. The smell of gunpowder started to stink up the entire area, even though the fireworks expert knew fine well that the smell was no fault of her own, it could easily blow up anyones cover in all honesty.
Spotting some guards nearby, she panicked and she dived to the nearby trees, rolling before she hugged one of the trees and vanished from the vicinity of the world. She didn’t know she was such a treehugger. But here she was, hugging a tree while making herself invisible. It was working well because the tree was not moving whatsoever. Before she went all invisible, she moved her head so she didn’t have to move her body once again. The only ones who could be seen were Laysha and Stella, her two pets that decided to accompany her. Because they were small however, they took cover by hiding behind the tree.
The female then saw it and her mouth gaped open, ending her ability that kept her invisible. The man knocked out the two guards before they even knew what was coming to them, Summer found that pretty awesome to be able to knock down a guard like that. She was only able to do such a thing if she casted sparx and smacked everyone endlessly. On the bright side, she can do much more dangerous things like explode and others temporarily blind.
Spotting everything that was going on made the fireworks expert go on a hype. She was getting ever so excited now and she just wanted to knock out a lot of the guards already. Getting up slowly, she seen the man jump from brick to brick to get into the castle, however, she had a different way to get through that very same window since she was a very flexible young lady. Finding some convenient poles that were used for the castle flags, she jumped to one brick wall and then grabbed onto the pole, spinning around the flagpole before jumping to the next one and making herself hop onto a higher flagpole to continue her little journey. Not too long after spinning her body among all the flagpoles, she jumped into the very same window that the man himself hopped right into and landed with herself crouched down.
“Phew…” She said quietly, wiping her hands on her kneecaps, she stood up before she noticed her two pets were still close to her, she didn’t know how they could keep themselves up to her, but she couldn’t talk, she was a mere gymnast while both of her pets could fly happily.
“Stay near me guys, and don’t mess us up…” She quietly spoke out.
The other two nodded as Stella then flew into her arms to keep herself quiet and comfortable. She felt like it was going to be very unlikely that Stella would blow their cover, but then again, Stella needed constant care and attention, and Laysha could only give Stella so much.
Creeping over to the man she spotted much earlier, she kept herself quiet. She didn’t dare speak incase she gave away their spot, the gunpowder was enough after all.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
DON'T TRUST ANYONE
What exactly was a street rat good for? To most people, the answer would be essentially nothing. Naturally, there are always those annoyingly optimistic people who say things like "They won't unlock their full potential without help", or "Who knows? They could be a king someday", but according to Yuzuki Faerydae's opinion (which, by the way, is always right), that was absolute nonsense. Naught more than a load of crap to bring false hope or to try and convert stupid people into stupider religions. Street rats thieved, they dirtied the streets, they were absolute disgrace to the average eye - the general public could all probably agree that these filthy beings at the bottom of the food chain were good for nothing. Thus, this particular street that's initial reaction to the task she was to perform was to laugh. Hysterically. For five minutes straight.
Now, just because the people who were offering someone like her a job of sorts were stupid, that didn't mean they weren't loaded with money or something. Money was something that made the word go round these days, so why refuse such a chance? Within hours after recovering from her laughing fit, the semi-fey had made her way to the ever so mysterious country of Navrick, where she was to meet the ever so mysteriously stupid king of the country. Where she was to guard the king. Perched atop a particularly tall tree overlooking the royal courtyard, Yuzuki chuckled slightly as she peered down at the figures of a male, presumably the king, along with a blonde girl with a red cat thing beside her. Narrowing in her vision a bit more, it appeared as though she had only just arrived as well. Welp, seemed as though it was time to make her entrance.
Inhaling a deep breath, Yuzuki sucked her stomach in, pushing off the rugged bark of the tree's trunk in a powerful burst, the wisps of air that made up her wings extending to filter the wind. Using the insubstantial parts to guide her along the right track, they were gotten rid of as the semi-fey neared ground, plunging downwards at a frightening speed. The paved stone zoomed in before her and...
Tch.
Light as a feather. The elfin boots' toes kissed the rugged stone, chains of her weapons clanking softly against each other as she nailed the landing. As roughly cut hair settled about her once more, Yuzuki sent a cheesy salute towards the other mages. "Afternoon peoples, here to be bodyguard or whazzever for the ol' king." Not bothering to disguise herself, the strong Talonia accent was audible in her voice, marking her as an obvious member of low ranking. Not the best intro, but hey, at least it was dramatic.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
Aiyana's hand crumpled the piece of paper that gave note to her that she would be paid highly for her help protecting the Navrick people. There was no way she could accept payment for doing the right thing, not in any circumstance would she do so. The guild master had no aces, so the guild would fall under Mao's control for the duration of her time away from the members that had joined the cause she had for them all. After saying her goodbyes, and making sure she had all of her equipment with her, the celestial spirit would focus on the location that they had given her. Images had been sent, on strangely filmed paper no less, and she found it much easier to simply teleport to the location using them instead of the lacrima images she was used to. Memory, her pet and most loyal follower, remained with her as she did so, sitting inside her shadow and surviving the trip without worry.
From there it was all that she expected it to be. There were a couple guards thrown off by her appearance, though a simple raise of her hands in a gesture of surrender would calm them before she explained herself. "I am here in service to the King. Please take me to him so that I may take my place as a personal guardian." They were the only words the armored woman would say, her nine tails seemingly moving of their own accord as they led her into a spacious courtyard that seemed like it could hold a small army at the same time and still have some room. Others were already here, besides the King of Navrick, and the woman nodded to the others before bowing to the kind. After she was back upright, the woman would introduce herself. "Aiyana Shuer, Guild Master of Pharaoh's Call. I will not let such the unjust actions that have come to pass allow themselves to come to completion." Eyes would scan back over the others that were there. She did not recognize either that stood before her, though the girl seemed familiar. Not that anyone of them mattered right now, including herself, they had a job to do. If it failed there would be even more blood on the Magic Council's hands, and the bill always came due.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
As she stood in the open courtyard with her Exceed and the King, palace guards surrounding the entire place. She looked around it's grassy areas, trees here and there; white brick walkways in all directions.
It was so peaceful here. She had to give it up to the architect of Navrick's castle. Before she could say anything, Rose did.
"Someone's coming." she said as she looked up to the skies, following her lead. Hera could see a dot getting close in the skies, like a bird from here. Watching, eventually a young woman wit dark hair and sharp features would land. Weapons literally clanking around her waist. As she approached and talked, Hera would keep her arms crossed as usual. Before she could really say hi, another woman was led into the room. She had 9 Fox like tails that seemed to be moving on their own. Some kind of kyuubi. Wait...didn't her father write about a Guildmaster in the desert of this race? Was it her? Who knew.
"Hera Reyold....of Fairy Tail." she said with hesitation but firmness. Moving her eyes from Aiyana, to Yuzuki. "It looks like we'll be guarding the King together." she looked back to the king and nodded with a sincere look. She had already gauged that the younger girl would use her weapons on enemies, combined with whatever kind of wind magic she used to fly in. Aiyana on the other hand...she smelled just like a Dragon Slayer. But then she smelled of both fire and ice. It was incredibly confusing, even for the strongest Dragon Slayer in the world. Her scent was extremely mysterious. It was both at once, so Hera believed.
