Hunting for Gingerbread Man[Job: Haia and Summer]

Our mighty heroines Summer and Haia end up in Rose Garden to chase a delicious looking the runaway gingerbread man.

The gingerbread man is a weak fellow, with the punching strength of a biscuit but the running speed of a top tier athlete. Honestly his origins are unknown other than poof into existence. You can tell he is in the area if you hear him screaming about the Muffin Man. How does he scream? How does he run forever? How is the muffin man? Can Haia control her sweet tooth? Can Summer stop disappearing into the flower pots?

We will just have to find out after finding out how in the world did a guild mage and a guildless mage even end up together to hunt for a cookie.

Summer decided to chill out in the morning, it was getting colder and colder. Winter was just approaching, which meant Christmas was also approaching so Summer had to also get ready to prepare for all the festivities that would possibly happen within the guild.

Grinning softly she bit her lower lip while walking around Rose Garden slowly yet elegantly, she loves the beauty of this place. Even though it was becoming winter, she knew that it was probably only going to get busier.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a gingerbread man was spotted with Summer's hues. The gingerbread was quick, certainly appeared to be much quicker then the fireworks expert herself. She got very worried upon seeing this gingerbread man. It looked like it could cause heaps of trouble by just running, what if the gingerbread caused havoc around Fiore? She needed to stop this gingerbread immediately.

Getting up from the seat that she was comfortably sat on, she made a run for the gingerbread man, trying to catch it as much as she possibly could. She knew it wasn't safe to cast her magic in Rose Garden due to the population that clogged up the local area. She had to try catch it without using her magic, which can be pretty destructive if used incorrectly.

"Stop right there!" The female demanded, shouting at the gingerbread man as he continued to make a run for it.

"BUT THE MUFFIN MAN!!"

"NO! STOP!"

"But the muffinnn maaaan!"

Summer didn't understand what he was saying, who the hell was the muffin man?? She had no idea who this muffin man was because she has never heard of such an absurd name before.

Right now, that was not her focus. Her current focus was to catch this gingerbread man that will probably cause trouble for being rather fast.

"You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!"

"Uggh." Summer rolled her eyes as she continued to run, she thought that sounded terrible. The gingerbread man was getting all the attention and she wasn't.

Haia was strolling through Rose Garden, hugging her cloak tightly as she made her way through the population. She was not claustrophobic, but she sure was not the happiest chap to be walking on the streets. But at least one good thing is that winter is coming and that kept her hopes up. But the thing at hand. She had been hunting for a cookie to eat and she heard Rose Garden had some interesting ones.

She eyes a bakery down the street and makes her way towards it. Then the crowd came to an unexpected halt and she toppled, landing on her butt. She was about to apologize when out of the corner of her eye.

A running gingerbread man.

Her eyes went up like Chirstmas tree lights. She did not need to buy cookies at all, she would catch it. That would be fun!

Her eyes then fell upon another, a much more prettier, much more endowned and much more interesting than the crowd, woman who seemed to be chasing after the delicious cookie.

She looks around and start running, she took advantage of things like lamposts and street signs to avoid the crowd by literally jumping on to them. It feels like jumping from tree to tree except the trees are metal.

She slowly gains a clear sight of the gingerbread man, but the crowd was not helping. She needs a way to get the crowd away for a clear shot. A distraction is need. She spies the girl.

"HEY!" She called out to her as she grabbed hold of a store sign and quickly leap off it on to a lampost. She suddenly lost her confidence in speaking. She had forgotten what to say. She then collides into another lampost and falls to the ground.

The female was struggling to catch this gingerbread man, and it was starting to really become obnoxious. The fireworks expert just wanted to stop the commotion it was trying to cause and with the way everything was going, it was just going to cause more altercations with the people sauntering around it just wasn’t going to cut it.

Suddenly, Summer heard someone from above, the voice sounded like it belonged to another female and it only made Summer look up. She then seen the one that shouted for her attention fall flat on her face to the ground. This of course, made her stop running for the ridiculous snack.

Walking over to her, Summer picked the female up bridal style, allowing her feet to charge up with multicoloured sparks before. She knew that she could carry a few people due to her strength in her arms and legs, thank god for being a contortionist.

“Ready!” Summer grinned excitingly as her feet continuously sparked up, giving it time to charge. “Let’s go and grab this god forsaken gingerbread.”

Haia managed to recover a bit after her fall, her head throbbed a bit but no bleeds or injuries. She feels herself being picked up and looks up to see Summer. She could not help but feel a bit embarrased, one because her introduction was not cool. Two because she is being carried bridal style. She felt a bit shaky from the ups and downs from Summer's feet charging. She then realizes something, the familiar weight on her shoulder was now gone.

"My bow? Where is my bow?" Haia looked around for Orion frantically, she was not concerned about the fact that they would be speeding off soon and that a cookie is running around causing havoc. "I can't leave my bow!"

Upon hearing about her bow being called Orion, the oriental girl quickly glanced around to see it right next to the lamp post. She picked it up quickly and placed it lightly on top of the female because she was fully charged and ready to run. She let the speed of the spell consume her and she was soon running in the direction the gingerbread man ran.

Soon, the female caught up to the gingerbread man and was up to par with him in terms of speed. "Use your bow!" She exclaimed. "Shoot the gingerbread man!"

Summer hoped that she would use whatever her weapon was called to shoot the gingerbread man.

Haia hugged her bow, like it was her baby she had been looking for. She held on her bow tightly as she felt the wind rushed past them. She heard the woman say to fire arrows.

She reaches for her arrows immediately with no hesitation, eyes locked onto the gingerbread man like a hawk in the sky ready to dive for the rabbit. She pulled out four arrows at once and jocked one at ready, she waited for a clear shot, and released. To her, its all in slow motion, but to everywhere around, it was as quick as light travelling.

The arrow shot the gingerbread man. Summer couldn’t believe what she was seeing as the arrow gave out a clean shot out of all the three shots that could have been aimed for, two were struck on the midget. Summer’s magic also faded at that time due to her stamina and she plopped the female down onto the floor. She couldn’t believe that they managed to stop some raging gingerbread who was screaming about the muffin man… she still wanted to know who the muffin man was.

Despite being all out of air, she clapped her hands excitedly. She was happy that she could solve this issue before it got really bad. Taking a few minutes to have a breather, she walked over to the gingerbread man weakly and inspected the crumbs that the dead gingerman has left. It looked yummy, but she didn’t want to eat it.

She couldn’t wait to tell the others at the guild what had happened when she arrives at Oahu, it was going to be interesting to add it to the adventures she has experienced. She thinks that it could bring herself to think of more exciting stories, she loved telling stories after all.

Haia looked at the arrow stuck on the ground, crumbs surrouding it as her two feet touched the ground once more. She follows Summer to the crumbs and picks one up, gave it a brush with her cloak and takes a bite.
"This is honestly not bad," She said as she plopped the rest into her mouth and looks at Summer. "H-hey thanks for helping me up back there, and for getting my bow back."
Haia looks towards the light of a lamp post and reaches her hand out to it before strings of light appeared from her outstretched hand and gave it a whirl to make the words 'Haia Illie Starstruck'.
"My name is Haia Illie Starstruck, we could have met on better circumstances but I guess now is a good time?" She smiles awkwardly, thinking to herself how bad her social skills are.
