- Job Title: Duel in Minstrel
Rank: D
Player Requirements: Must be at least D-Rank; Own a passport
Job Requirements:5 posts. 100 words per post or a single post of 500+ words
Job Location: Minstrel
Job Description: Within Minstrel are the musketeers. However they have not just gained their respect through countless wins against the dark side. No, they regularly offer chances to duel against them, to fight and hone their skills. A newer Musketeer of C-rank strength has popped up, opening up a challenge to all nations of earthland. Answer his challenge, and duel him. It will be a quick no blood duel. The fight will end within a couple blows scoring based on style, and one more thing. No spells above D-rank may be used. No destructively lethal spells may be used at all, and no requip unless its a single weapon, but no using it's passive or active. This is a sword duel, and the use of magic must be very little as it should only be used for flare, or minor aid. Win the duel, and earn the reward. Lose the duel and earn only a quarter of the reward but you may still pass the job no matter the duel outcome. Remember, the duel will never go beyond more than a few actions, and the judges will base the score on how well both had dueled.
Enemies: A single human, female or male depends on who you wish to fight.
Reward: normal xp & Jewels(2k = win / 500jewel = loss) - Roll a hit dice (Miss = you lose / Hit = you win)

Re: Duel in Minstrel(Solo;job)
ooc: I hit, so I win :)
Today Sophia was in Minstrel, the land of powdered wigs and rosy cheeks. The land where she... honestly disliked the culture. It made her feel lost in time, as the land felt as if it was trapped beneath the weight of the world. Structures, and even clothing seemed way off. In fact, Sophia had remembered seeing such clothing be a popular thing many... many years ago in the books she had read as a teen growing up. Quite facinating to see that such a land still existed, but at the same time, Sophia hated it. Hated the feeling of walking around being stared at like some futuristic invader.'
Though it didn't stop her from doing her job. She possessed in her hands a letter that was sent out to all counties, and Sophia had taken up the job. well, as much of a 'job' this actually was. It was an invitation to a duel, and her opponent was regarded as one of the best swords women in the land. "Time to challenge that fact" Sophia whispered, having borrowed a simple straight sword for the duel that she was about to partake in. In fact, it seemed her opponent was one that would be using not the typical sword either, in fact it was what looked like a mix between a straight sword and a katana. In fact, it had the Katana look to it, but the blade was thicker, and wider, along with being double sided. Interesting, and Sophia took a look at the holder and began to see why. Her opponent was lean, strongly built, and the look on that woman could kill. She had been a warrior in her prime no doubt.
Yet this did not intimidate Sophia, whom kept to herself that she was already using her magic to amplify her own combat prowess. In essence, she was using the kinetic energy manipulation ability, one that added nothing to the visual aspect, but everything where it mattered. Momentum to Sophia was nothing, and her opponent was going to see why soon.
"Alright, Three points, or first blood wins begin in 3.... 2... 1."
The smile on Sophia's face turned to a blank expression as she held her blade to the side, getting into a stance she was most comfortable with before slowly positioning her blade forward and spreading her feet apart ready for the initiation. Her opponent had been sizing her up, not realizing momentum was already lost. It was lost the second Sophia decided to attack bringing her blade forward towards her armored opponent, her blade just barely being blocked before her smile returned "First blood is mine", her words only accompinied by the fact she would manipulate the kinetic energy the moment she pulled her blade back just an inch and tilted it. Typically she would just not have the momentum, but now she did as she stepped forward, her strike being as heavy as it would had she gotten a running start causing her opponent to lose grip on the blade and then get a nasty open wound on their should. While Sophia was now behind her opponent, cleaning the blade.
"First blood, I win"
Though she understood it was a bit harsh as she received the prize money, she had no regrets, even as the look on her no longer opponent was full of disbelief, and had been stunned by such an outcome. Shaking her head, Sophia had even droppd her blade, and walked off, no longer caring, she did the job, and it was now done.