"Well then, we need to try to focus on damage while we bait them with the King...sorry your majesty." she would smirk at him a little. "Remember, they have a goal that we do not. They will leave themselves open trying to capture him....it's just a matter of time."
Hera was almost sure she could protect the King. But if she used her full power this beautiful castle was done for. She stood there with a sweatdrop over her head as she looked about. Out of nowhere, she caught a huge scent. Turning her head left to right, she recognized it instantly as her friend; Summer. A mage from Fiore. They were already here. Next, Ardere. A guildmaster from Fiore. A friend of her fathers, national hero of Midi, and fellow fire mage. He wielded the fires of a god, the way she wielded the flames of a Dragon.
Turning her head, she looked super far away from the courtyard. At one of the four towers surrounding the castle itself. With plenty of castle between each of the four towers, she nodded too Aiyana and to Yuzuki.
"Looks like we've got company." Hera said plainly as she pointed right at the tower containing Ardere and Yuzuki. "It's Ardere. This isn't going to be easy." Hera's expression got a bit more serious. As she looked back at Aiyana, knowing she knew Ardere as well.
"The mage he has with him isn't a pushover either...she uses Firework Magic, yes, Fireworks. And they are very bright, and loud, and will make you jump right out of your skin...harden your nerves now." she said, trying to mentally prepare these mages for Summer's magic.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
Simon had stayed close to his new guild master, he had recently learned the hard way to trust the man's judgement. Their starting position was one selected carefully, well outside the range of any enhanced sensory abilities. But of course you couldn't infiltrate a castle while staying at a safe distance, they would have to leave their safe spot soon. As soon as Ardere jumped the guards Simon followed close on his tail. He let the swordsman do the hard work and instead focused on his own personal secret plan. Ardere and him were a magical beacon with their high magic power levels, there was no hiding that but there was a way to blur the facts from any watching eyes. Staying close to Ardere, and suppressing his own magic as best as possible he hid his own detectable aura under Ardere's greater one. If someone was looking to ambush Ardere, expecting him to be alone, they would be in for a bit of a shock.
Climbing the tower was child's play. He effortlessly ran up the 90 degree wall, always a single step behind his guild master. When Ardere entered the low window Simon had to resist the temptation to just run all the way to the top as he was capable of doing so. But doing that would separate him from the team and reveal his ruse. Any action that took him more then just a few feet from Ardere would reveal him. Keeping that in mind he was able to keep a level head and stay with the group entering the tower with everyone else. As they made their way towards the roof for a birds eye view Simon carefully whispered to Ardere, "Remember if we're caught, ditch me and push forward. You're our hardest hitter so you'll be essential in dealing wit the king's personal guards. Who I am just assuming will be our toughest foes. I'm a hell of a diversion and am great at making escapes. So please don't waste a second looking back if it comes to that."
Simon was a skilled infiltrator but he was a much better fighter. His magic was just too destructive to fight quietly, if he had to cast a spell his cover would be blown for miles around. So when the magic council ordered him to infiltrate a castle in the middle of a war zone he immediately understood he would eventually be a sacrificial piece in the grand scheme. Sneak in as far as possible, once caught make as much noise as possible for his allies to move on, then stall for them to finish the mission. Escaping himself was unfortunately low on his list of objectives. Not that he minded, neutralizing that dangerous clock weapon was a priority beyond his own safety.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
it may sound absurd but don't be naive
even heroes have the right to bleed
The landscape before him didn't seem merciless at first glance; in truth, the kingdom had a fairly comforting scenery, if not for the advent of war that hung thickly over their heads. There was a sense of restlessness there, among the civilians, but the stranger in the pale hood wasn't the least bit interested in the dispute that occurred between Navrick and the Magic Council. The feeling, however, was something close to confusion more than anything, where his inability to comprehend the situation as a whole seemed to impede him from further expressing any empathy for either side. In his head, he'd try to rationalize the importance of his task, but with little to no knowledge of why the Council needed the King of Navrick to die at their hands, he didn't seem to find any legit reason for the entire scheme, apart from the risk that the time weapon posed.
He must've at least succumbed to selfishness at that point, perhaps unconsciously, if he had to admit. His presence as part of the assassination crew wasn't a calling he adhered to of his own volition, but it seemed to strike a particular spirit's fancy, more or less, and with much pestering and the mention of stimuli through battle, he'd later find himself there, awkwardly pacing about in his own space as other people gathered with the same matter on their hands. He'd been tailing the crew for a while now, seeing as he lacked the courage to make his existence known.
Torian pursed his lips as he tugged his hood over his head, deftly bringing it down to better hide his anxious features. His figure stayed close to the sidelines where the shadows lingered thick, as if finding purpose in averting the attention to anything but him. It was easy to appear uninviting and dismiss-able, he thinks, especially if he focused part of his energy into remaining as quiet as possible. Cooperating with the rest of the team, however, was something of greater caliber in his weary state, especially if he'd consider the weight of their objective and his severe lack of sociability. Along with his memories, his communication skills appeared to have dimmed slightly as a result of his amnesia. If it weren't apparent enough from his habit of spacing out at random intervals, then he didn't know what was.
'You're being too tense.' a golden-eyed spirit muttered, strolling across the spaces in his vessel's essence with a watchful expression. 'There's no need to be. I'm positive that this'll be a good experience for you.'
The blonde dug a frown unto his jaw, flexing his fingers as they shook slightly. '...What makes you think so?' he asked.
'Up to this point, you've only been sparring against straw dummies.' the spirit took a puff from his old wood pipe, the smoke circling like ribbons before dispersing. 'Sure, you've been on a few jobs to better yourself after the incident but...nothing can truly match the lesson you'll learn from fighting grueling battles like this.'
Torian rubbed an idle finger across the handle his blade, his eyes hollowing with his cynical thoughts. 'Are you saying that having more than half a chance at death is the best teacher?'
The spirit said nothing, but simply chuckled, dismissing his vessel's cold question before sinking back into a more lax position. 'Maybe. I believe that you can learn a lot from natural human fears. You're no exception.'
Deciding that the conversation was becoming far too philosophical at the worst possible time, the self-proclaimed swordsman drew a breath, aptly severing his figure from the safety of his homely shadows. The man who presented an impressive amount of skill and armory to compliment it took to the obligation of eliminating the first barricade of guards without much hesitance, and with that over, it proved aimless to keep hiding. He refrained from mentioning a word, still, not really knowing how to go about things apart from offering the other swordsman an assertive nod to his proposed course of action.
"I've no problem with it..." Torian whispered, mostly to himself, watching three individuals take initiative as they began to rush up the adjacent wall in their own ways. How'd he manage his approach was his problem now, it seems.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
Justin stood there behind on of his guild mistress's locks of hair peeking through it trying not draw attention to himself though that would be easy considering his size and how small he shrunk to. He had been requested to come with his guild mistress on this assignment to provide some support or something like that. The plan was simple but also very difficult for Justin. he was to stay small and wait for Aiyanna's orders for what to do and show to strike so this way they could catch them off guard. It was a decent plan and Justin could easily do it but he would still have to be careful. The hardest part was him keeping silent for this long, being the egotistical guy he was he wanted people to know he was there wherever he would get his grand entrance soon enough and to be honest he'd rather hang around Aiyanna for obvious reasons. As Justin watched as she introduced herself to the king he glanced over face palming lightly as he saw who they were working with. two other women had show up for there cause and they were amazing looking...but Justin knew now was time for work he could hit on...er compliment them later after it was all said and done. Besides he got to make a grand entrance soon enough so hopefully people will be impressed.
He sighed as he stood there looking as the girl who had introduced herself as Hera Reynolds introduced her self he looked at the other girl but stayed quiet until he heard Hear mention that someone had arrived as he listened to the run down on his opponents he sighted looking at his guild mistress then whispering directly to her ear so no one would hear him "call out my first target..." he would say obviously ready to do his thing if he must however he knew some of these people were more experienced and more powerful then him s he was will to take a back seat role for now. with that he jumped off her down her back and used his wires right as he was near the floor he used his wires to swing around and get towards them. due to his size being smaller the an ant and the camouflage from the floor and the mages in the room he was fairly confident he would not be seen espicailly since in this tiny form he didn't radiate magic so he shouldn't be sensed as well
As he got behind them he sighed deeply but silently as he swung around behind them latching to a nearby wall observing them. Aiyanna was familiar with Justins sent so she sound know a rough location from him as he waited to see how things would play out and who would make the first move. As he scanned the battle field he sighed hoping his time would be soon though he knew the delicacy of this situation so timing was important. He waited watching everything listing to everythhing and thinking of a cool line to possibly say when he appeared after all first impressions are important no matter what situation your in.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
This country looked to be amazingly different as compared to Fiore, however at the same time it felt as though it was off of that of the same land. The same internal connection between the lands, however that in it of itself was something only she could feel. A creation of the Earth itself, the blonde bunny walked along it acting as if her origins were not of the thing she stepped on constantly, sometimes even slept on. Never the less, she never shared anything of the sort regarding what she was and made her become what she was today if she could help to do so. Even then, the act of her fear just made things much easier to be able to get these things kept from others. Something about taking a curse and making it into a bit of a blessing.
As for what she was doing in this country? Well... That wasn't something entirely remembered why to be honest. She knew herself and some of her members had come over to this country under orders from the Council, which was new to her. It took explaining who the Magic Council was to realize whom she reported things to and why things continued to pop up in her office. At the very least that had cleared up one pending mystery since she took charge of things for her guild. Of course there were tons of things to learn, but that was half the fun of doing it. Maybe if she got together with Aiyana some time soon, she'd be able to take a couple lessons in trying to run a guild. Being that she was the only person she got to know whom was one of course, it was a no-brainer in whom would be the best candidate of choice.
Following the voiced guide of her papa, she maneuvered within the area surrounding this large castle, not really knowing where she herself had been going. All she knew was she was going alone, she was very oblivious to everything else around her, which made the chances of detecting her magically little to none, even for someone whom did so very often or with high efficiency. As for her oblivious nature, she halted in movement as she planted face first into the wall of the castle, stumbling back for a second and rubbing her face. "Who the hell builds a wall in like, the middle of nowhere..." Pouting, she'd look up at the very extensive wall in front of her, looking down at the ground and stomping on it. "Climb it? Are you, like nuts or something?" With a hesitant, low growl, she huffed and began to climb the wall bit by bit until she hit the top.
Not that this feat took her little time. Pausing at open window like entrances and then hoping up to continue her adventurous activity took her a few minutes, to which familiar voices had caused her bunny ears to wiggle and twitch. At least it was a happy feeling that motivated her through the rest of her venture to the top. Pulling herself over the top, she would find herself sitting atop a wall with people in the distance. 9 swaying tails, though blurry, could only have belonged to one person... She'd hope so at least. A pounce from the top would send her down and running, pausing a moment to pop a carrot into her hand; her orange courage. With one loud crunch, she would chew and swallow, letting the mentality change of the chances of being wrong diminish before headed back over.
As she did close in, she found not just one, but two familiar faces there. Surrounding some strange man had been both Aiyana and Hera! Maybe this whole thing wouldn't be so bad after all! "Aiiiiiiiyyyyaaaaannnnnaaa!~ Heeerrrraaa!~" She yelled out, running into the open toward them, one hand holding her half eaten carrot, the other waving high in the air. Skidding to a stop, she'd take another chunk of her carrot and begin to chew, excited to see them both. "Hey 'dere! How you ladiesh been?" Swallowing, she'd laugh happily, as if she had been a completely different person than whom she had normally been.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
One by one, that was how the hired help would trickle in. It was costly, hiring so many to help for something this major. Though his personal wallet ran dry, the people had also helped in their donations to acquire help from mercenary and mage alike. They knew the danger they were in, and they knew the price that had to be paid. Once they had all introduced themselves, to himself and the others, he would speak up so they knew exactly what was going on. Yes, they were already under attack, but he required certain....tasks of them during this. "Thank you for leaving the safety of your homelands to come to my aid. I know it was a long journey, and that nothing here is of your concern, and I am sorry to have you all get involved. If we had the magical presence that Fiore had we would have no need, but we are a people lacking in that aspect. I know the fighting will begin, but I ask that you kill no one and do no permanent harm at all costs. I wish to talk to them, if at all possible, and find out why they would help in such a dark deed on another."
The man's words were solemn, the weight of an entire country on his shoulders. If he died they would have to find another, if anyone survived the purge that the Magic Council was sure to pull on them. All over a magic item that did nothing but alter the perception of time no less. A great sigh would leave his lips before he drew a basic sword from the scabbard at his side, the beautifully decorated blade shining in the light as he raised it up. "For Navrick, and those that help us! Give us victory this day!" The should was something his family had done in every battle as far back as could be remembered, and he would allow his magic to flow out so that those with him could feel their effects. It was time to fight, or to talk those that did not wish to out of it. But...one thing was wrong. Who was the girl with the bunny ears? She was not hired, was she? Was she an enemy? Or one that had been hired without his knowledge.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
Hera stood and put her fists together in a single motion as she smiled at the King of Navrick's statements. Although she didn't look at him. To him, he would see only her back as an explosion of magic violently erupted outward; although harmless to allies. Hera then inhaled a literal ton of wind from on high, and the environment around her.
Flames and fire literally danced around Hera's features as she seemed every now and then to have flames just jumping off of random body parts out of nowhere. Lowering her fists to her side, her Exceed then held out a paw and walked up as a huge burst of magic exploded out from her, ruffling clothing and even bushes in the garden. A katana ReQuipped into her hand instantly as she stepped up next to Hera.
"Ready Hera...let's not hold back. This is for the people of Fiore." she said as magic speckled off of the katana, until it summoned itself completely. Hera would only nod as she sniffed the air with a funny expression shown for a moment.
"Yea, let's invade because they have weapons of mass destruction!!! I swear I've..heard that somewhere before." Hera said as she blinked a few times, flames licking off her eyelashes as she did so. In deep thought about nothing for a moment, she shrugged. "Anyways, the Magic Council deserves to lose this war, innocent life...people with families on the battlefield now..for now reason....so let's make it happen." Hera said as she crouched once. "Uh...sorry Mr. King but...your castle might take some damage...." she said with a sweatdrop in her crouched pose before she took off.
A literal explosion would go off as Hera dipped forward, leaving behind two flaming trails she ran so fast. With a single frontflip she took to the air, caught by her Exceed who rocketed her forward with a barrel roll in flight, holding on tight. Examining the castle from above. It was beautiful.
But Navrick lacked the magical defenses of Fiore, or the technological ones of Bosco. So Hera literally just cruised around with Rose in the skies above the castle. Four courtyards, the main courtyard in the middle. Four skyscraper sized towers. She smelled Ardere, and Summer in one of the towers...along with who she hoped wasn't Simon.
"Rose that tower there!" as soon as she said this her Exceed took off as Hera inhaled a massive amount of Magic Power that literally yanked torches out from everywhere around them, including likely the tower they were in. As all torch flame would magically float and yank out the windows.
Fire Dragon's Roar (100HP if hit!)
Approaching with Rose, Hera would unleash a huge roar of flames upon the tower itself; directly toward the group of three immediately inside. The tower literally shattered in half and tumbled downward in a huge explosion of flames as Hera and Rose did a pass. Looping back again, Hera would watch the tower crumble like something out of Lord of the Rings in Fire, and approach again.
"Rose! Take Ardere for now! I've got to pay a visit to some friends! Don't cut him up to bad!" as she said this, she and her Exceed would separate and flip down perfectly in unison; landing through the smoke after a few frontflips. As soon as Rose noticed Ardere, she would sigh to herself as memories of times when they had worked together with Hera's father came to mind.
Flapping her white wings once, clearing a bit of smoke; she would take off in a fancy spiral towards Ardere. Katana of Extalia (51 HP if hit!)
Her katana re-appearing in a flash, she would move through the smoke with two bright flashing slashes that literally shaved the ground apart as the flying cat looped around Ardere. After the two slashes, she went into a literal frontflip chain vertically. She flipped like a saw after Ardere for about three seconds, and then would come out of the frontflip chase type of slash and go for more of a bursting slash on him; aiming for his arm; something replaceable. As Ardere was still a good friend of Heero's. But if neccesary, she would cut an arm or a leg off or both to subdue him.
Rose would literally dip around fountains and trees in large wind vortexes, through the air. Like a flying owl attacking she would attempt to slash at Ardere and attempt to smack his blade out of her hand. If he tried to use any but his strongest spells, Rose would merely cut the spell apart and come rocketing toward him. Pausing for a moment after a slash, Rose would flap her wings and levitate down in the wreckage of the destroyed tower.
"All out war Ardere? In the name of the Council? Heero would've negotiated and sparkled before the King on behalf of Fiore before he let it come to this....just what do you aim to achieve by becoming a butcher?" Rose would say, hovering and flapping her wings with a katana made of Edolas steel gleaming in her hands. "The army of Fiore are striking down leagues of regular humans in armor as we speak......if you want the blood of the king on...Clarent, I believe you call it...you'll have to go through me." Rose said pointing her Katana at Ardere and hovering high into the sky.
Hera heard the sounds of blades but didn't pay to much attention to it. Merely walked around in the mist and listened. Sensing Summer, and then Simon somewhere nearby she would wait for the smoke to clear from the destroyed tower.
"Fancy meeting you two here." Hera said stepping toward them both. "I never thought I'd see the day that Fiore became the bad guy..." after that, she just waited and paced in the wreckage, large cement and granite chunks and dust that began to settle now. Fire now steamed up and surrounded her in a skin tight aura of burning flames as she smirked a fanged smile. "Well then, whenever you two are ready...don't let your guard down. I'm all fired up."
Hera would do her best to weather an onslaught to gauge their strength, especially Simon's if the tales her Dad told her had truth to them. Summer's unpredictability could be a problem, but from where she stood. She was almost sure her friend was unsure of her alignment to begin with. "That goes for you too Summer, cast a Spell and I'm punching you in the face, girlfriend." Hera said, turning her head toward Summer in intimidating fashion with flames whipping all around her tightly, beginning to melt the ground and scorch grass nearby where she stood.

- Spells & Abilities Used:
Flight - Rose is an Exceed, and as such can grow a pair of white wings that fit her body at any moment. She loves to simply fly and hover around most times. Although she also enjoys walking. Rose can fly up too 100MPH, and 200MPH when she turns on "Max Speed!", and activates her Aera Magic. When she does this his normal sized white wings grow and sparkle with glitter dust as she accelerates and flies around. Max speed can last 10 minutes (posts) Rose has to recharge for another 15 minutes (posts) and fly at normal speeds before she can kick back into Max Speed again unless some unlimited random outside source of Magic Power is nearby as her Aera Magic recharges itself over time.
All Fired Up - With a noise like a volcano exploding, Hera's body is coated in an aura of raging fire that appears to be skin tight around her; increases her speed by 50%, and her melee damage by 50%, deals B-Ranked Fire damage to her targets upon taking melee damage from Hera. Uses 2% MP per post. Lasts for 10 posts. Has a Cooldown of 11 posts. Can be ended early by Hera, but still must Cooldown for 1 post more than how long she used it. As she walks, her footsteps melt the ground and leave still burning footprints with fire, quite a cool effect. This effect will trigger itself if Hera is dropped below 25% HP.
Name: Katana of Extalia
Rank: S
Duration: 10 Posts
Cooldown: 15 Posts
Description: Rose holds her paw out to her side, as the air within one hundred feet of her vibrates intensely with magic power for a moment before a brilliant light snaps into existence in her hand. A katana is shown in the Exceed's hand, it has a keychain hanging off of it like a Keyblade. Only on the end of a chain there is medallion that looks like the wings of an Exceed. The blade seems to shine with an unnatural shimmer when swung, and nullifies all but the grandest of Spells and Enchantments.
Strengths:
- Summons a single weapon that lasts a long time. Rose is very skilled with a katana.
- Deflects and slices through Magic that isn't S-Rank or above.
- The blade cannot be wielded by anyone unless it's by another Exceed.
Weaknesses:
- In the arena or a duel Rose can only nullify or slash one spell in half, once every other post.
- Only summons one weapon.
- Can't be re-summoned to the hand if you lose the blade. Must be picked up again.
- As a katana, it is a close range weapon and can't be thrown.
- Can't be used by any race other than Exceeds. Feels heavier than Mjolnir to anyone besides an Exceed trying to lift it.
Name: Fire Dragon's Roar
Rank: Perfected (S)
Duration: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Type: Slayer
Description: The signature spell and technique of a Slayer. The ground whirls with so much air, that it's hard to even stand near Hera if you aren't of a certain weight or power. All of a sudden, Hera inhales a massive amount natural fire from the area; putting out torches, fireplaces, and and just about anything else nearby as the fire is yanked away toward Hera's mouth; as Fire whirls from everywhere three hundred feet nearby as she stops inhaling her cheeks are puffed up with all the fire she's eaten and charged. She then unleashes the roar; Expelling it with a gigantic blast of flames with white flames crackling on the edges that literally looks as if she's exhaling a giant inferno large enough to swallow up Godzilla. As it is fire, the noise alone is of the level of a hundred jets flying by. The roar itself would remind Goku of his Kamehameha. The roar that Hera breaths out can travel over three hundred feet. After traveling for what seems like forever, hitting it's target, or when Hera stops exhaling the roar explodes in a huge sphere like explosion of magical dragon flame that bubbles into a large sphere of flames and twists upward into the skies before a horizon brightening explosion ensues.
Strengths: Is a Roar. Hera is a master of this technique after her origins as the daughter of the Lightning Dragon Slayer, training with Igneel and learning Fire Dragon arts, and can naturally use this once per post. Deals S and once from the carry of the wildfire stream and being slightly vaporized, and another 50% from the 300ft tall explosion of flames at the end of the roar. Hera can turn herself or aim anyway while exhaling the huge stream of fire. Is 325ft tall and wide, and travels 325ft before exploding.
Weaknesses: Is the signature attack of a Slayer. A roar is well known by a lot of wizards, meaning they will try their absolute damndest to get out of the way. Takes 3 seconds for Hera to fire this at an opponent. Can be defended against by S-Ranked Water. Can be stopped, or walled off by S-Ranked Metal. Is an attack that Hera uses very often, and can be strategized against. Has a lot of collateral damage. Hera sometimes holds up two hands under her mouth Ninjutsu style, just before firing the huge roar.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
♛
Blowing in and out, Summer had no idea what to do exactly. There was people she didn’t think she would see for the world. Out of all people, Hera was around… This deeply worried the fireworks expert, Hera seemed to be ready to fight anyone that was going to get in the way. The rising star had no way to go about it other then try to keep herself defended. Upon seeing what Hera was doing, Summer then heard some crashing, something was going and it only worried the fireworks expert even more that she knew something didn’t feel right…
This reminded Summer of the invasion she had back home. She couldn’t believe that something like this would happen personally, the fact that the invasion harmed her life in more ways than one already messed her up in the head somehow, able to keep such a composure while bottling up the fact that she survived witnessing the death of many; the many people that she could’ve helped save.
Summer, being a contortionist, managed to escape the tower’s bruising thanks to herself diving away from the gigantic part of the tower that was crashing into the area and then performing a quick front flip, luckily, Summer dodged it with ease and she couldn’t help but breathe in and out. The adrenaline was starting to consume Summer’s body and it felt good. Not following far from her was Stella and Laysha, Stella looked terrified and Laysha looked just as concerned. “Heeyy…” Summer tried to comfort the falling star and allowed the aqua coloured cutie to pop back into her arms.
“Squeaaaaaakkkkkkk!” Stella let out, showing signs of distress.
“Hey… it’ll be fine…”
“Oh my gosh Summer… That was… pretty terrible… I wonder who could’ve done that?”
“I’m not too entirely sure Laysha to be honest… looks like this is already going to be difficult.” The rising star shook her head until she seen what happened. Walking towards her was Hera, the female she met in the spa not too long ago. This agitated Summer for some strange reason. She didn’t expect it… out of all the people that could have made a visit was Hera… This was not going to go down well.
Keeping her weapon close knit to her as always. She carefully hid it behind her back as she held it. She was in no mood right now. What she did find funny however, was Hera’s threat that she was going to get punched in the face, the fire wasn’t so funny however. Summer had to back away for various reasons… The fire could cause a fireworks based explosion, based on multi-coloured sparks, it would devastate everyone… It would devastate anyone who was near her, including Laysha and Stella.
“Laysha… Stella…” Summer gestured to a neat little window near her that was undamaged. “Get out… now…”
Upon hearing their master's instructions, the two pets dashed out as quick as they can. While they flew out, they spotted a man who had blonde hair and seemed to be pretty goddamn clueless. Laysha urged the fallen star to follow her.
“Oh my god!!! Kind sir, do you need help up?? My master is in trouble…” The flower fairy panicked. “Master is near fire!!! She doesn’t like fire! Fire is dangerous for her! Please help, me and Stella will help you get up!”
“Squeak! Squeak!!!!” Squealed the little star, she also seemed to be in distress for her master. “Squeaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!”

- Fireworks magic strengths:
Strengths:
Burning - Fireworks can severely burn someone who comes into contact with it.
Fire - if fireworks come into contact with fire or flames, the fireworks will either intensify it or simply make an explosion depending on how big it is. This is both a strength and a weakness as it can go in her favour or it can backlash and hurt people that she doesn’t want to hurt. <<< This one will be mainly used I am guessing.
Nighttime - Fireworks are their strongest at night or at dusk by 50%, they are their weakest during the day time or dawn but it can still burn someone regardless.

Ascending the tower, Ardere's nose recognized a scent. It was the only one he could get a good enough feel for, but the scent was of someone he originally thought as of an ally, but if they were coming at him, then they were not. The scent was none other than Hera, the daughter of his old friend Heero. Not only was the smell growing stronger, his fire magic sensory was going off the charts. Along with him were Simon and a young dark haired mage. The speed wizard could take care of himself, but the woman might need some help. Incoming! Move! Pressing his hand on the wall, he utilized his crash magic to obliterate it. Grabbing the back of the girl's shirt, he utilized his vastly superior speed to grab her and pull her out of the opening. As he did so, the two fell out of the window, flames gushing into the tower. Dropping the woman down onto the roof below them, the Fire King unsheathed his blade, and performed a roll as he slid across the roof of the castle. His blade extended, he placed his left hand down to slow his momentum. As he did so, his sword burst into thick black flames, reaching up to ten meters in length. Hera had made a move towards them, but the problematic one for the moment would be her exceed; Rose. Well, not who I expected. A black aura shot across the guild master's body as he watched the exceed bring on her sword. His aura began to shimmer and crackle, as he powered up. The tattoos of flames covered his face and neck, as he relinquished his white cloak, revealing only armor. The exceed charged towards him, sword out. Deflecting her slash with his own blade, he utilized his max speed without spells and if she did not move at the last second, she would be riddled with burns, but not enough to take her out. He was nowhere near exercising his full power, but he was not holding back either. The fire mage was fully prepared to injure them, hence why he utilized his fire magic boosts in his blade.
I'm not here to fight a war. I'm here to get the King to submit and avoid further blood shed, as well as some negotiating if possible. If you're going to stand in my way, then I will be forced to take you both down. Even if you are friends. It brought him no pleasure to speak to his friends in such a manner, but his job was of the utmost importance, and they would not stand in his way. The exceed could post quite a problem, but with his speed and explosive spells it would be nothing he couldn't handle. He was more worried about Hera. If she was the first wave, then what lie ahead? Simon, take care of Hera for now and watch over this lady. I'll handle Rose or her if they pursue. Calling out to his second in command, he had faith in the speed mage to carry on with this offensive. The two would maintain a certain level of coordination, otherwise they were doomed. Attempting to walk away, the fire mage kicked off, bursting off towards the courtyard once more. If Rose or Hera attempted to stop him, he would stay and fight, otherwise he would continue on. But for now he kept his senses very keen, so he could sense or smell anything that came his way. Ardere very much expected them to pursue, but he was quite prepared for it.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
DON'T TRUST ANYONE
Oh jolly, more people. Having plopped herself cross-legged on the stone ground soon after making her entrance, she looked upwards at the strange faces and creatures – mostly human that walked about her. There were cat ladies, bunny ladies, sinister-looking humans who must have used a lot of makeup to look that way, and of course, some random super-powerful woman she had seen first – boring. Stereotypical of Fiore to have produced so many weirdos. It might as well be nicknamed the country of the weird for all the strange beings that found a liking to the place, including herself. Well… It wasn’t as though she loved it, exactly, but Yuzuki could bear with it.
Her eyes were drawn back to the king figure as he raised his voice to the group of bodyguards once more. As any stereotypical king ought to do, he began to rattle off a long and exhausting speech about all types of formal and heroic sounding things, but somehow she managed to figure out that he was trying to get them to just go off and kick some magic council butt. Easy enough, right? So what was with all the filler, huh? Maybe he just wanted them to look all fancy with that diplomatic stuff, so they better not kick their butts too bad. Along with a few others, including that one lady who had impossibly high magic levels, Yuzuki stood, stretching leisurely as though she wasn’t in the middle of what may soon become a battlefield, and sent a halfhearted cheesy salute at the king again. “Yup, got it, sir, on the job!”
She then proceeded to somersault easily to the top of the wall surrounding the courtyard, excelling in the freedom that a lack of magic wards had gifted her with. As the invisible sheets of matter shoved air aside, the semi-fey soared upwards, landing neatly upon the sturdy material. Here, she was in one of her most advantageous places: up high. Being someone with enhanced senses, she found it quite easy to cast them out below into the town, sniffing the winds that blew upwards for the scent of anything dangerous, or spying out a suspicious figure with a powerful eyesight that could pinpoint tiny details. It helped that the wall wasn’t too high, either, for if it had been, she never would have been able to use all of her skills in such an excellent way. This was interesting now, wasn’t it?
Calmly, the semi-fey watched in amusement, interest, and fear at the sight of Hera Reyold’s handiwork. It was quite obvious that the slayer had no intention of marking her arrival unnoticed, and she had no need to either, considering her immense power. A tower crashed where she had attacked, falling down upon several frightened mages. It was easy enough to tell who was citizen and who was Fioran too, something that Yuzuki felt was rather nice. No need to guess about, for every mage here wore very odd and foreign clothing compared to the plain garb of the Navricks. Maybe she should join in the fun as well? She considered the matter, looking back down into the courtyard at the king.
No. For now, the semi-fey would stay here and keep an eye on the king. After all, if an enemy snuck in unnoticed while everyone was out fighting, what was the point in that?

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
And so it began, Hera seemed to notice people coming in and went to meet them with an almost unneeded flare to her actions. Had this been a more casual setting she may have even let loose a long sight before following after the other girl. Instead the woman would keep her weapon in hand and stay by the kind. If Justin wished to do his own thing at this point they could, Aiyana had something else she wanted to do.
"So why are you here, Gisen? I didn't take you for the kind that would want to get into a fight with others, or get in between a dispute between two countries over a magic item." The nine tailed fox had only met her recently, going on a type of spiritual journey-like job that she had managed to terrify the bunny girl at the start of. Not on purpose, of course, but it had still happened! In the distance you could start to see the fighting begin. The sounds, the sights, it was something she wished those that lived here could stop doing overall. It was a waste of life, and time, and only resulted in pain and heart break. "If there had been talks and diplomacy this all could have been avoided. The Magic Council wanted the item though, and decided they were going to take it by force alone." It was sickening to think about it, but it was true from what she had seen and heard.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
"Alright Simon! Brace yourself because this is where your training gets dangerous!" A five year old Simon sat criss cross at the foot of a tall young man. As he stood in front of the sun Simon couldn't see much more then a silhouette, not that is mattered since he knew it was his master standing right there. Simon nodded with a fierce intensity, he had been training with god leg magic for almost half a year under this teacher, and thus far had found it all very exciting. Needless to say he was very eager to reach the next level. His master pointed towards the far end of the desert canyon that they were sitting at the bottom of, "Alright Simon, this is the longest straight away for miles around! Today we're going to test your top speed! If I'm right you should be able to break the speed barrier, officially making you a speed mage." Simon jumped to his feet in excitement, his master had told him many things about breaking the speed barrier but he still didn't really understand what it meant. He only knew it was an important rite of passage so on his master's signal he broke into a full sprint down the canyon path.
Now much older Simon was listening to his guild master's orders. As soon as he was warned of an incoming threat he used his incredible speed to fly out a nearby window and began running down the side of the tower. As he exited the window timed slowed for a moment as Simon observed the battlefield and he immediately recognized the threat, That cursed Reynolds impostor again! How long do they intend to keep up this facade?
"Simon wait!" His master called out in vain, there was an important warning he needed to give his student first. Simon of course wasn't listening and was already running full tilt. Then just like that Simon hit it, the speed barrier, it was hard to describe what it felt like at first but he knew what it felt like afterwards. Terrifying. Simon felt himself freeze, unable to move as he was stopped mid stride. It occurred to him he was still moving but at an incredibly slow pace, What'ss going on! I'm supposed to be going fast! Why can't I move right?! Panic immediately seized him as he hung their awkwardly, frozen in time, watching a nearby bee ever so slowly flap its wing.
Simon ran down the wall of the castle tower and came to a stop by Summer as Hera's flaming assault destroyed the tower behind him. A quick look around affirmed Simon's associates had escaped safely. Now he had a much bigger fish to fry, a certain H-Rank monster of a mage walking right at him. Even with the audacity to fall Fiore the bad guys. Simon grit his teeth and his face grew red with anger, "Fiore the bad guys?! The hell are you on about imposter! To think such nonsense could come from someone claiming my best hero lineage. Stupidity like that is how I know you're a fake." It occurred to Simon that Heero wasn't famous for his intellect and 'stupidity like that' may actually be a selling point, but he wasn't going to let good reason get between him and insulting Hera.
The child Simon remained frozen there unable to understand what was happening. Every second that passed messed with his head and fed his panic. He couldn't move, he told his arm to raise and it didn't happen, he told his eye to blink but it ignored him. He was a prisoner inside his own body. It was then out of the corner of his frozen vision he saw his master running towards him. That wasn't right, he had never seen his master move before, he had always been too fast to be seen. ,"Simon you moron!" His master clocked him in the face and suddenly everything was back to normal. He was sent flying skidding across the ground, but finally the world was moving again as before. Simon jumped to his feet and stared pleadingly at his master, "What just happened! Why was I frozen? Why could I see you moving?" Simon's master stood tall with a disapproving grin on his face, only he could make a smile seem disappointed, "Because you broke the speed barrier Simon. Your magic recognized you were moving at a speed your mind could no longer keep up with, so it speed up your brain to match your speed. You didn't freeze your brain simply sped up so much you seemed to freeze. As it was your first time your magic over corrected and caused that paralysis you experienced. This is a special technique speed mages use to keep ahead, eventually you will be able to control it and use it to your advantage. But to the untrained it can be a fate worse then death."
Years later and now in total control Simon continued berating Hera, "You're a moron if you think that king is some saint or that Vanrick is a kingdom of victims." Simon began charging his magma magic in preparation for the impending fight as he vented his frustration. He couldn't believe anyone would defend Vanrick knowing what the clock of infinity could do, "You had better get lost or get dead. I won't show mercy to anyone who would defend such evil magic terrorists. The infinite clock must be destroyed and I will melt it with my own magma if I must. They're flaunting around a magic torture device with a global range, and yet people still think their cause just." Every word he said became increasingly bitter as he made very clear his motives were his own, he was not a slave to the council's will. The infinite clock had the capability of recreating his life's most traumatic moment, indefinitely, for everyone on the planet. It would not be tolerated.
Simon would permit only the briefest moment for Hera to stand down, for he had no patience on this day, he reeled his arm back and in a burst of red light it was consumed in magma. He didn't like his odds against Hera in a fight, but his odds of keeping her off Ardere's back long enough for him to complete the mission, were odds he could get behind. Without wasting further time, and after making sure Summer was out of his striking path, he swung his arm foward "Great Eruption Fist!" His arm of lava shot forward, growing and expanding at a dangerous speed as it threatened to swallow Hera whole. If she evaded the attack would fly straight past her and crash into the castle's wall smashing through and giving the whole place a shake. If it connected, well it would burn like hell.

Description: Simon reels back his arm concentrating his magic power into it. Right before the spell is cast Simon’s arm turns to magma, that’s your cue to dodge. Then he’ll throw an overhand punch, and at the same time his magma arm will stretch and expand to absurd size giving him a 20 meter reach and a lava fist 5 meters long pinkie to forefinger. After initial contact the magma arm will fall apart splattering on the ground below creating a nasty sized trail of lava. Simon’s arm of course returns to the normal. This spell creates a trail of magma leading straight to his target from the collapsing magma arm, Simon can jump in and use his lava swimming to get up and close real fast. Adds 1 magma counter.
Strengths:
-Phoenix Pawnch!: Find me a cooler punch spell, I dare you.
-Follow Up: The previously mentioned lava trail sets up Simon for combo moves and a way to move around the field at decent speed.
-Controlled Power: Despite its great destructive power, its shape and the fact that it is directly guided by Simon’s true arm makes this one of Simon’s most controlled spells.
Weaknesses:
-Unbalanced: One giant magma arm and one normal arm don’t really weigh our even. If attacked before his arm reverts Simon will almost certainly fall down because of how lopsided he is.
-The Shallow Grave: The lava stream created is a bit shallow so any decent spell should still be able to hit Simon while he is swimming through it without losing too much power.
-Predictable: The aforementioned lava path is also a perfectly straight line, it isn’t hard to guess where Simon is.
-Hostage Situation: This is one of Simon’s most precise spells, and it is still rubbish in a hostage situation.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
it may sound absurd but don't be naive
even heroes have the right to bleed
The bright and fire-y destruction of the adjacent tower somehow became the precursor to the battle that followed, in his observation, and thankfully it had been loud enough to squeeze out a reaction from him in his panic. As the noise of falling foundations alerted his senses with a clear depiction of danger, Torian's first thought was to have his body maneuver in such a way that the energies from an activated Tejun pushed the swordsman's figure back a few meters, at the mercy of only being several seconds from being buried alive. The swordsman drew a sharp breath, his hand slithering to the straps of his belt and grasping at Kushinada's handle as he relieved himself off the safety of a nearby tree top. It wasn't until the dust settled and the rubble ceased that he began to consider the entire picture that the attack caused: war, in the most frighteningly accurate sense of the word -a declaration of opposing opinions and it was just his luck to be caught up in it, wasn't it?
In his head, he could feel the golden-eyed soul squint at his hesitance, clicking his tongue and once again, silently judging his vessel's inability to look at the brighter side of things. Though this had not been expressed verbally, Torian knew, that from the way he tapped his fingers and dug a frown into his chin, the spirit was in no way pleased with his moment of doubt, especially in a highlighted opportunity. Taking it as a warning, the swordsman pressed forward, deciding to resort to Kushinada's glyphs to reach the site of the battle itself.
With a swipe of an arm, he'd brandish his blade, and just as he was to call upon Kushinada's unwavering guidance to aid him in his actions, a set of unfamiliar voices rattled his focus, close enough to imply that they we're referring to him. Torian felt an eyebrow involuntarily curve upward in question as he met eye to eye with a fairy of sorts, along with a star-creature whose entire vocabulary appeared far too limited to tiny squeaks. Though he seemed neutral to their presences, it was their proposal that drew his attention. Not because of their persistence or their willingness to lend their help to a complete stranger like him, but rather, his brain seemed to throb at the familiarity of their words -fire, and a lady who was scared of it; somewhere deep in the corners of his amnesia, snippets of his memories felt like they resurfaced. But they were so badly vague that he couldn't make much sense of them, apart from the echoes of an unknown girl's voice.
Grasping at his temple, the swordsman would only give the two creatures a nod, gingerly lowering his sword as he addressed them properly. "A-ah...is that so?" he said, "I was just about to fly myself there, but...if you guys have better ideas..."
The castle was grand, honestly saying, and Torian was nonetheless worrying if his ability would fuss up in terms of the distance he'd need to cover. Heck, the fall might even lead to him dying even before witnessing the action first hand. If the two possessed some sort of method to get him up there in an instant without him falling to his death, then he could at join with the rest of the team in their attempt to thwart the Kingdom's plan.
There was an air of restlessness then, and if it were evident even before the fighting started, the swordsman would only expect that it was incredibly off the regular parameters of tension at the epicenter of the trouble. Why he was still here was an important question, but how to quell the brewing hostility had far more weight to it as a decision than anything else then.
Torian pursed his lips at the thought, clutching at Kushinada's handle tight enough to have his knuckles turn white. "...Khh. Here goes nothing." he told himself, as if it were words of encouragement to his already weak confidence.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
The sounds of large combat shook the kingdom grounds not much further away from where 3 of the people in the area stood; Aiyana, Gisen, and this mystery person to which the bunny girl didn't know. Her ears twitched from the noise, but the absence of her papa's voice was the more worrisome part of it all. Stuck in the middle of all violence, she was sorrowful over the earth's very surface each time something had spilled, cratered, cracked, erupted, and so on and so forth. Despite it all, a truly virtuous being was nothing less than the very thing she was created from. No matter the way she saw it, the fact of the matter was there was nothing neither of them could do about it ever stopping, so the futile effort on that part was easily scooted to the back of her mind for the time being, as it normally had whenever she brought it up to herself.
As she had been addressed by Aiyana, a smile that was on her face had drifted off into puzzled look. "Ohhhh... That's why I'm here..." She tapped her head several times with the tip of the carrot she poofed into her hand, wondering curiously back on the paperwork she read before coming over. "I could swear my papers said 'escort' buuuut, my reading level is horrible compared to normal people, so like, maybe I misread." She began to laugh a little before the next round of explosions would startle her, making her body fully shiver and regain a serious thought. "No, but like.. Fighting isn't something that's necessary, is it? I mean.. We can calmly resolve this like adults.......... Well some people can, I guess." Peering over into the slowly growing fighting, a sigh would leave the Demon Slayers lips before fully facing both Aiyana and the mystery man.
"Well, first off you both deserve a formal.. and current introduction I suppose." Pausing, she'd hold a hand out for the male to take, though lightly shaking, she bit into her carrot and the slowing of her bodily tremors would quickly soften. "I am Gisen Ceostra, guild master from Lamia Scale, best group of monster hunting mages in Fiore." She was proud to say it, adamant even in her belief that her members were those who could hunt them all with little to no effort. "Can I offer you two a carrot of some sort? Like, name a flavor and I can make em' shaped like burgers and and flavor them like any way possible! If it exists, I can flavor it!" A big grinning smile would light her face up, the excitement of carrots making her day all the better, never worse!

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
The girl known as Hera would offer an apology for damage that might happen, though there were other things to worry about rather than the integrity of a single castle. "The structural damage can be repaired. Just try not to hurt anyone too badly, no matter their intentions. I would rather everyone here live, no matter the victor." Renald hoped the words would not be in vain, though he was sure the woman had heard them before rocketing off in an explosion of flames. Arguments began to flare, others yelling at each other as even more prepared for battle against each other.
At least a few stayed near him. Of those, two seemed to strike up a conversation that he would find himself involved in. "I apologize, but I do not have the appetite right now to eat anything. But this fighting is something we all could have avoided. Diplomacy is always the way it should go. Why invade, ruin lives, kill others, when you can simply talk about the dangers of something and then realize that the other side is able to reach a compromise of some kind." It was his highest hope that the fighting would come to a close before anyone was hurt beyond the healing of those around here. Once that was done he could attempt a civil talk over it all. Maybe he could get these people to let the Magic Council to leave them be. The item was to be used in case of such an act that was happening to them now. Had the item been ready for use, they could have brought it to the battlefield and made them all think time had slowed before asking them to leave. Simple, really, but people wanted to jump into combat first. Hot headed, even those that were in charge.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
♛
The moment Summer was about to perform her gymnastics, she felt a strong tug at the back of her shirt, she didn’t understand what was going on because her skills were being denied it’s usage. She was then chucked out of the area and was suddenly experiencing something that she never thought she would experience once more. The last time she was being assisted by a male was when she was still a D ranked mage when she had to be carried in the arms of Torian back at the Ace of Spades. She wondered how he was doing, she hoped he was doing well.
Finally, the female was on the floor and she was dropped, she had to do something now that was obviously going to equate what was going to happen. She had to help in the name of the magic council! Summer didn’t need any help, she was a strong capable woman who had the flexibility of a contortionist. If she had to dodge anything, you bet she would!
“It’s ok… I urm can take care of myself!” The fireworks mage announced as she shown off the weapon she brought with her: her ring blade. Her ring blade was very important to her as it was a gift given to her by the blacksmith back at the village she resided in before it was invaded and before she was almost abducted by the person who she called her best friend, which was upsetting, really.
Suddenly, the two men seemed to be taking care of everything themselves and she wanted to join in too! She did, she did, she did! Mind you though, maybe it was best just looking over for the correct opening. She wasn’t an idiot after all. Just incase anything was going to come to her, the female allowed her hands to spark up into multi-coloured sparks, if anyone was to come near her, then she will smack them and punch them to smithereens. She made sure that the ring blade was kept on her shoulder and she sure hoped that she didn’t really have to slap anyone into oblivion… maybe she should have chosen to channel the multicoloured sparks on her feet instead of her legs.
Meanwhile, her pets were having some sort of issues too. The two of them didn’t know how to help the blonde climb the tower at all, Stella could use their body for the man to sit on thanks to her flying capabilities. But that was probably about it.
“I have an idea!” The flower fairy exclaimed. “We will get you up to help our master, sweetheart!” Laysha said ever so flirtatiously while they forcefully placed Stella near the wall. “Just place your feet on top of Stella and they will help you fly! Trust me!”
“Squeak! Squeaaaak!”

Name: Sparx
Rank: D
Type: Fireworks, offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: When casting Sparx, Summers hands or feet will channel and be covered into random firework-like sparks (depending if she wants to fight with her hands or feet). She can also use this to burn someones face in general
Strengths:
Up close and personal for burning - Anything that comes into contact with Summer while she uses sparx will have that part burnt severely. (if you get what I mean)
Weaknesses:
Choice - She can only decide from one or the other, she cannot choose both, meaning she has to choose carefully in battles
Weapon usage - Summer cannot use her weapon while fighting with this magic so she will most likely use her shoulder to try keep it safe or drop it while fighting with her hands and feet.
Charging - Like with Shooting star, the spell needs time to charge before it releases it’s full potential.

So you can throw me to the wolves
Tomorrow I will come back
Leader of the whole pack
Beat me black and blue
Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Taking off across the roof, Ardere found that his exodus was not prevented by any interference be it by mage or exceed. The Fire King held his blazing sword tight, narrowing his brown brow. Be safe, mages. It was a troublesome situation, but he was confident that the other wizards could handle themselves even against Hera, who had quite the raw power. Up ahead he spotted several royal guards making their way towards him. It took them longer to arrive on the roof due to obvious reasons, but within seconds, they were sent back onto the respective balconies. Sorry fellas, got places to be. No one was going to prevent the guild master from reaching his destination; the courtyard. He was so close now, that he could feel it in his veins. And being so close, it was imperative he did not allow himself to be overcome. This point in the challenge was too pivotal. Taking a deep breath, he leaped onto the ledge of the building overlooking the courtyard. Standing above the courtyard, it was littered with royal guard and a few mages as well. But one mage in particular, he recognize very well. Aiyana... Gritting his teeth, he condensed his flame sword to a regular size, utilizing his pyrokinesis. Standing down for the moment, he leaped down below. If his leap was not interrupted, he would not activate any defense or offense, but rather land on the concrete. Shattering the concrete in a meter radius, his body was engulfed in a black aura, a raging flame of corrupt nature.
I've come to speak with the King. Is anyone going to stop me from doing so? Scanning the area, he utilized both his normal senses and his slayer senses to get a good lay of the land. He could see the King who was a bit of a ways away from him, but he was at the courtyard now, so the long part was done. The only thing he had to worry about was being overwhelmed by mages before he got to the Pharaoh's Call guild master. Hmm. The black aura raging around his body caused any grass nearby to turn black and wither away, as the concrete around him darkened as well.

Re: Of Kings And Assassins
So Gisen was now guild master of Lamia Scale? She would have to have a chat with her sometime after all of this boiled down from where it was at. It was her original guild, and finding out there was a new guild master was a shock. The last time she'd been in contact with the guild was when Kihia was in charge. "I don not think I could stomach food right now. Not with what is going on right now." Aiyana would continue listening to the King and her talk before seeing a commotion a lot closer to them; on the courtyard. A look over would show her that it was Ardere, and his sword seemed to condense down as he began to talk.
Aiyana would listen to him talk about not wanting to fight, and that he just wanted to talk to the kind. Knowing Ard he would keep to his word, which meant Aiyana could refrain from violence until it was really needed. Clearing her throat, just in case, the woman would begin talking so that he could hear her. "Feel free to come forth Ard. I trust your word, being an old friend of yours, but I can't guarantee the other mages here will do the same. Please be careful." The words seemed to calm a lot of the guards that were there, a few obviously tense due to the battle going on from the direction the Infinity Hydra guild master had come from. Now it was just the hope that others would stay their hand so this could end with no more blood shed.
